I thought the Big Show had zero interest in working with the WWE.

I mean, if they want to be consistent (and WWE's storylines rarely are), then it would have to be a superstar that "surrounded" the ring a few weeks ago on RAW.

Winter Storm Sep 4, 2007 02:01 PM

Now I think it really is show.

Remember the thing some years ago with him being a bastard child? And he was called "Big nasty bastard"?(or something like that) Maybe this is a continuation?

I don't know.

Slash Sep 4, 2007 02:59 PM

Yeah...but I don't think WWE will bring Show back because of that angle from the attitude era between Show and Boss Man

dagget Sep 4, 2007 05:15 PM

Big Show stated he was done with WWE anyway. Besides last night it was stated that the person is a current WWE superstar anyway.

Slash Sep 4, 2007 05:43 PM

It'd be kind of cool if they brought Oleg Prudis or whatever his name is, up to the Main Roster now.

And I have to say that there is one GOOD thing with this Steroids Scandal.

Aside from the obvious title changes that needed to happen.

WWE just lost all predictability for a couple weeks.

SuperSonic Sep 4, 2007 09:08 PM

I've been starting to watch ECW lately and I think the reason is the Boogeyman. He's pretty popular since his character is very original...I mean, what other superstar puts worms in his mouth and smashes a clock over his head while his staff gives off that strange red cloud?

Plus he seems insane and that's a plus.

Slash: Yeah, I agree about the predictability and while some title changes did need to happen...the most important one hasn't. :(

Slash Sep 4, 2007 10:06 PM

What I thought to be the most Ironic thing...

Boogeyman = Marty Wright..
Marty Wright = Brother of Charles Wright
Charles Wright (Godfather) = Papa Shango

And to continue with the lowering of morale within the WWE, Ric Flair reportedly quit due to a lack of push.

rockthepartay Sep 4, 2007 11:22 PM

Man oh man.

I knew he was pissed (and rightfully so) for not being apart of the previous Wrestlemania, but man. This is terrible news for the WWE.

mortis Sep 5, 2007 01:48 AM

A bit of an update on Flair, he quit but they aren't going to let him go...yet. They are trying to find something for him that will cause him to stay. Still, the idea of Flair wanting to quit, well...that speaks volumes.

I guess so. He was slapped on the reject brand :/. It didnt help matters that a guy who's been out of action for 9-10 months, comes back and gets title shot, while someone who's 15times champion more than him, with over 20+ years experience, get pent to the ground. Besides.. what else was left for him to do? He's done it all. Except retire as the very thing that defined him?(wwe/world champion). I'll mess him though, I could never get enough of the old school guys.

mortis Sep 5, 2007 06:46 AM

Or that he got squashed by Khali. Granted, so did many other stars including Undertaker, and Mysterio (when he was champ).

dagget Sep 5, 2007 02:05 PM

Test fired by TNA today. He had what they called an "unnatural build" and they were afraid he wasn't going to pass any drug tests. Said he can come back once he lost some weight.

Also it's been found out that Chris Benoit had severe brain damage from all those headbutts and other bumps done to the head. Which doctors are saying what probably contributed to the murders, if that's the case then steroids may be out as cause.

Seriously? Wow...would have never thought that...Then again Test did get suspended for Wellness Policy violation.

But I gotta say, when you have someone with tennis ball like biceps...that really is so totally natural ~cough~ Steiner ~cough~

Hell...who knows...with the Rut WWE is in maybe they'll offer him a new contract that will put him on RAW as a face or something

mortis Sep 5, 2007 09:51 PM

THereby making the quickest TNA career...ever?

Slash Sep 6, 2007 12:22 AM

Mmm..wasn't shannon moore's just as short?

mortis Sep 6, 2007 01:09 AM

Good point. I can't remember if Moore had more than one match or not.

Edit:

I guess spoilers but who knows...

Spoiler:

Oh, and this may be the usual 'overseas, we do a title swap back and forth' thing, but...

World Tag-Team championship match:
Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch(c) vs. Brian Kendrick & Paul London(w)
New champs, crowned in South Africa!

So Kendrick and London now have the titles. I think they might be the only team that has held the tag titles on both brands (Dudleys?).

Slash Sep 6, 2007 01:16 AM

Moore had...I think 1 match, and like a month of flaunting.

He would have had an awesome program with Styles but I think that was one of the few times I've seen TNA fuck up with talent.

That and Christian Cage, Tomko, Angle...basically any WWE "rejects" lol.

I mean seriously...before Cage came over Styles, Joe and Daniels were huge. The triple threat matches they had were some of the best stuff I've seen.

dagget Sep 6, 2007 07:07 AM

heh Shannon Moore was all hype for TNA. I only remember him in there because he wanted my friend's band to do his entrance music then he just disappeared all together. He's got a wrestling school in NC now (which I have his business card somewheres around here)

Slash Sep 6, 2007 12:18 PM

Actually, If I remember right, Shannon Moore got the total short end of the stick because TNA never really did offer him a contract and when WWE offered him a new deal, with contract, of course he'd take that instead.

Smackdown is now the entertaining brand with Hornswoogle running around and playing pranks.

It will be Cade and Murdoch fueding with them til WGTT get back together. Thats gonna get boring. Fast.

Thanks guys! You just assured that the REMAINING WWE roster gets pushed!(maybe..)

I got a feeling that Unforgiven is gonna be the last time Cena is champion. Wishful thinking for someone posting at 2:23AM!

Slash Sep 8, 2007 01:29 AM

Hmm...or WWE could actually push the Highlanders too...Seriously...like 4 or 5 vignettes then nothing! W-T-F.

WWE has quite a few talented tag teams. Kendrick and London are one of them. WWE needs to offer Shad and JTG a good deal, get them to come back because WWE obviously is missing the boat with them. Because the crowd likes them...you make a shirt it will sell...thats a given.

mortis Sep 9, 2007 12:08 AM

I don't forsee Cena losing the title. Orton's name was mentioned a few weeks back concerning those prescriptions, so I think the last thing they would want is for someone whose name is on the list to be holding their world championship.

No Surrender Predictions

10 Team Gauntlet
VKM, LAX, 3-D, Motor City Machineguns, XXX, Styles/Tomko, Dutt/Williams, Raven/Havok, Young/SharkBoy, Hoyt/Rave

Well...All the teams but VKM, LAX, 3D, MCM, XXX and Styles/Tomko will be eliminated.

3D will get eliminated due to Steiner Brothers interference. I think XXX and MCM are trying to have a feud so I'm ruling them out. I honestly see LAX winning it here.

--------------------------------------------------------

No DQ
Chris Harris vs. Black Reign
I'm thinking Harris will come out on top but if they go all out extreme, who cares.

Kaz vs. Roode
I see Kaz winning with the Flux Capacitor after Brooks walks out on Roode. Either that or see Martyr/Serotonin interfere.

Rhino vs. Storm
Rhino after beating the hell out of Storm and probably a gore on Jackie

Joe Vs. Cage
I see Joe coming out on top because they've been giving him a really strong push and I'm hoping he'll take the title soon

X-Division Match
Angle(c) vs. Lethal
Lethal beats Angle after interference from Team Pacman to gain an edge

Tag Title Match
Angle/Sting (c) vs. Team Pacman (Pacman Jones and Killings)
Yeah right...after the NFL tried to prevent pacman from wrestling lets give them the titles while we're at it

TNA Title Match
Angle (c) vs. Abyss
Angle will win after Abyss is attacked by Judas Messias (James Mitchells new beast)

mortis Sep 9, 2007 05:12 AM

No Surrender Predictions (Yes, I "borrowed" your format)

10 Team Gauntlet
VKM, LAX, 3-D, Motor City Machineguns, XXX, Styles/Tomko, Dutt/Williams, Raven/Havok, Young/SharkBoy, Hoyt/Rave

Some faces need to win and the Steiners aren't in this match. Poor Styles, what a drop in stock for him. Anyway, LAX will be your winners.

--------------------------------------------------------

No DQ
Chris Harris vs. Black Reign
Chris Harris by DQ.

Kaz vs. Roode
Roode after Brooks turns on Kaz.

Rhino vs. Storm
Rhino.

Joe Vs. Cage
Joe, because if anything more, this poor man deserves to win this match after losing to Angle yet again.

X-Division Match
Angle(c) vs. Lethal
Lethal beats Angle after interference from Team Pacman to gain an edge (I am "borrowing" your prediction :))

Tag Title Match
Angle/Sting (c) vs. Team Pacman (Pacman Jones and Killings)
So Jones can't do anything physical and they are going to put the tag titles on him? RIght. Then again, looks who we have booking this stuff. Mr. David Arquette for world champion himself. At any rate, Sting pins Killings after Angle walks out on him and perhaps Pacman walking out on Killings).

TNA Title Match
Angle (c) vs. Abyss
Angle.
