that looks like something from Arjuna, but i dont recall that being wide screen, so im going to have to go with Mushishi in that case.

Nope! Its neither of them. Good guesses though, this shot really does remind me of the Mushishi art style... alas the story is quite far from that :)

The art looks like it might be 5 Centimeters Per Second. I havnt seen the movie so i really don't know. but also that pic reminds me of rule number 6 "Some substance to the picture(IE unless it is a symbol in the show or something easily recognized, don't post the leg to a bed or random bits of landscape,unless there is something VERY important about it)"
But like I said, I don't think I've see what this is from, so it could be important. i just don't know.

Well, that's actually a significant bit of landscape. It's from Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, by the way. It's the embankment where the story finale takes place, with the elevated highway in the background.

It's an OVA of a series with three seasons. The OVA is set in either the far future or past of the TV series, which are all connected. However, the main cast between the OVA and TV series are incredibly similar.

that screams SLAYERS GOLEM to me, but i dont recall a golem like that being in any of the OVAs only in one of the movies

I'm going to guess G-Gundam because that's the first thing that propped into my head when I saw the image. My guess is probably based on the colours.

Something tells me I should finish the ova series, but I've.. only seen one episode so far. My guess is probably Captain Tylor...? G-Gundam never had an OVA.
