Wouldn't you at least try to move further away from the door before trying to breathe? At least you'd have a chance that the concentration of nerve gas would be lower in the farthest corner of the room, but Lynn just plopped down right next to the door.

Am I the only one who feels like we are not getting to know the bad guy(s) as well during this season than in past seasons? It just seems to me that by this point in the season we knew a lot about past bad guy(s), but not the current one(s). Has Bierko given any specifics on why he didn't want the treaty signed? I remember him saying something like "I've worked too hard for this to happen." How is the treaty going to affect him? Have I missed something? I know we still have 11 more episodes to go and we can learn something, but I think we should have more information by now.

Well, I figure that once we break Henderson, we'll find out a huge plot along with a second set of baddies. I mean, with the terrorists planning to blow all of the nerve gas in one shot, there has to be another threat later on.

Spoiler:
President Bush is the badguy.

xman25 Mar 15, 2006 12:03 AM

Oh, gee wiz man. Rolls eyes. Sigh...

So you mean to say that the Russian Seperatists aren't just a mere catalyst for the writer's ham-fisted attempts at social commentary?

xman25 Mar 15, 2006 12:24 AM

Hollywood people can write all the social commentary, political commentary, and any other type of commentary they want into their products, I just can't take them seriously. Most of Hollywood is liberal and I'm NOT a liberal. And well, shot, never mind. I don't feel like getting into a political debate.

Well first of all, that's completely useless. And second, he DID use it. The moment he had to breathe again, he naturally took it away from his face since he had been holding his breath for awhile.

This isn't a political discussion, the facts are right in front of your face. Every disaster that has occurred so far in the show has been allowed to happen as a result of President Logan's terrible decision making and Impressionability. If that isn't a thinly disguised liberal view of President Bush, I don't know what is.

Think about it, he's receiving advice from his Vice President, supposedly which support said Vice President's personal agenda (Halliburton). He's a massive tool, while his wife is pretty solid (It's a very small amount of people that don't respect Laura Bush in at least some way). And he's currently willing to circumvent due process to "fight terror."

jouhou Mar 15, 2006 12:17 PM

Yay, nuttyturnip sees my point.

Anyway, it seems Logan takes citizens safety as priority over finding the gas.
Bush on the other had takes priority of eliminating threats (although he's doing a sloppy job)

Spike Mar 15, 2006 03:36 PM

Isn't that the same thing? The citizens' safety is based on finding the gas and stopping the terrorists.

Acro-nym Mar 15, 2006 08:19 PM

Not quite. Logan wants to stop the outbreak of nerve gas, but is unwilling to do anything that might jeopardize citizens' state of mind or safety. Although, like in the mall incident, he does seem to recognize that sacrificing a few to save thousands could work.

RacinReaver Mar 15, 2006 09:19 PM

Spoiler:
Not according to next week's preview. :(

I agree. It was very dramic... and such but it just didn't seem like he was fighting to live for his life.

Morrigan Mar 15, 2006 11:53 PM

I feel horribly foolish, but I had not even recognized Robocop until you guys started calling him that. Jesus fucking christ... I knew he looked familiar, but couldn't place him. Hah!

:( x 100 @ Tony's death. He should have just shot him. Argh! No fair. And yeah, Henderson waking up from, or faking, a coma, was horribly contrived. And I also chuckled at how no one in CTU dying mattered until Edgar did. That's TV for you, haha.

Um dude, that happens in almost every action movie or TV show. Not much to do with 24 clichés here. ;)

I must be really tired, because I giggled hysterically for almost one entire minute at that comment. Good job mate.

Just thought I'd post this because it's sad, yet entertaining at the same time:

Hmmm what a plot twist!
Spoiler:
Is Jack gonna totally flip out on Audrey? its sure seeming that way lol. I cant believe she sold out though...maybe someone else using her name?

nazpyro Mar 20, 2006 10:06 PM

Okokokokok. Since Jack Bauer outshowed Jesus Christ, and Tony Almeida is slighter lesser of a beast, perhaps it too will take him at least 3 days to rise from the dead. We may see him again "next season" which could possibly be 3 days later. O_O

More and more signs are just pointing to that vice president being evil. But we gotta always be prepared for the quadrouple or even quintouple (times three) bluff. Ridiculousness.

Rockgamer Mar 20, 2006 10:07 PM

If they had killed Wayne then this season would have had a ridiculously high body count, which is pretty bad since it's already about on par with season 3. Thank goodness they haven't killed him off (yet), but that still too close for comfort.

Next Week:
Can't wait for Jack to wig out on Audrey. Guilty or not, she needs a good Jack Bauer "interrogation".

Jan Mar 20, 2006 10:07 PM

Spoiler:
In the preview for the next episode he fucking grabs her throat and starts joking her so yeah flipping out woiud be putting it lightly.

Not sure if everyone watches the preview so I used spoiler tags.

jouhou Mar 20, 2006 10:10 PM

OMGWTFWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spoiler:

The preview looks so cool. I can't wait.
It was very surprising when she said her name, but there are things that don't add up but that makes future episodes even more interesting. They also brought David's brother back. I completely forgot about him. I wonder what was on the file he and Jack we looking at back in the 2nd episode.

Jack is a monster!! I wonder if he'll really go hard on her like with his other interogations.

RacinReaver Mar 20, 2006 10:13 PM

I wanted Jack to tell that chick to go post about how her heart was broken on LiveJournal.

Plarom Mar 20, 2006 10:25 PM

Jack Bauer: "We don't have an hour!!"
Umm.. Since when, Jack?

I was pretty pleased with tonight's show. I haven't been able to catch an episode in the past 3 weeks so I'm glad I'm somewhat caught up. Although, I'm pissed that I missed the deaths of Edgar, Tony, and that other dude who got the vents working. I mean, how many more main characters must die in order for Jack to save the day?

I loved the look on the German agent's face when the memory stick fried his PDA. I could practically hear someone screaming "YOU GOT PUNK'D!!!" in the background.

AC1 Mar 20, 2006 11:20 PM

Thank God Curtis is still alive.

We're Brothas....:
But in the expense of Wayne? Please not.

The music in the next-to-last commercial break was epic. Even if the first one was the "Pulse Bomb" BGM from Season 4.

China. Germany. Jack. Season 6. LOL.

Hantei Mar 21, 2006 01:14 AM

Aw man, more and more twists I'm loving this! Hey, is there some sort of connection between the VP and Henderson? Cause the VP was the only other person that knew Palmer's brother was on his way.

Interesting twists! Come on next week!
