No, it's not going to happen for many reasons. One of those reasons are the NHL bylaws will not approve a team to move if they have some kind of arena plan in place. If the IOC plan does not go through, the politicians have made a Plan B which will suffice for the bylaws. Deni is just being a turd.

By the way Deni, Has anyone ever told you that your photoshop work is very subtle? I seriously had to look very hard to see that was a fake.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

I'll enjoy my goaltending that'll only get better while dinosaur Hasek and injury-prone Lehtonen are going through knee surgery. =(

Dopefish Oct 18, 2006 08:57 AM

Hey, don't feel too bad about being in second again.

Little Brenty Brent Brent Oct 18, 2006 01:09 PM

Ohnoes, half a point. Good luck on finding some healthy replacements for your goalies when they go down. =(

Don't feel too bad about your first time being with a barge.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Oct 18, 2006 10:35 PM

Malkin really looked terrific in his first game as a Penguin. He came out hot and scored the lone Pens goal against the Devils tonight, and knocked a guy trying to check him right on his ass. Plus a slapshot of his broke the glass behind the goal. :p

Haha. Yeah that was a wicked slapshot too. After watching last night, I wouldn't be suprised if Malkin passed up Crosby's rookie season or pass him up this season for that matter.

I think I'll like Malkin better anyway since he won't whine like Crosby does at certain times.

Little Brenty Brent Brent Oct 19, 2006 01:59 PM

That's the thing I never really liked about Crosby. He seemed to whine to the refs a lot and beak off to other players way more than he should be. Sure, hype, blah blah. You're still a rookie dude, keep your yap shut until you've paid your dues.

Has anyone started making Crosby-Malkin to Jagr-Lemieux comparisons yet? Because I've been hearing them, and they annoy me every time.

Malking looks good, though. I'll give you guys this. You probably won't be playoff material yet, but you'll have one of the most exciting teams to watch.

The Wise Vivi Oct 19, 2006 06:46 PM

Nope, haven't heard any comparisons yet. I wonder how Pittsburgh is going to do this year now that they have some clout? I think this season is going to be interesting just to see how much the Penguins can improve.

As for the Vancouver Canucks (My favorite team of ALL time!), looks like a mediocre season so far. I expect them to start shining sometime around late November to early December, and continue that until March or so. Hopefully they can hang in until the playoffs....

I've heard that a couple times, but not a lot. You are right though about how we arent playoff material yet. 1-3 years I think we should be playoff material. However ending this season in .500 would make me happy as it would be a major improvement over the last 4 years.

Coincidentally, we are at .500 right now after the OT win over the Isles tonight. Go figure Gonchar puts it in the net at the end of OT.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Oct 19, 2006 09:22 PM

My dad's buddy just re-did Gonchar's kitchen. He said his wife is smoking, by the way. :)

What a great game, too. Really exciting to watch.

I wonder why Kain's mouth has been shut so tight. I wonder if maybe it's because his precious Flyers are smegma.

Haha and they won't get any better now with Forsberg out with an injury to his hand. Owned so badly.

No Forsberg means that Gagne won't produce either. Somehow I don't see Mike Knuble putting up 300 points this season to compensate, so I don't think the Flyers are gonna be going anywhere but the bottom of the Atlantic division.

Oh wait, they're already there.

And the Flyers lose again. Tsk tsk tsk.

I'm sorry, your quote seems to be functioning incorrectly. Is that what you meant to include?

Dopefish Oct 20, 2006 10:45 PM

I did what I meant to do.

Grundlefield Earth Oct 21, 2006 01:04 AM

7-0-0. 12 straight. 75 more to go. Da Bruins today. Big Chara lol.

Fire On Ice Oct 21, 2006 01:50 AM

Chara >>>> Redden D:

I was just getting back into my whiney "why god, why did we trade Havlat away?" mood, especially after that last game of ours (I'm looking at you Spezza) but then I saw the news about injuring himself, yet again! For someone so impressive he's pretty damn fragile. I certainly hope nobody around here is a Blackhawks fan.

Borg1982 Oct 21, 2006 03:04 AM

What the hell is wrong with my Red Wings lately?

Grr..
