He might've fallen on purpose and faked being unconscious, in order to let the timer reach the critical point. I'm willing to bet he deliberately let the timer go down, or he inputted a different sequence, like someone else said.
About going back for Locke, I wouldn't say it's because he actually wanted to help him, rather like with the other....Others, he was trying to establish trust among the group so he could settle in and monitor them. |

Henry is working for the Others but he's a "nice" guy. Psh! Burn him on the stack >.> |

HELLO. I am more interested in the bearded dude than my lovely little Hurley. We already KNOW Hurley is nuts. ;_; |
The magazine map describes cerberus as possibly the monster (but it only got one head) and describes its current state as a product of "The Incident of 1985". I'm wondering if this was "the" incident. But I don't know how communicating with Walt is going to lead to problems with it. As you can tell, I'm obsessed with the monster.
I wonder why fatalities are listed by where the ration drop is supposed to be. I mean damn, were people sleeping there. Also wondering why their are stations drawn in that octagonal area, yet there are other facilities listed outside of that area completely (or previous but abandoned facilities.) |
Maybe it was originally three heads, three processors - balancing eachother. But somehow, they got seperated - two (evil/good) flying around and the last one (the brain?) is in the centre?
Excuse my ignorance, but are they in the Swan? ._. edit: CV - Cerberus Virus? |

Yeah, they're all in The Swan now. The Staff is the hospital place where Claire was kidnapped to (now abandoned.) The Arrow is the place that the TailEnders found.
If they've been to The Staff, that means the girls passed by The Flame or something. I wonder if that place is abandoned like most of the other hatches. |
I like how dumb I've been at figuring out the acronyms. I couldn't even figure out AH, and now that JazzFlight mentions DeGroot, I feel even dumber. I forget who DeGroot is supposed to be, though, but I remember his name being significant.
CV could equal Cerberus something, dunno if it means virus as I wouldn't think a virus is a location. I wonder if it is being referenced when "Hic sunt dracones" appears; which means "here be dragons". Cerberus is a cool name. I tried to do research wondering if any variation of its myth said something about each head having a specific function. Didn't see anything along those lines. |

DeGroot is the name of the husband/wife hippie team of scientists who created the Dharma Initiative. (Why do they need to add some creepy music to their Orientation Films?)
Has anyone heard of any word on how many seasons this series will last? |
Supposedly five. I thought this might be too many, but since the mystery keeps getting wider, maybe it's just enough. As long as seasons 3-5 aren't as drawn out as this one, it will be fine. Let's not forget how most of season 2 has been filler with sporadic awesome episodes that draw back all who are frustrated with the lack of movement.
Don't know what they're going to do for flashbacks. I like how the flashbacks are no longer immediately relevant to the characters anymore, they're just there. This became very apparent in this past episode. |
I'm hoping that by the end of Season 2, the Hatch will either explode, or shuts out anyone from entering. The characters are having it far easier than I'd like with the indoor plumbing, boxed food, and soft beds. I like my island inhabitants smelly and unkempt.
|
My prediction? By the end of Season 2, they figure out a way to trigger something in the hatch that sends out a huge EMP and sends another plane crashing down into the island.
DUN DUN DUNNNNN |
My prediction... I don't have one.
There was one rather intelligent theory I read on another forum that predicted that next season will skip ahead by a year, the reasons being that Walt's actor has reached a growth spurt and his height can't otherwise be explained (if they try to explain it with sci-fi, I will punch someone). Also, Sun's pregnancy will be pointless to the plot if this doesn't happen; if each episode is approximately, then she'll never have her baby in five seasons. |
Maybe The Others gave him some height-increasing drug injection.
|
Maybe that would be retarded :(
|
Am I the only person who thinks Season two has been better than season one?
|
You are not alone. Apparently, we are in the minority though.
There have been just as many "Holy shit" moments in Season 2 as there were in Season 1. |

Ahh...
Hey... I doubt any of you remember this but awhile back in the old Lost thread, I made a post about how I saw the crew filming the Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack scenes at a Popeye's here and I posted some pics of it. Well, something in the screen of Locke's dad's car made me remember something. I went to look at my pics that I took of Hurley and DJ Qualls waiting to film a scene. http://members.aol.com/kudoshido/bwah/lost09.jpg http://members.aol.com/kudoshido/bwah/lost11.jpg And um, well I dunno if it actually means anything significant towards the show's plot, for all I know it could just be some prop that's not meant to be looked at because those obviously aren't the same cars, but look at the license plates? |
Here's a more detailed picture of the map with translations of the Latin:

I recently found that 'here be dragons' is a phrase used to note that one does not know what is in that area. Previously I thought it had greater meaning, but it's just a figure of speech. To those who didn't know. I know I've seen one translated map that had the phrase shown as, "There are dragons here". Which is kind of like translating "holy shit!" to "shit of God!"
"Shit of God". I think I'm going to start saying that a lot. |
