You can sort of manipulate the AI into doing what you want them to do, but if you mess up they get into a groove and you pay for it.

Algol on 60F is pretty funny since when I fought him he instantly KO'd himself by Ring Out.

Online mode is killing me. I am feeling lag even when I'm doing something as simple as 8WR. Throws my entire game off. It's sad when I can't even block or GI Siegfried's strings that end in a low attack. Seems like the frame-intensive stuff like throw break and GI/P need a 2 to 3 second lead time.

In terms of character customization, I hate how you have to put on all kinds of ugly, mismatched gear in order to get the stats you want.

And all those CAS suck compared to my eagle head Mitsurugi.

So am I the only one who busted their ass getting honors just so they could unlock all the CaS clothing options?

I've got half of the honors unlocked, but none of them were intentional. I hope to unlock everything in CaS, in the hopes that there is something that will let me make accurate versions of past characters---why does Namco introduce faggotry like Yun-Kimchi, when they might as well bring Hwang (and Li Long) back.

I tried to make Hwang, but 90 percent of the faces were fucking shit (are there even any new faces you can unlock). Also, the style you choose is a complete mirror of the regular character, down to the pose---since Hwang's style is Xianghua's, he looks faggy as hell.

I'll give Namco my money without hesitation if they put more Soul Calibur 1 stuff into CaS---oh nevermind, the DLC is already on the disc.

You don't have to have an ugly mismatched dress-up for good stats.



I initially got 30 honors for the equipments too. Now I get the remaining honors for the sake of completing the list. And it's the better alternative for all equipment than going through the tower's treasures.

Honors left are (4): 100 Criticals, 200 impacts, obtain 350 equipments, all equipments and weapons.

It's just a matter of patience for these now.

I'm gonna be getting most the honors since they also count as achievements on the 360 version. That and it's alot better then trying to get all the chests on Tower of Lost Souls.

Anyone else alittle disappointed we can't use the Apprentice or Bonus Character weapons for CAS? I know the Bonus characters movesets are just copies of other characters but they have their own unique weapon graphics. Although knowing what they already did, they're probably more then willing to charge us for it.

Then you can probably go ahead and stop, since there sadly is not.

I think the fact you can't use lightsabers for CaS is a legal thing; they don't even let you change the colors for the Apprentice.

I would have loved to CaS using Shura's dual katanas. Yes, I could have used Cervantes, but it just doesn't look as nice.

The Lightsaber itself is a separate license, I think, so they didn't want to pay more for that kind of customization? I dunno.

This would be what I'm talking about, though I've neutralized it by learning a little more with Mitsurugi and taking more advantage of his 8 way run arsenal against the slower characters, so now I'm winning every 4 or 5 matches or so before taking a loss to another Kilik spammer.

Nice, but will he do that every time? He has about 20 ways to ring you out as well. I love that fight though if only for that stage music. I ended up raping Story on Hard repeatedly until I had enough gold, S Rank is 24000 gold.

Are you kidding? I got from 600 gold to around 50k in around 2 minutes, including loading time. Just have some common sense to equip Nullify Ring Out A and your last few honors are yours in no time. Going through story is a waste of time.

It certainly wasn't a waste of time for me, but to each his own I guess. I've never beaten Algol at all using that method, I beat him normally each time I fight him. Eventually I got to the point that I decided to just rip the stage music and leave it be.

I don't really regret doing it the way I did.

Mitsurugi's 8WR 2/8 A+K is a fucking beast---the range is nearly nonsensical, and people don't expect it.

...are there unlockable items exclusive to the Tower of Lost Faggots mode, or can I just unlock all this with honors.

I've beaten Algol countless times with my farming team, the legit way. I still get 12.5k gold in 1~2 minutes or so compared to 10 minutes of story mode for 24k. I've already beaten story with everyone, no point wasting time on it.

And going through 10 minutes of the game in real time for 24k isn't a waste of time compared to getting 12.5k gold in 10-20 seconds? If you say so.

No exclusives except a stage unlocked in 14th floor or so. The rest can be bought from the shop after honor unlocks them.

When I played through Story as Algol, that move is the only reason I lost a fight. I did it by complete accident.

Whoa, you basically need like, 3 million gold to buy everything. I just got the honor for all weapons and equipments, and my final gold tally was 3028450 on my Tower of Gold counter.

Just finished getting all honors and achievements in the game. Got my Hero King achievement and now I can finally brush this aside for a while, but I'd still be more than glad to play with some GFFers from time to time.

Too bad the PS3 version doesn't have achievements. I've got nothing to do after getting all honors.

They didn't implement this in their new trophy system? I'm surprised, I would have thought they could since they basically have everything already in place for it.

At least it was built in to this game so you could take advantage of them regardless, which is a good thing.

The trophy system is bullshit. So far, main PS3 titles like MGS4 and SC4 doesn't have any trophies. Heck, 90% of the current titles doesn't have trophies. I don't even know of any game that has trophies. They tried copying Xbox's achievement system, but pretty much failed so far.
