since there's the live action movie, i doubt there'll be an anime version of it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an anime adaptation of Death Note, but for some reason I like the idea of it being a movie better than it being an anime series.

EDIT: According to the Weekly Shounen Jump issue 24 table of contents, Death Note really is receiving an anime adaptation.

Oh yeah, Nana and GTO but Deathnote is all mostly talking so I didn't think there'd be an anime of it.

definately. We all remember the teaser that we saw in FMP Second raid , correct? But the anime version has to be the original characters designs by Obata - he also did Hikaru no Go Anime.

I discovered NANA through the anime. It looks good . Good enough to not read the manga or watch the live action movie. same goes for GTO.

I assume 108 will be the final chapter. Now that the pansy has finally reached death.



edit: According to other sources, Death Note will also be adapted into a video game. platform is unknown.. but i sure want it for ds for some reason lol. Phoenix Wright is a good example ^^:.

As stated by soulsteelgray, there will be an anime people. It will be interesting to see and if they can do it without having to resort to limited animation or outsoursing like I said in a previous post.

As for the game, an anime I can see.....but not a video game. I mean sure there is Jump Superstars....however a video game based off of the series is a bad move if I say so myself. I mean....the series doesn't really have enugh to have a video game based off of it....it's not something like Naruto or DB/Z/GT that it is easy to base a game off of.

Any manga/anime can be made into a fighting game. If not by bandai then maybe by a few fans. It can be done u.u..

Well, I guess at least when the manga is "done" the anime will get a better attention instead of stupid filler stuff that's been happenin' to Naruto per say.

I can't stand the two extremes of how Mikami's drawn. He looks cool when calm and collected, almost as if he could outwit Raito himself. But then the last few times when he's positively deranged, they're completely repulsive. He should've been more collected.

Cool possiblity? Near fuses with Mello and Ryuuzaki L returns!

i can't believe death note is ending. it seriously could've milked alot more money.
but i'm so glad it didn't drag on too long. i thought L's saga was the sadistic end to the story.

When the anime comes out, I get the feeling they're going to drag the L story (in between the 50 day suspension and yotsuba arc) a tad bit longer. Its nothing bad IMO. Everyone loves L , he's my favorite character and to see him team up with Yagami a little longer would be nice.

Gotta think about that. Yagami can't be a God unless he knows the future like the actual God. Lets not go religious with this topic please. That's just an example. Too many forums right now are using religious quotes on Death Note, its killing off the Image of a great Manga that is probably the best Jump manga of all time.

Not to mention, Too many Yagami-Cry babies are finding the meaning of 108...

Yeah i read the spoilers. Not surprised though. A few people didn't like the ending. I thought it was fine the way it is. Though now i think the anime version will have a different kind of ending.

I believe that Ohba got a little tired of DN. Some of you think that the ending's been a little rushed. I think the anime will have a different ending cause the manga's version was a little so so .
