Garbage split and deleted. You may proceed.

I might be really optimisitic, but I'm hoping this game is good. Then again, I thought that Dirge of Cerberus MIGHT have been good, because they might do something original by not doing an RPG.
Square: please go back to RPGs. You suck at everything else. Still, it's a good start to include characters like Cain and Zidane. We'll all ignore the idiot Sephiroth inclusion. I mean, how many times does Sephiroth have to look up at us from fucking fire? I'm so sick and tired of that bitch. They should make a seperate game for FF7 characters and let the idiots who OMG <3 SEPHIROTH go and play that, instead. One last thing: it seems cheap and campy to include the "Warrior of Light" from FF1. FF1 is outdated and blows. The "Warrior of Light" has no personality. Garland, however, is permissible, if only because, like, his helmet, you know, has HORNS. And THAT is fucking awesome. |
This sound somewhat interesting. The odds would definitely be in favour of it not being great, but could turn out alright. Aside from those in the preview video that Infernal linked to have any other characters been confirmed? I can't see mention of anyone else and can't believe a fighting game would have just five or so characters.

Just dropping in with the latest characters revealed to be in Dissidia, Tidus and Jecht (YOU BEEN EATIN' RIGHT BOY!?):
Large Scan:
Now, I know some people are getting nervous about folks from FFIV-VI being conspicuously absent but we'll just have to wait and see. |
O.O at Tidus' outfit. Well that's different. Jecht looks pretty much the same. Still hoping for Locke (hope his hair's gray though) but chances are slim at this point.
This will be the 4th game I'll be importing for the PSP. |
Tidus and Jecht? Well I guess that makes sense... Father vs Son good ol' fashion brawl...
Don't quite get Tidus's modified outfit though. Whats with that red jewel hanging on his white shirt? And I want Terra from FF6. I really really do. This game is getting too much pretty boys to my liking. |

You take that back about Final Fantasy 9.
|
I'm pretty sure that they'll be including a Final Fantasy IV character (Cecil-Kain or something) because of the upcoming release of the DS game.
This 'abortion' is probably going to sell out the first day in Japan. I wonder which bad pop star is going to do the main theme. =/ |

I thought Kain and Cecil from IV along with Sephiroth from VII were already confirmed a few pages back...unless that was a hoax.
Edit: Okay, I'm not finding any evidence that Kain and Cecil were confirmed |
Oh, you're right. Guess I forgot.
Is Square-Enix going to give us any actual gameplay ideas, or are they just going to keep releasing what old characters are going to appear? Christ, this game has been announced for a year now. We should be nearing release, shouldn't we? |

Anyways, I love clash up games, for like a week then I'll just leave it be. But what a week it'll be. |

No, Square needs to stop that shit. This game is shaping up to be Ehrgeiz II. |
His life is a chip in Square's pile, Deni. They're just anteing up.

Not that I'm defending the game, I have no intention of buying it whatsoever. I just think it's a big wanky to talk about your memory of special characters being raped by seeing them re-designed with bigger boots and more zips. |
