Thats ummm....$12 with the pad...Thats a really good deal if you ask for my opinion. The store that does trade ins around me don't even take DVD movies for games...other than that I did buy it for my friend for $45 without pad at Toys R' Us. Depending how many DVD's you traded in I say it was a good go for you ^_^

I think Sakura looks stupid...lol...like the whole word "Sakura" across her face, I don't know it just makes me mad. She looks so much better in the japanese Extreme.
|
you're not exactly looking at the background when you play this game >.> I just really like the song
|
The background should be the least of your worries...
|
Well u not looking at arrows when they are not there either you know
|
I never understood that about DDR players... ok you can play a FPS with a billion little things going on online and pay attention to all of the situations and yet... these same people can't view the background video while playing a song? Come on... you guys just aren't paying it any attention!!!
|
... I don't look directly at the background. I'm concentrating on the arrows, as I don't any pattern by heart yet. I'm concentrating mostly on my accuracy, so no time to waste to check what's going on in the background. In FPS, who cares if you get hit, you won't get anything if you survive with your health full, you if you have accuracy to hit your targets.
|
I found a hacked sace somebody made and took a look at it previously...and somehow he has the song Trim and I believe 3 other songs in the list where you buy those songs...and the songs are purchases yet nowhere to be found on the song list...
It was weird...thought I should share that...lol |
Yeah... I don't look at the backgrounds much either... I'm usually too focused on trying to get that a AAA I haven't gotten yet and trying to stay on beat more than pay attention to something that could throw me off.

Breaking News!! (well, it's a week or so old now, but this thread's been dead for a month)
DDR SuperNOVA JP CS will be released on January 25, 2007. The OST will also be released on that day, and according to Zenius-I-vanisher, it could possibly feature long versions of KO's as Bonus Songs. The 2nd CD, as tradition follows, will be a nonstop megamix of the songs. http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/pictures/ddrsnjp.jpg That is supposedly the official cover, and what a cover, way better than ours. |
Ok, it's update time!!
We're a mere 23 days away from DDR SuperNOVA JP CS's launch, and I've got 38 confirmed songs (assuming you didn't do research yourselves). Frankly, it's a little short, but again, whole songlists usually don't get confirmed until like, 2 days after a game's launch, because Konami likes to keep us in the dark on these things. So anyway, I'll shut up and share the confirmed list so far: Licenses A LOVE LIKE THIS - PANDORA CENTERFOLD (130BPM move it remix) - CAPTAIN JACK GIVE ME UP - LH MUSIC CREATION JERK IT OUT - CAESARS LONG TRAIN RUNNIN' - X-TREME LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT (Twin Masterplan Mix) - KYLIE MINOGUE MODERN GIRL - SHEENA EASTON MR.DABADA (Groove Wonder Remix) - CARLOS JEAN TOXIC (FT Company Edit) - HELEN KO's (Konami Originals) Baby's Tears (SKY GIRLS OPENING THEME) - RIYU KOSAKA Flow(true style) - Scotty D. revisits U1 Fly away - ChiyoTia HANA RANMAN(Flowers) - TERRA HONEY PUNCH - RIYU KOSAKA INNOCENCE OF SILENCE - nc ft NRG Factory Morning Glory - BeForU My Only Shining Star - NAOKI feat. Becky Lucinda PEACE(^^)v - BeForU SEDUCTION (Vocal Remix) - NC ft. NRG Factory Star Gate Heaven - SySF. feat. Donna Burke TRUE LOVE - jun feat.Schanita Bemani Crossovers AA - D.J.Amuro CURUS - D-crew Dragon Blade - Kozo Nakamura HAPPY ANGEL - jun with TAHIRIH Konoko no nanatsu no oiwaini - Asaki Mugen - TERRA No.13 - TAKA respect for J.S.B RED ZONE - Tatsh & NAOKI Xepher - Tatsh CS Exclusives BALALAIKA, CARRIED WITH THE WIND - Julie ann Frost Brazilian Anthem - Berimbau '66 Boss Songs CHAOS - DE-SIRE retunes Fascination MAXX - 100-200-400 Healing-D-Vision - DE-STRAD New songs Feelings Won't Fade(Extend Trance Mix) - SySF. MOONSTER - kobo uniting Marsha & D. Trim - kobo Orange isn't gonna be their actual color. Don't panic. I just did that because I don't know which section these songs will fall under. Chances are, they'll fall under the KO section, in which case, I'll fix when I have the full songlist. That's the list that's been leaked so far since the last update, I believe. Not too shabby, I must say. We'll just have to see what's left when the game comes out. And don't forget, the OST comes out either the same day or the day right after. |
I thought they were going to do a complete Arcade cross-over for the PS2 like they did for 7th mix and Extreme...if not then is there really a purpose of even getting this?
|
A full Arcade cross-over would be too brutal. Something about costs to use songs or something like that. And besides, the AC version must be at least 5 or 6GB due to the vids, songs, and engine, not to mention nonstop and challenge courses.... unless someone has the AC version pirated and can prove me wrong, because if I understand correctly, PS2 discs are like normal DVD's, and can only handle 4.7GB of crap.
Now, I'm not saying yeah, all 300+ songs... but even for 110 new songs, it'd be costly, especially since if I got this right, BeForU isn't Konami's property anymore, and they'd probably charge more. Space used probably wouldn't be an issue at that rate, though. Plus, people on DDRFreak and Bemanistyle are saying that if they did put a high number of songs, no one would be looking forward to a sequel or something like that. I'm not surprised the CS Exclusives list is small right now. They used up pretty much all the UM1 and UM2 songs in Festival and Strike. All they really have left is UM3 songs like Brilliant RED, Rainbow Flyer, and Brazillian Anthem. Frankly, to fill that gap, I think they should add a couple KO's from UM4, such as GO!, bit mania, Grandolin, and maybe... maybe.... not that I'm a big fan of it... that Insaner remix (as another Boss Stage). Or hell, more SP songs, like Disabled the FLAW, R5, Real, or Evolution (SP14) |
The reason Konami doesn't do that is because it leaves no room for sequels since they are lazy and greedy like all corporations are. It's that simple, and that should be understandable.
|
Yeah DDR8th Mix is only 1gig and how many songs does that have...DVD's hold from 4.7 gigs to almost 8 I believe. Konami is beginning to suck hardcore for DDR...and thats pissing me off
|
Don't worry. I'm sure one day, when Konami's ready to shut the doors on DDR, they'll make some kinda FINAL MIX featuring just about every song in existance, but let's hope that's not gonna happen anytime soon. After all, I, like a few others, are expecting to hear of a SuperNOVA 2 or something amongst that line in the next 4 months.
|
It can leave plenty of rooms for sequels.... All you have to do is do an ultimate mix and then after that do new songs on new discs. ._.; It's not that hard to keep up with things and put new songs on new discs but yet have flash back disks.
|
If Konami keeps DDR going like this they should really just close the door now because these new DDR's coming out is not really all that...ummm...whats the word...good i guess...its just now they trying to compete with ITG and its stupid
|
Well, I gotta agree because of the boss songs. Really, those are the only proof that they're trying to make DDR harder than ITG, or equally as hard, and I'm not leaving out the Max 300 Super Max Me Mix Challenge steps. Retarded, if you ask me.
Konami needs to stop worrying about difficulty all the time. Honestly, I'm tired of 10-footers, and not just because I can't pass them, but because they can sometimes be extremely stupid. Honestly, I think if Trim were to be on the next AC mix, it would be a downfall, because the BPM changes too much, and some of the steps are just retarded, like 1/4 to 1/8 steps that are the same direction at 260+ BPM, just stupid, and they have several of them in Trim, 2 of them in M3SMMM. So, yeah, they need to just simply concentrate on making good songs and making them fun. Case in point: Brilliant RED, RED ZONE, Seduction Vocal, Rainbow Flyer, Midnite Blaze, Hero Happy Grandale, Xepher (Expert, anyway), GO! (remix on UM4), songs like that. |
I thought the boss songs were just fine on Expert, but when they made the Oni steps I think they were trying too hard to make difficult steps that they ended up being sort of a mess in the end. SMMM's oni steps I think are the most well-done, while FAXX's is just Expert's steps with a few random twists that don't make much of a difference. FELM though..evil, baadd. x_o
Maybe since Konami acquired ITG that they'll get the stepchart people to teach a thing or two about quality charts. At least i'm hoping. :D |
Well, FaXX and HDV's Expert charts are so-so, considering I can only pass them via keyboard, controller, or arcade stick (working hard to pass HDV Expert on pad, though), but Felm's is still slightly retarded and has similarities to a couple ITG 10-footer Experts, if not 11's. Plus, 400 BPM is just too fast for me.
CHAOS's Expert is pretty much a 9, not a 10. It's only a 10 because of all the stops, but memorizing all the stops and listening to the song a lot, not to mention studying the chart through various failures and controller usage, I know I can beat it on pad. But yeah, you're right, the Challenge steps are ridiculous. I mean, who the hell can do all those twists at the end of HDV Challenge? I wanna see vids of people doing that, and still getting in the 9.0-9.6mil point range. |
I've only been able to do HDV's oni steps with a controller, since they are just too annoyingly fast to do with my feet now..FELM's ending is the same thing, while CHAOS oni isn't all that bad as long as you know the stops and can handle streams..speed mod helps too.
I watched a vid of someone finishing SMMM oni with 10 greats or somethin like that, and watching the pattern they use when doing the ending stream really helps out in practicing it..before I just got flooded with good's and almost's from quick adjustments but now I can handle it fine. :D |
Regarding the ridiculous boss songs SN provides us, I suppose Konami realises that players are much more skilled than they were years before, and want to accomodate that change by playing the difficulty up. A good share of the market consists of those players who buy the home version to practice, and if there is nothing to look forward for home, Konami loses out. Not a particularly profound observation.
As for HDV, I still have not found the connection to the previous versions of the song. I tried humming the original melody after the triplets finally let up, but it does not really work. . . |
What's ITG?
Second, I wanted to add about the whole ultimate mix cds. What's the difference between me owning all the CDs can pop any ole one or them making an ultimate one where I spend yet anther 50 bucks for it? Hmm? They could still make money doing it and produce more. :X |
