Haha, look at you.

I'm not trying to have an intense heat flame kill each other war here, I mean, we're discussing Smash Brothers for shit's sake. I mean, I understand you're probably some sort of uber-fucking-elite gamer, but by god. Pull your head out of your ass. |
Jigglypuff is clearly one of the best characters in the game. Anyone who doesn't realize this probably hasn't played with him for more than five minutes. Or hasn't gotten the crap beaten out of them by a good Jigglypuff player. :)
Oh, and calling someone on their bullshit is all well and good, but there's really no need to be so incendiary about it, is there? |
Yeah...I've actually seen Jigglypuff used EXTREMELY well

I was too lazy to get the link earlier, but apparently nobody else actually found it, so...

So maybe that link above will help for those who understand Korean? |
Speaking of 3rd party. I also hope we get to see X of the Mega Man X series. But this time he'd just use his fists or his kicks. Or, another sword weilder. Which would be SVC Chaos' Zero.
But, more than anything, I'm hoping to see Boyd or his brother; Oscar get onboard for this sequel. |
I'd really like to see Nintendo's more obscure, and, generally, unheard of franchises be represented in Brawl in some capacity. Probably, moreso than third party characters. Sonic and Snake are cool, but, meh. I'm sure there's another one or two that we haven't heard of yet, too.
Famicom Tantei Club, Kaeru no Tame ni Kane Wa Naru, Marvelous: Another Treasure Island, Sennen Kazoku, etc. |
back to conversation on previous page: How is Jigglypuff one of the worst characters?
It's so fucking cheap. I love it. |
I suppose that people complain that she's too light. Because she can easily be knocked out, means that she doesn't stand much of a chance fighting in battle.
I know, if used correctly, Jigglypuff is a beast. After watching a combo video, it's proved that she's even more a beast in battle. Oh~ how it is to implement the Rest ability consistently. :3: Today's Update: They just talk about returning Pokemon. Suicune, Lugia, Entei, Staryu, Bellossom, Ho-oh, Wobbuffet, Togepi, Snorlax, Celebi, and Mew. Because Celebi and Mew are so rare, they have a chance of dropping a present also. |
Speaking of Brawl. Did anybody catch the following Pokemon that's now been brought to light in the new update?
|
The rare Pokemon giving you a gift thing is interesting, I suppose.
|
Well, especially if it's a CD. You get to have a selection of music pieces played during that stage.
|
EDIT: Damn you people.

There are screenshots of each one if you want to take a look. |
Along with the returning Pokemon, there's also that Rayquaza snake-like dragon Pokemon which;

Regarding Jigglypuff, she's very good in 1v1, but really does suck in a 4-player match, so the argument can go either way.
|
And it seems that Gamestop.com posted the date of what seems to be the game's official date of the guidebook, February 4, 2008. 6 days from the game's release. Well, seeing as I like collecting these books. I'd go for it IMO.

I'd probably just get it for the sake of finding out who all the unlockables are.

She's just so light that it's ridiculously hard to keep her on the level against heavy hitters like Marth, Roy, and Ganondorf. Honestly though, the best tactic I've found with Jigglypuff is her medium A attack, coupled with her foward A - delightful. The medium A usually negates most other attacks and her forward A is (obviously) her best smash. Sure, the Jigglyball works, but only so much especially when other players learn to counter it (not too hard). The reason I say she was one of the worst is because she's got such a different style to her. You can't go ten matches playing with Jiggly and then switch to another more normal character (especially with the way she jumps). Another downside is that, excluding her regular B attack, all her B attacks suck. Her up B is virtually usually in Multiplayer, and usually in 1v1 when you're fighting with a character who doesn't have a slow attack speed. Sure, once you get her down, you've got her, but I wouldn't call it cheap, really. Maybe a beginning Jiggly user would use it cheap, but I've found that with most cheap tactics (excluding Marth's) people eventually find their way around them and turn it to their advantage. A good example of this would be when I try and Jiggly ball Link, then he blocks and counters with an up B on the return. |
Yes... a down+B move that KO's people at 40% is completely useless.

Protip: No one's stopped posting on my account. I've posted maybe a dozen times in this thread total, and it seems to be doing fine. Just how clueless can you get? Hell, you've posted what, three times? And you've already proven yourself to be this thread's sexninja. |
So how long until there's an update with Dixie as an assist? I mean, that was the only "new" information (well, it was a pic) in Game Informer's Smash Bros preview.

What is it with the fighting game crowd and acting like a bunch of 12 year olds? Does the genre just naturally attract people who are incapable of growing up?
|
Well we are playing a game which has the premise of playing with figurine/toys of who amount to cartoon characters and having them beat each other up for no real reason other than just cuz. So yeah it's a bit childish but it's fun so whatever.
