Anyways, its Kai Doh Maru, a short anime movie that was actually released in the states in 2003 by Manga Video. I have to admit, I'd REALLY surprised no one got this one.

Oh. That's Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo - Youkoso Tsugumi Ryouhe (What a mouthful). I watched the first few episodes, and then subs never materialized for the rest of the series (at least not that I saw).

That title is INDEED a mouthful. They should have just kept it to the first four words (which is already quite extensive). And yes, Taco is right!
