Yeah, that guy didn't really know what he was doing, he kept running out of ammo right in the middle of nowhere. The thing that really bothers me is this just looks like Call of Duty with aliens. I hope that changes when a better quality video comes out.

I hear what you guys are saying. I'm quite frustrated these days that quite a few ingame videos of games that have yet to be released, have crappy players playing the latest build. Which is understandable but never the less still annoying. I would prefer letting one of the developers play the game. Anyway Resistance looks and feels great.

I'm really looking forward to white knight, fighting Shadow of the Colosus like enemies i'm there. LIke most of you, I was impressed with the animation, the enviroments also looked very nice. My largest complaint would be the actual "white night" character model, but i'm pretty certain that it is definitely not the one we will see when we pick the game up.

Sony's apparently begun a viral marketing campaign, starting with the site PlayB3yond.com. I have no idea what it means, but it matches the general look of the other PS3 ads seen elsewhere.

Here are shrunken versions of scans that popped up online of Skate. I'm hearing that it's in 1080p but can't seem to find any solid evidence of it. Not any official quotes, nada. Oh well, here are the scans and the links to the larger ones:

That railing shot with the buildings in the background is really nice. There was no need to make 'Better than Hawk' a question though, the TH series has been horse shit for years now. :]

EDIT: It IS happening people. Heaps of folks nationwide has confirmed it (both Gamestop and EB). Pre-order numbers are low however so you would probably want to come early. 100$, Tuesday October 10th.

And of COURSE it's going to be the day that I work. Good thing my sister already confirmed that she can reserve it in my place.

I've heard a worrying rumor that EBGames/Gamestop employees are going to be given first dibs on the launch units. If that's so, there's going to be even less for us and we'll end up seeing those machines on Ebay for $1000+

Lucky for me that I'm already the first in line for a PS3 where I work. Also due to the fact that we're only a small chain, not only are we getting systems from our suppliers, the managers and owners are puting in for pre-books at every store they can. Then all thoes units are going to our store. Mwahahaha... It's pretty fun having your bosses doing all the hard work for ya ^^

I honestly wish I could go myself tommorow, but the store opens the same time my job starts (10am), so it's impossible. I trust my sister, but I worry about the follwing two variables;

1. The clerk she talks to is an idiot who immediately denies that pre-orders have started.

2. There will be a huge line of people who will fill out the pre-orders before she gets a chance.

I'm more worried about the latter. I don't know if this information is widespread enough, or if my little Gamestop in FL would fill up like that. As long as she gets there as soon as the store opens it should be fine.

Really Inhert? That kind of ruins my plans. I was going to pass by the EB Games in Montreal tomorrow to pre-order a system so that I could re-sell it on eBay. I might end up waiting in line to buy one the day of release at the local Walmart or something - I really want to re-sell one or two on eBay.

well I don't know if it's for all Canada, at least that's what the eb games close to me said, actualy they still don't even know how many console they'll get... and that they will not accept pre-order because of the limited supply...

Hmmmmm... I'm in Ontario myself so it may or may not be different for me. I think it's time for me to get my dective badge from the dollar store and my bright lamp out of the storage and start going around grilling people for info, heh heh.

Sony has always worked with companies like this for years and it seems to have paid off in the past generations. Unlike M$ who buys every company that makes a good game, and Nintendo who doesn't offer any first party support to third party developers.

Just want to let you know that I got the official word myself; I called my Gamestop tonight, and they confirmed that pre-orders will start first thing tommorow. My store will be getting in 16 pre-orders. Being a small part of FL, he doesn't think there will be a big line or anything beforehand, as he states that very few people know of the pre-orders. Also, you do have to specify which version you want, so I'll be putting my money down for the $500 model. Wish me luck (or rather, my sister).

Vancouver, B.C here
They say they will NOT be taking preorder this week.
One store says you need to trade in games for that.
The other just says place deposit or something.
Anyway, wtf =(

I am currently looking for a non-eb alternative in Canada which will gurantee a system.
