So while its fairly obvious, I feel I should point out that I got Mass Effect 2, the Collector's Edition... just waiting on it to arrive in the mail.
Speaking of purchases: Psychonauts is currently TWO dollars on Steam. You'd pay more for lunch at Subway people, I mean come on. Hurry while the price lasts. |
Just bought Psychonauts on Steam for $2 and came to this thread to let people know about the deal. Guess I was beaten to the punch!

Picked up Fallout 3: GoTY edition, Borderlands, God of War Collection, Uncharted, Dragon Age: Origins and Star Ocean: The Last Hope International this weekend. I won't be bored for a while.

Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox360
I am impressed it i also bought the wii version off the kmart site last year and that was originally the only version I was going to get. Untill i saw the town hubs on the xbox360 version and that reminded me of Sonic Adventure & Sonic 06. so now i have the Xbox360 version and i really love the werehog gameplay in this version |
Just came home from the Midnight Launch for FFXIII, going to play this all night!
Actually it's the first midnight launch I attend to and I wouldn't have went if the gamebuzz wasn't on the path I walk to get home after work XD |
I hope you feel acceptable levels of shame, sir.

Holy hell, fuck this month. Fuck this month and all the awesome games coming out. So far I bought:
Final Fantasy XIII New RE5 DLC content All 3 Borderlands DLC MAG..which I kept for 2 days before promptly trading that shit in. Thank god for the 50% bonus on trades at gamestop...I only ended up losing 14$. Darksiders ...was surprisingly entertaining Heavy Rain I also paid off the rest of my pre orders of God of War 3 and Resonance of Fate. Not to mention I will end up buying the Dragon Age Origins DLC tonight...plus the expansion in a few days. March had a surprising number of awesome games come out, is it usually like this? Last year I only remember RE5 as being the only note worthy game in March. Also I would just like to say on a side note, Gamestop employees seem to get more annoying by the year. In the last 60 days, I have visited game stops where I spent well over $200 just on games or preorders. You would think they could just thank me, take my money and wish me a good day. My purchase yesterday ended up being something close to 170 some not counting my trade ins. Right after that I paid another 110 on my GoW and RoF preorders. As I said, you would think this would be enough for them to not be annoying and ask if I want to preorder. Of course not, the bitch asked me if I wanted to preorder Final Fantasy XIV..and was pretty hard on getting me to do it. I think she even brought the "Well its supposed to come out in December, which is close to your birthday". To which I wanted to reply..."Yeah thanks, its also nine months away...so fuck off". Its too bad the Best Buy or Walmart near where I live never put their games out on time, or at all...or I would go there instead. |
Picked up FF13 last night. Got the regular guide and not CE one, while paying off my God of War 3 and actually pre-ordering THAT CE guide (which was why they tried to push me getting 13's). Also put a little money down on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the PS3. :forscience:
They also tried to get me to pre-order Red Dead Redemption and FF14 (mainly cause I had Cataclysm on presale) but I figured I'd just get RDR for my birthday since it comes out the day before. and a no go on 14. Can't even have time for WoW AND a free D&D Online, don't need another MMO. |
If you were going to get a CE guide, FF XIII would be the one to grab. That and Bayonetta are the only ones I've seen lately really worth the extra coin.

Please tell me the game involves sticking a Wiimote inside the baby, and then shaking it furiously.
|
You're supposed to just tie the pouch around it and put the Wii Remote inside that, but perhaps sticking it in the doll itself would work better.
Earlier I was prompted to put the doll over my shoulder and pat its back for BURPIN' TIME, but it wouldn't respond until I really started slapping the shit out of it. :( |
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes for the DS.
RPG with a heavy puzzle element. Liking it and developing strategies to up the higher level enemies. |
I played through that a little while ago term. It's a fun game, though it gets annoying that as soon as you finally level your heroes up you lose them since you start a new chapter.
Also, after playing through the game a bit you start to realize how rape the Elves are. |
Hello everyone. I went the last saturday to the fly market near to my house.. and I found the sequel to my favorite game ever: Tales of Symphonia.. and I bought it for 250 pesos (something like 25 dollars) and OMG.. I totally regret it.
I had read some reviews and I was aware of what to expect.. but still.. I hated the new voices, awful battle system, not to mention that you have to recruit monsters and add them to the party ugh.. I liked the voiced skits, and.. that's all |
Just got back from the God of War 3 launch and picked up God of War 3 and they were cool enough to let me buy Dragon's Age Origins: Awakening tonight too. I probably should get the DLC at some point but heard that wasn't compatible with the expansion.

Regardless, it is very fun although very repetitive; while units physically change, their attack patterns and linking strategies remain very much the same. |
Picked up FFXII PS3 for $40 ($5 off promotion at Toys R Us, $10 online coupon, employee discount from my friend), and Brutal Legend PS3 for $9 (from a Blockbuster that's closing; original case, manual, and in pristine condition since no one ever plays the game).

Now that I have a laptop that'll play modern games, I bought Dawn of War Anthology the other week which is the first game and the first two expansions.
I'm generally pretty crap with rts games, I just don't have the organisational skills or interest in build orders to play them well but DoW's emphasis on killing stuff over building stuff suits me perfectly. I'm plowing through the campaign from the basic game first and I've played enough skirmish games to work out that any AI difficulty below normal is pointless. Skexis tells me the sequel is even better so once I've played through all the bits I've got I'll probably pick up the final expansion for the first game and then the sequel and expansion. I've also probably spent more time colouring in Space Marines than playing the game if I'm honest. |
I've spent more time playing with someone else's painted space marines than playing the game.
As for Dawn of War 2, it's pretty different from 1 in regards to the single player campaign. You're no longer commanding an army and more moving about a single group of marines that level up. There's boss fights and everything. Now that you have a laptop, get Steam and look into some sweet deals and indie games. |
Yeah, I probably will do that, once I've cleared some of my backlog. Still have to finish Earthbound (I got distracted), then play the Digital Devil Saga games and I just ordered Bayonetta so I'll be playing that when it arrives too (Only £17 from Amazon at the moment).
Back in the day I had a fully painted, 3,000 point Dark Angel army and a similar sized Dark Elf one and probably only played ten or so games with each. Whilst the backstories and universes for Warhammer and 40k are incredible, the actual games weren't brilliant, Man O' War and Blood Bowl were the best games GW ever made. |
