If I was limited to releases in New Zealand only, I probably would've quit gaming by now. We're still waiting on Odin Sphere. And hey, that's a pretty cool cover art. |
In any case, he can go through with his one-man boycott while I and everyone else enjoys their awesome game.
Alright boxart, I guess. The black stuff in the background reminds me of the black spray! Dun dun! |
Haha oh wow, PAL box~

Europe has the best boxart of the three.
What. |
Yeah, that's what it's going to look like in Europe. Australia and New Zealand covers will look like this~

But I might just do it, in a vast future, when the price of it comes down to that of a single game, or if there'll be more games worth buying. |

...but in this case, NMH doesn't work on PAL Wiis. Like I said. So uh.. just buy the PAL version or the US version (if it's usable on modded Wiis when it's released) instead? |
IGN: No More Heroes Ships Early
Fucking great news, the game is getting pushed up to January 22nd. Looks like there's an American box art too: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...iL._SS500_.jpg |
Fucking fantastic news! That means it's... two and a half weeks away.
Infernal posted the US boxart on the fifth page, though. |
I guess Ubisoft finally realizing launching it on the same day as Super Smash Bros. wasn't such a good idea afterall!
|
Ahh... So he did. Well nuts to me then!
|
Thanks for the news Sprout, now I know what I'll be getting come next-next paycheck :D

Yay... but no preorder on EB games yet.

I didn't think Ubisoft would do it (as I previously noted in this thread), but they pushed it up. I can't wait to try this game.

From the choice of words, on instead of at, I assume Kimchi's speaking of the website. Although he'd be mistaken on that as well, they only haven't changed the date to reflect the earlier release.
|
US site launched, in case anyone was interested. From what I can tell, it just has that one video.

Damn, I really want to play this game. I can honestly say this is the first game that has made me seriously consider buying a Wii (as opposed to being a game I would buy if I had one). Unfortunately I'm still really backed up when it comes to games, and combine that with my lack of money and lack of time once school starts soon, and now really isn't the ideal time for me to be getting a new game, let alone a new console. This game will definitely be on my shortlist of games to get once I finally do get a Wii, though.

This game is one of the most fistworthy video games in years. It is constantly off the hook and also out of control.
|
My progress in this game ended in the first five minutes when it wanted me to flick both controllers at once in two different directions to do a throw or something. I think my wrist would pop off if I tried that! Here, have some scans from the PAL instruction manual!

Picked this up about a month ago and pretty much dedicated my gaming time to it. I can only hope they follow this up and fix some of the issues (less pointless grinding for money). Anyone else around here got it/beat it?
|
I finished it a week or so ago, and I enjoyed it. The presentation and humor was really great. I didn't feel the need to go back to it though. The boss fights were so memorable that I felt like once was enough, but they were pretty tremendous fights. It felt a bit like Shadow of the Colossus in that sense.
I'd have been happy with 15 or 20 boss fights, rather than the chores in between ranked battles. The jobs and killing missions were ok, but they slowed the game down a bit too much for me. I thought Travis was a very cool character - the most memorable/likable new character since playing as Raz in Psychonauts. |
