I'm currently playing Arcanum again, as well as The Nations.
I think I've ranted enough about Arcanum, so I'll keep this one short. This time through, I'm using a human character, rather than the usual elf or half-elf, but I'm still planning on making her a magical character. I'm not too enthusiastic about the technology side. ;) As of now, I'm still in Shrouded Hills, but after defeating Lukan the Witless at the bridge, I'll be headed towards Tarant! In The Nations, I'm currently using the Amazons in a Time Game, although I bet I'll never reach the end. It's laden with bugs, so by the time I get to that one pie/pastry invention, all the materials are being sent to the wrong buildings. |
I'm switching between Shadow of the Colossus, Disgaea and Dodonpachi Daioujou. For some reason, I can't seem to stick with one and play it hours on end.
I think Disgaea needs to be put down now. 63 or so hours and my Laharl is level 1040. I already have a level 400 Statistician in his weapon, a level 1800+ Gladiator in there, too. My plan was to get the strongest gear possible (Super Robo Suit, Yoshitsuna) and create my own overpowered team, but it's too time consuming. |
I just got Tomb Raider Legend for the PC.
My first thoughts on it were that it was a blatant rip-off of Prince of Persia, but I've actually grown to like it quite a bit. They have more environmental puzzles, and even block puzzles! (Which I love.) My main complaint with it is that the combat system is bloody awful. It literally boils down to holding down the fire button and strafing left and right without thinking. Overall, it's actually a good game. Fun puzzles, decent boss fights, and a surprisingly nice soundtrack. |
im playing shadow of rome and it is my second time around.
its a bloody awesome and when i say bloody, i mean it. its got tons of gore and hellish violence and thats what i love a lot about this game. |
Conker's bad fur day (N64) and The Legend of Zelda:The Minish Cap.
They both win at everything! I had them both laying around "anyway" in case I didn't have anything to play, mostly because it's games people say you have to have played... so I figured oh well I've got nothing else, and now I'm in a state of OMG! I love that feel of "this is real quality" in a game... |
- Metal Slug 1,2,X,3,4,5, UN Squadron, Salamander 2 on my MAME rom
some of the best arcade shooters made! - New Super Mario Bros great game though a tad short, I'm glad it has some difficulty level (it will entertain me during the 3 hour car drive on my way to be injected with blue dye) I also brought out my N64 again and switched between F-Zero X, Zelda OOT, and MM, Banjo Tooie, Perfect Dark, and Golden Eye |
At this moment I have Mercenaries (PS2) in my console. I'm about almost half way through the game, judging from how many "deck of cards" officers that I've killed/captured. This is a fun game, but pretty hard, even with some cheats on. Basically I'm using the money cheat ($1 million cheat several times, as well as the cheat weapons drop).

I'm just about to go on holiday so I started playing Gran Turismo 3 for the first time. Managed to get the domestic B license and bought a Toyota Yaris. The first few tests were almost identical to those in the first GT. Some nice tunes here but cannot vary levels of sound effects and background music I think. What the hell? Dubious AI.

Right now I'm working my way through Psychonauts on the Xbox.
First couple hours have been pretty decent, though a little easy and straight forward. The area I'm in at the moment is pretty fucking crazy anyway - as I'm searching for the Milkman. |
I'm playing
Pocket Muu Muu (PSX)-JP a game derived from the jumping flash world. basically its a game that has a collection of pocketstation minigames that you play to get money to buy more minigames/ pocketstation applications. it's got an on-board pocketstation emulator (fortunately) but i can see the value in uploading the games to a pocketstation to play them anywhere. what keeps me playing is the star ranking system. when you play a game, there are 3 stars to get, usually pertaining to different in game goals to be met such as: get a score of X, get to X stage without dying, get a perfect score, etc. so it takes a while to find out what it is that needs to be done to get those last stars. =not that anyone plays this game, but i'm currently standing at 123 stars as a pocket hero Bust a Move 2:Dance Tengoku Mix (PSX)-JP i discovered that this game didn't make it out to the US unscathed. this version of Bust a groove 2 has some ending cinemas that explain some of the omitted background of characters. The changes in this game made it different enough from the first for it to be worth playing. they carried most of the characters over from the old one (only 4 got axed?). it's pretty decent fun. i wasn't particularly fond of the new tunes, but they werent bad at all. =just finished beating the game with capoeira (my 10th pass?) beatmania (PS2) whee... i finally have a controller to play beatmania on. i'm surprised how much of a difference it makes to play this game on the official 7key controller as opposed to the normal controler. i've hit a skill-block and should probably practice before heading into hyper cause i can't FC anything in 7key greater than 4*. =currently finished passing 7key on normal difficulty. i also managed to finally pass Mobo*Moga on another with an A. |
GTA SA for PS2. Annoying me becuase I cant beat this mission where you have to steal this tanker =\
|
Are you playing the Catalina missions or something like that? Just right when you enter the truck, get out and whip out a machine gun and destroy the car. Then you can have your merry way.
|
I just completed everything in New Super Mario Bros.
Brain Age looks like it may be something I'll be able to do everyday up to some point where I just get sick of it. I'll probably just do all the Sudoku puzzles then stop. But as for other games, I'm working on Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time now. The first one was mad fun, and I heard this one is too. |
I've just finished the 2nd disc of Final Fantasy IX. It's certainly heating things up at the end where Kuja (what the hell is wrong with his/her face, seriously. KEFKA WANNABE) toasts the elephant-lady, ie Queen Brahme or whatever her fat majestic lips name is. I didn't find myself compelled by any aspect of the game at first, but I think it's growing on me. Honestly I'm just playing this just to claim another FF title under my belt and keep me occupied till perhaps either Dirge of Cerberus or XII comes out. Of course FFIX will be most likely beaten by then, but it's a stepping stone.

I'm scared helpless and broken, currently playing Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4. I dunno, number 2 is my favorite, but 4 scares the living shit out of me :(
|
OMG, I got Sid Meier's Pirates (PC) on Thursday and I've played it for 14 hours already. I should stop buying open ended games, or else good bye, social life!! This game is SO MUCH FUN!
|
What am I currently playing? Well, I started to play Ninja Gaiden again after taking a year off because my sucking at it. Pretty cool game actually! While the first time I only got to the second chapter's boss, I am already on Chapter 11 this time around. Guess people were right, you need to learn to block in this game... ;)
Other recently played games, God of War and Darkwatch. Just bought them and played about an hour of each to sample the games a little. Will go back and play some more once I finish NG. Hopefully... :D |
I'm currently playing 007: From Russia with Love on XBOX. It's a really sweet game from what I can tell but I've certainly been frustrated a few times already. Like one time my game just froze and I had to restart from the last checkpoint. Speaking of checkpoints, there never seems to be enough...or maybe that's just because they don't inform you when they save (so weird...)
For all of us Sean Connery fans, this game is really a treat, especially considering all the behind-the-scenes movies and whatnot. Next, I plan to tackle Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) which I've had sitting around for a while. |
I've owned it since January 13th, 2006, but I'm just now playing Wild Arms 4. It's a really enjoyable game and this game could teach Link a lesson -- the ability to jump is not restricted to platformers and FPSs.

Currently I am playing Xenosaga II for the first time. I know, I was slow to get around to this.
I am also replaying Metal Gear Solid for PS for my friend. And I am also replaying Shadow of the Collosus just for the hell of it. Oh yeah, I'm also in the middle of Hunter: The Reckoning with my friends. Its a multiplayer type arcade gamecube game. Kinda balancing a lot of games at once but it isnt too bad... |
LocoRoco, I didn't know I had money in my bank account so once I saw I did it was withdrew and the game was mine!
I'm also going to start Shenmue 2 soon as I just finished Shenmue 1 and have always stopped playing the 2nd after day 1, it always gets boring. |
On the PC, I´m playing Infamous Adventure´s remake of King´s Quest III, which I really enjoy although I suck pretty hard at these types of adventure games. For those of you interested, it is available for free at http://www.infamous-adventures.com/ - Highly recommended!
I also started a new round of Resident Evil 4 on pro mode - not gotten any tired of this game yet. It´s good. |
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It was $19.99 finally at the stores around here, so I picked it up. Seems interesting for an RPG, just fun stuff. So far it's got a lot of character, so I'll probably keep at it. It's actually interesting to play in that I don't feel the need to be 1337 and find all the secrets, etc. so it's just a fun time...

I've been playing Wild Arms 4. I'm about 15 hours in. In some ways, it's a refreshingly different rpg. It's has a streamlined feel to it, it's easy to keep playing. The battles are fashioned so that each encounter matters without the process being a grind and there's a fair amount of customization to play around with towards your characters. While the controls for the platforming elements are at times frustratingly imprecise (with no camera control on top of that), it still ends up being a fun addition. And the soundtrack is just as strong as any of them with some very memorable stuff.
Oh, and the radar to find shit on the world map is thankfully no more. No world map to speak of at all, actually, which is just fine by me. The story segments have definitely taken a turn for the anime-ish, much more than any entry in the series so far. It's not a style I prefer, but it won't put me off to the point of not playing. And while any random battle could be dangerous, none of them really are because there is a continue option when you lose that carries no penlites. However, the biggest rub for me is that the puzzles are no way near as numerous or to the same level as any of the previous three. I'd say that anyone looking for a lighter rpg and who isn't outraged by the drastic changes made to the series would enjoy it. |
