Anyone know the name of this VG-related song playing in the background of the first VGDJ podcast (OCRemix podcast)?

Dagobert Dec 10, 2007 03:21 AM

Any one know the name of the song that was played towards the end of Chuck in the Chuck Versus the Imported Hard Salami episode where Sarah and Casey see Bryce in the pod.

Will Dec 10, 2007 03:45 AM

Merideth Bragg - “My Absent Will”

Just a guess, I already deleted the episode.

It's not that song but that song is in that episode near the end, this one plays in throughout the episode but you dont really notice it that much since theres not much singing. The point you do notice it is arround 41:43. It's pretty much the part where Sarah says "ZOMG it's Bryce" and Bryce kinda gasps.

If found this on the depths of my HDD. It sounds gameish, but I have no idea where it could be from. I want to use it in a project and at least credit it properly. :eagletear:

I saw this british thing yesterday, called Messiah 2: Vengeance is Mine. Yeah, spiffy name. It had some classical music, with a lady singing, but I don't know what what it was. Could someone help me there?

What is the name of the song that sampled Fela Kuti's "Water No Get Enemy?" It is really famous and produced by Timbaland, I think.

YouTube - Fela Kuti - Water no get enemy

knkwzrd Feb 29, 2008 05:58 PM

I don't know of any really famous song that samples Water Get No Enemy, but there's an album of hip-hop covers of Fela Kuti songs called Red Hot + Riot, with a version of that song on it.

Does anybody know?

Inhert Mar 2, 2008 05:10 PM

It's the music "Every day" composed by Carly Comando.

That music was made specially for the popular youtube video where a guy took a photo of himself every day for 6 years.

EDIT: that song remind me that I'm searching for a music from a commercial in Quebec.

VERY IMPORTANT HELP NEEDED LOOK HERE

I received this song a little while ago, but it wasn't titled properly and the lyrics aren't getting any results on Google. Despite that, I know it was a fairly mainstream 90s white boy rap song, so I'm hoping someone here has at least heard it. Here are some (excerpted) lyrics:

everybody's looking for a devil in me...

tell me who's a devil, tell me who's a devil...

he shouts out "devil" and points his finger at me

(Chorus) Oh my God there's a devil in me (x3)

Here comes a devil comin' 'round that bend...

The devil gets bigger and we can't control its fury

Alright that's enough lyrics. If you know the song your memory is jogged. Thanks if anyone can help, and extra thanks if you don't make fun of me for liking such a lame song.

knkwzrd Apr 27, 2008 10:02 PM

The only thing that comes to mind is "Who Is The Devil" by shitty rap-metal outfit Stuck Mojo, but that doesn't quite fit your description.

Could you upload the song?

LZ Apr 27, 2008 10:23 PM

Nope, that's not the song. Trying to upload it right now, might take a while because fuck my internet.

I've never heard that song before, and I have no idea who it's by. I really don't think it's a mainstream 90s whiteboy rap song, though. Those usually stayed away from saying "motherfucker" more than once in a song, didn't use a live band as a backing track, and generally weren't about religion.

LZ Apr 28, 2008 12:00 AM

Damn :/ Could have sworn I heard it more than a few times while growing up.

EDIT: Okay, I found it. The song is called "Devil in Me" by The Circle Six, a DC-area local band that was a little bit famous around here for a while, which explains why I thought it was popular. Thanks knk for your time.

Hopefully someone might know this. I heard a song on a shoutcast radio stream that was i think jrock and had the person saying "not for sale" several times in english. I swore the song was called "not for sale" but I couldn't find it so I'm just trying to verify an artist maybe? Thanks in advance.
