Can't you just start a seperate thread about the debate of games-as-films? I would actually contribute if that was the case.

Actually I think the debate is games vs. films, but yes, I agree. Move this argument elseware as major MGS4 news will soon hit and we don't need this here.

evergreen May 4, 2006 12:03 AM

I was beginning to wonder when the E3 MGS4 stuff was gonna be discussed again.

stfu, moving on the discussion.

As for the debate, there is none. Discussion's over and complete. Argue all you want, the TRUTH IS OUT THERE. /X-files

Aight, moving on.

How's those metal gear acid games? I heard/saw they were card games? is the story good or are they just puzzle games? I'm getting a PSP something in the next couple months.

Sexninja May 4, 2006 08:17 AM

MGA had nice story...MGA2 had nice gameplay.
Both are worth checking out specially if you are fan.
MGA2 arena battles are cool where ou battle old bosses at once.
I mean Snake vs Liquid,the boss,vamp at once...thats cool.

The card system is cool too,but i am done with it.
2 game like this are enough, no more card battles please.

Check the KP Report sometime today, they should have the first 90 seconds of audio from the E3 MGS4 trailer up.

http://www.blog.konami.jp/gs/hideoblog_e/

E3 is next week! I can't wait!

evergreen May 5, 2006 02:56 AM

I so hope Raiden's the first thing we hear in that trailer and I hope it's part of a Codec conversation.

"Did you say 'nerd'?"

What do you people make out of it???
Does PMC's exist in realworld, i mean in presen era...any example?

just heard the jap report, music is fucking excllent!
Can' wait!
MGS rulz.

Congle line of abuse. Or is that conga-line. Or congaline. May 5, 2006 11:57 AM

Well, I can't wait for E3. This next installment should be QUITE interesting, bringing up Outer Heaven again, maybe Big Boss's remains will make an appearance in the trailer, they are in the initial publicity artwork.

Anyway, very excited.

evergreen May 5, 2006 12:36 PM

I liked the whole "WHOOOOOOOOOOA" bit at the end.

All together now: OOHHHHH SHIT.

Big Boss is going to return, one way or another. Weirder stuff's happened. He's inextricable from Outer Heaven. I hope he looks like Sean Connery again.

Iraq is pretty much full of PMCs. They make billions of money. Analysts say the war wouldn't even be possible without PMCs "helping out" the U.S. military.

War has essentially become a profitable business. It's interesting that MGS4 s going to pick up this topic.

SketchTheArtist May 5, 2006 01:19 PM

It'd be fun if during the trailer, whenever a dramatic moment would pop-up, you could see Raiden in the background, on fire, running from Left to Right screaming: "OH GOD!!! Help me Snaaaaakkkkkeeeee!!!"

Anyhoo, the best part of the mp3 file was the music, definitely confirmation that it's gonna take place in the middle east, especially with the vocal at the end.

Mobius One May 5, 2006 01:31 PM

Wow. Looks sounds like Liquid might be involved with Outer Heaven somehow (unless Big Boss is back, which I doubt). Who else would have an interest in reviving Big Boss' dream of a world for warriors?

Next week is going to be HUGE!

SketchTheArtist May 5, 2006 01:53 PM

Well, Big Boss will make an appearance, one way or the other since he was on the slick MGS4 brocure that was given at E3 last year.....which I still have. ;-P

Mobius One May 5, 2006 02:40 PM

Big Boss' corpse was in the character art.

It'd be cool if they revived him, one way or the other. David Hayter having a conversation with David Hayter!?? The madness!!!

Megalith May 5, 2006 03:13 PM

Haven't they rehashed Outer Heaven enough.

Soldier May 5, 2006 03:15 PM

I'm sure they'd find a new voice for old Big Boss. Perhaps they could use Solidus.

I wonder what Campbel saw to make him go "whoa".

It's a main part of the idealistic vision of Big Boss so of course it's gonna be used again.

Better than rehashing Shadow Moses again.

That would be the idea of a live-action MGS movie.

Cel May 6, 2006 02:54 AM

Sure it wasn't keanu?

edit: that sounded like someone else ... lol, or something else. Hope it's one of those really long trailers. I still have the MGS2 trailer, the trailers are always the best part from the games, I don't think anyone out there makes trailers as good as the MGS games, even movies.
