Well, I wasn't around in the Exposure Club before the crash, but from what I've heard you're a welcome presence. Good to see you here.
|
I have some minimilistic stuff on the way from the likes of kronos, Reich, and Riley.

I'm glad you guys appreciated my first post.
I think I'll upload some Digable Planets. If you guys liked nujabes... (hell, Hip Hop and jazz in general), you'll dig it. |
alright i made my first new album to dl in the other thread..the album is Port-Royal - Flares
I am sure a lot of you here will dig into it... one of my favorie electronica album of 2005 I download a lot of past posted albums since i came back to GFF... there's a lot of great stuff. Thanks to the dude who posted the mix of Nujabes and all the great japanese band i didnt know. this thread seems much more complete compare to before..awsome! later |
Well guys I have an idea. Let me know what do you think.
Seeing that I've missed pretty much the whole new incarnation of this project I thought that, by the end of the month (or something) we could just torrent the albums posted so far. If we keep the unzipped folders without changes and put them in a main folder then seeding would be super easy for the ones who have downloaded a few albums and want to get the rest, at the same time we could reach new members who find downloading via hosting 3rd parties too much hassle. Think about it, as the music nuts we are this could be great for archiving purposes. First I thought using a public tracker but that may lead to unwanted attention. Then I remembered that GFF has it's own tracker, it's lossless I know, but seeing this will be a unique exception I don't think it would be too much problem for cilegray (I hope). So, what do you guys think? Also, before the crash we were planning a contest for the albums uploaded, remember? Let the ideas flow. |
torrent the albums would be a great idea

Though, a torrent does make it easier to deal with... |
Hey el jacko, thanks for that Islands record. I've seen it in a few shops but wasn't sure what it was. Haven't listened yet, but seems intriguing.

Alright, so I figured since I've gotten alot of good music from the club, it's about time I upload something. So, I've uploaded both of the Eyedea & Abilities albums. I'll be uploading Eyedea's solo album "How Eye One The Write Too Think" at a later time.
A thing that's kind of weird about the album "First Born" is that it's hard to get the track names for it. For some reason alot of databases only have 15 of the titles. So, the songs "Untitled" and "The Dive (Part Two)" may be incorrect titles. I'm sorry, I looked for about an hour to find the actual track names, but couldn't find what they were for sure. Anyway, enjoy. |

Just to let you know, wvlfpvp, I think your rapidshares aren't working. It's not letting me download them, anyway.

Alright, nevermind. It's working this time. I'm not sure what happened last time, but I put in the code and it brought me to an upload page and at the bottom it said that the file may be expired or something like that. Nevermind. Sorry about that. Edit: Shit, turns out I can't open it up anyway. I can't open .rar on this computer, and it's the only one I have now. Fucking school computers :( |
Holy shit maneve! Props on the E&A joints.

I don't think anyone's going to be really excited about this, but I bought Napalmed / Merzbow - "Crash of the Titans" a few days back and will rip and upload it soon. Probably during the weekend.
|
Tomorrow or the next day I'll be putting up some more Miles Davis, this time the eight disc Complete Live At The Plugged Nickel 1965 box. They played seven sets in two nights in Chicago; Miles with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams. It's a great piece of jazz.
|
Instead of just downloading the Devdas OST, I'd recommend renting the movie. The art direction and everything is pretty amazing.
|
Finally got around to upping Eyedea's solo album. Enjoy.
Wvlfpvp, are you still going to YSI those albums? No rush or anything, I was just wondering since I never got any word back on it. |
