Love the new characters introduced! Its gonna add alot more to the show.

But I gotta say I am so sick of Akira. Maybe they really should put her in the show to shut her up, cause I am so sick of her BS, and its not even funny anymore. They need to make Lucky Channel funny again as oppose to having a bitter idol who's just being a bitchy attention whore at this point.

What was Yui riding on in ep 14 near the end?

I think it may be an atheletic equipment, like what treadmills are...

Maybe it was the way she was riding it but that is the wierdest Athletic Equipment I've ever seen.

It's a joba, and anyway Yui was riding it wrong :tpg: . It is a kind of exercise equipment, used to strengthen muscles in the abdominal area and back. It uses a rocking motion that simulates the action of riding a horse.

Yui looks to have some child humor in her. Like Chiyo (AzuDaioh) when she's a little clueless about a few things. Lucky channel is getting a little boring. I hope that dude tells off Akira already. And so , I come to give to everyone a gift.

Yeah I love that ED themes CD, a really clever and awesome release. It seems to me that Aya Hirano/Konata is the only one that actually practiced her songs. The others (especially Emiri Katou/Kagami) are really off and bad and it's freakin' hilarious.

I think the timing was just about right for a new character to join the ranks, and I'm glad that there's a "dry/mysterious" character too, since all the other girls are kinda squeaky, and Yui is like that too. Should keep the show interesting for a while. :D

Well, Konata's the only one there who regularly goes to karaoke so it's normal for her to be good at it (as good as Konata can get). Kagami and the rest aren't used to it so it sounds perfectly natural when they aren't as good.

Minami's seiyu is Minori Chihara (Nagato Yuki)!! No wonder she sounds the same!! I guess she was the perfect choice. :p

Yeah it's totally in-character, so it's like... Extra good. I wonder if there even was a script? It doesn't sound like it at all, and since Aya Hirano said there's a lot of ad-libbing going on in the show, it's very likely that this was just completely free (except for the song choices, which I imagine were pre-determined... Probably!).
Haha, I wanted to check if she was Minori Chihara, since she sounded so similar. Like half the cast from Haruhi makes a return in Lucky Star, it's almost like a seiyuu-fanservice show. :tpg:

ok, i never watched this one, but i DID watch the OP. it was HILARIOUS! "i buy sausage" hahahaha. they only menton it once in the beginning then they go on to sing really fast about other food items. LMAO xD

Episode 15 is out!! Another nice episode, we see the girls starting their third and last year in High School. I feel kind'a sad for Kagami though...

OMG, Haruhi references all over!!


More characters got more lines in this episode, and Akira has something to be happy about.....but I guess we'll see what happens next episode.....

The amount of Haruhi references was off the scale, or maybe I just noticed them more since I've been watching the DVDs (the limited edition box is awesome). Anyway, this episode was really great, and I'm hoping there'll be more Yukata and Minami, they're awesome.

I don't know what it is about the endings, but they crack me up, Shiraishi is hilarious.

It was really weird to see Aya Hirano and Konata in the same shot. :D Well, almost the same shot. Same scene!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I just remembered the "part of the scenery" joke, that was absolute gold.

Episode 15 was great, be it the Aya and Konata in the same scene. (Universe explodes due to paradox! :P) or the dating sim parody Konata does, or her new cousin's first day of new school. a really enjoyable episode. This show has improve so much in its comedic timing since episode 1.

I do not believe for one second that Akira's Concert will happen or pan out to plan.

It's kind of an obvious joke.

It's a parody of Da Capo, complete with ribbons and name flashes.

I'm a nerd for immediately noticing that Kagami's mom is voiced by Kikuko Inoue.

The dating sim parody was funny as hell, mostly because Konata was supposed to represent 4 different girls!! Each time they flashed "Konata Izumi" I was like LOL. Plus the guy they showed - you couldn't see his face but by his hair you could tell it was a male Konata!!

I actually knew Kikuko Inoue was in it from the beginning when I checked out the cast listing. I only ever really knew it was her from her voice in the episode where she asks Kagami to wake Tsukasa up during the golden week holiday. That and the off screen voice in episode 1, when Konata visits a sick Kagami at home.

I caught a speed sub of episode 16. Absolutely hilarious. I can't wait for a better version to come out.

Aya Hirano switching between Haruhi and Konata mode was exquisite. Kagami's reaction to everything was even better.

Ep16 was a good episode. Kyon and that other girl (forgot her name) made their cameos XD. Konanta getting into character was the best part even if I didn't like Haruhi that much >=p

One of the best episodes so far, probably because the focus wasn't on Konata/Tsukasa/Kagami all the time. Miyuki and her mom got decent stage time, as well as the other cast members (PATRICIA MARTIN GET).

The other random extras (Aya Hirano's excellent role switching and the fullblown Haruhi reference) were also great.

Only thing the episode was missing for a clean sweep was Yui.

Watching this series makes me want to watch Haruhi now...with the ridiculous amount of references and all. Yes, I haven't watched Haruhi yet.

Oh man you have no idea what you missed out in this episode by not watching Haruhi.

This episode was brillaint, be it the Haruhi references or the other slices of life jokes.

I thought it was a nice touch to have "Akira" sing the actual ending too. I couldn't really tell if it was an original song or not, since it sounded really traditional, but sometimes they just write songs like that brand new.

Anyway, I didn't think they would show the cosplay cafe at all, so I was surprised! Especially since they were sent on some kind of wild goose chase, the first thing I thought was "they'll be stuck in Gamers so long that the cafe closes before they reach it". And then there was the indecipherable map, so I didn't think they would make it then too. I wonder if that was intentional? Anyway it threw me on a loop for a bit. It was really funny to see someone like Kagami who doesn't know the characters react to their behaviour. :D

The first half of the show was my favourite though, just them talking during lunch break about all kinds of things.
