I had no idea whatsoever that my download speed was this high. o_o |
Man, you narrowly did it, but you took out Moon on this.
NEW CHAMPION. |

http://www.quiteajolt.com/gff/132146056.png I honestly have no idea why the upload is that high, because I've definitely never uploaded anything that quickly. It could possibly be the program bugging out because dial-up is so slow. Quote:

Actually, I didn't because I couldn't and still can't. For some reason only your results won't show up. It's like the sheer awesomeness (I assume) has caused a black hole. But seriously, wtf?

Can you see my sig or the image following this question? http://www.quiteajolt.com/gff/59.gif
Looks like you might not be able to connect to my server. :( (the measurement was 33228 kb/s down, 17165 kb/s up) |

edit- now it is. :p |

I have the worst internet in the world. I live in Ventura, Ca in a pretty nice neighborhood but not a newly built one.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/136902869.png SBC SUCKS. I don't know what to do. The max download is really capped at 80Kb/sec and 40kb/sec upload. |

Moved into a new apartment. For the first test, I used the Atlanta server, but for the second I used the Jacksonville, FL server just to see. http://www.speedtest.net/result/148236732.png Little slower on the upload, but a bigger improvement for downloading. |
I'd have to say I have one of the more "unique" speeds. This was with my college connection.

AOL 2mb broadband for (I think) about £20 a month. Eh, It works for me. |

http://www.speedtest.net/result/156090812.png I think this will do during peak hours. |

Decided to do it again after talking a bit in chat. According to our within-network tester I get around 9Mbps download and 7Mbps upload, but that's only dealing on our network. |
I wonder how that test would fair with someone running a T4.
|
Probably not much different because the wiring within most of my floor in my building is only 10Mbps (as well as most academic buildings other than CS and ECE).

I have a feeling that some of them, below is an example, that if you reran the test it wouldn't come out nearly so high. http://www.speedtest.net/result/136766969.png |

http://www.speedtest.net/result/157560195.png Keep in mind that my ISP advertises 20mbps downstream and 10mbps upstream. So I guess I'm not even getting the full result of what they're promising us. |
AT&T has a 20down 10up cable internet package? I thought they only offered DSL.

and that's because I'm temporarily using my sister's connection. last time I ran a speed test with my connection, I ran up to 15mbs download and around 7mbs upload. yay for bell canada! at least they have something that does not suck. |
So, I just moved last week. And I used to be wired into my router, now I'm on a wireless G card.
This is to the testing server in my city: http://www.speedtest.net/result/161225364.png This is to one 150 miles away: http://www.speedtest.net/result/161225844.png This is to the one that is 500 miles away: http://www.speedtest.net/result/161226445.png Oddly, even though these speeds are all 2000+ slower than at my last address, I've been downloading from places much, much faster. I had a torrent hit almost 1000 KB/s last week (I never saw over 600 at my other place) and a download I just tested at download.com hit 450 KB/s (which would translate to faster than the top two test speeds there). |
