Its possible, we already had someone make level 70...28 hours after he started on Turalyon. His guild also has a fair amount of people who are 67+.

dagget Jan 19, 2007 05:23 PM

I've seen a 65 on my server already. I could probably do, a couple of levels and get to about 63-64 in a day if I could get on and not be distracted or bored.

Zio Jan 19, 2007 09:54 PM

Someone got to level 70 from midnight release 28 hours later. All they did was instances all day and rotated guildmates. GG blizzard.

And that's against the law or something. You should have got your CE edition no matter what. No matter what you should have gotten it since it was a "PRE ORDER." please tell me you got your money back for some of it since I know collectors is worth more.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Jan 19, 2007 11:00 PM

Yeah, that's not illegal.

Presells are not guarantees by any stretch.

dagget Jan 20, 2007 02:31 AM

Well it's still bullshit. The EB I pre-ordered mine from said that they had 3 days to take pre-orders. However many pre-orders they got for it in those 3 days, was how many would get distributed to the stores. There have been cases where some employees of EB put back a certain number of copies and then sell them on Ebay afterwards. :\

Zio Jan 20, 2007 03:21 AM

CS, are you sure? I'm pretty sure it is.

Cause I don't know maybe it's state by state but I know you can damn well get your money back or ask for what copy you RESERVED for. That's kinda like pre-ordering Zelda for the gold cart on N64 and getting a silver cause they 'ran out.'

immp Jan 20, 2007 05:44 AM

Naw I didnt get crap back. Just a normal copy and 2 posters.

We have atleast 17 lvl 70s already flying around on the faster flying mounts. They're kinda scary actually. I, however am taking my time(lvl 64) enjoying the multitute of fun quests. They really are much more interesting this time around. Especially the new starting area quests.

I'm sure not entirely that complicated to do...

Most of the hardcore players on our server on Alliance side I've seen are around 64-66 on average. And they're playing an average of 8-10 hours a day since the expansion came out.

There's 2 lvl70 characters on Alliance on our server, both from the same guild. This is the only guild to have boasted any sort of progression in Naxx during the last few months, so I'm really not surprised most of their core raiders are already level 65+.

My honest opinion though, if anyone's over level 66 after only 5 days of the release it just comse to show how much of a social/family/career/school life they don't have. It's a game, so I intend to enjoy it as such. The people who talk about the game as if it's completely normal and acceptable to live in the game and somewhat expect others to do the same make me naucious.

I hit level 68 last night. Since the expansion came out, I've gone to dinner with friends every night, had sex with my girlfriend twice, and seen Pan's Labyrinth several times.

You'd be surprised what one can accomplish if they just put their mind to something. Social life or otherwise.

Shorty Jan 24, 2007 02:16 AM

Hon, this is coming from someone who gets nauseated to the stomach from playing in BWL for 6+ hours straight. XD

I'm sure the level grind is easy for some people to do. I'm just not one of those ppl.

The_Griffin Jan 24, 2007 03:06 AM

I haven't even seen Outland or done a single speck of levelling myself, simply because I'm waiting for my friend to level her druid high enough to go to Outland and her copy of the expansion to arrive.

And then we're going to take our sweet time with it, savoring every bit.

Yeah, I just lost a couple people in my guild because I wasn't playing "hardcore" enough. Well coupled with that and our server is completely unplayable at times at night. I like playing at my own pace while taking my time to soak things in.

Kaelin Jan 24, 2007 05:38 PM

Same here. I don't know how one of my other friends manages to level so fast all the time. Every time I try to level faster, I just find the game to get tedious and mind numbing. That's probably why I only had 1 60, and my next highest is my 53 druid. I just can't play like that, it feels too robotic like.

Shorty Jan 25, 2007 04:37 AM

Yeah, I think it might be some mental thing though... just staring at the screen for 5+ hours literally starts making me sick to the stomach. This only happens when I'm playing WoW. :(

Taco Jan 25, 2007 08:20 AM

One of my friends is about to hit 70. I haven't bothered to get my last 2% of 62. Another one of my friends has turned into a WoW zombie, and has even declined to go to dinner because he wanted to quest more :( It saddens me.

I've made a blood elf to play with a couple of other people, though, and they have a lot more starting quests than I ever remember doing on my gnome.

I know what my problem is. I got burnt out and there really isn't anything to reverse that. I just can't sit on end like that anymore. I like the game, I just can't really dedicate all that much time to it like I did when I first started playing. I think also being 60 for over a year and not progressing cause I wanted to treat this as a game and not a job contributed a lot of my "boredom" of it.

When I finally do put it up for good, it'll be nice to play console games again.

immp Jan 25, 2007 08:39 PM

Whats worse than already being level 70 is....seeing lvl 67 BE pallys and Draenei shamans running around. Sure some people have gone from 60 to 70 in the short time the game has been out but others have gone from 1 to 67 in that same time. Thats pretty groooossss.
Is anyone else having trouble getting groups to do instances? Everyone on my server seems to know that 2 manning quests is the fastest way to 70 and instances are slow. So no one will go to anything. My guild says they're going to hit 70 than do all the instances. I was thinking it might kill a lot of the fun to run them at a higher level like that.

dagget Jan 26, 2007 04:47 AM

The heroic modes will be fine for the level 70 runs, however I think the new instances are quite fun to run. They provide a good challenge. I think it's kind of crazy for people to rush to 70 and run the instances afterwards, though.

Let's hope I can keep interested up until Karazhan. I'm finding it less and less likely, however. :\

Zio Jan 26, 2007 07:56 PM

You think that is odd? There are level 70 shammies/pallies and they did it in about hmm till yesterday on my server since midnight launch. Isn't that sick?

They most likely had more than 1 person playing that account =)

i didnt get BC yet cause of school, not enough time commitment.

Zio Feb 16, 2007 03:20 AM

I want to kill Illidan though. D:

The_Griffin Feb 16, 2007 04:11 AM

You're gonna be pissed when you fight him then.

Blizz reps have said that they won't let Illidan be killed off by 25 schmoes named "Legomyeggolas" the Blood Elf Hunter with his trusty pet "PrettyPwny" (recently changed from the name "CumLord") united under the banner of "Less QQ More PewPew."

dagget Feb 16, 2007 09:21 AM

Eh, then they shouldn't have made the instance cap 25. Besides, I'm interested in the numbers of the amount of people able to do Karazhan and the other 25 mans.

Of course if they announce that Black Citadel is anything other than 25 player max, I'm quitting. I didn't finally get a small guild built up with the hopes of Karazhan soon, to have to watch it crumble because the few hardcore elite assholes cried about 25 player limit "not fair to them" and watch people leave for bigger guilds again.

Zio Feb 16, 2007 02:57 PM

They better make it 25 or less or I'm going to be pissed. I aint farming him for phat lookts for weeks on end just to have my guild break up cause of loot whores.
