Just wanted to say that the Nintendo Online Store is accepting orders for the Wii component cables again, so for those of you who want to get one now (like me :/) and don't wanna wait for them in-store still, go get now! :p

The_Griffin Nov 30, 2006 08:31 PM

Actually, when I went to get my Wii replaced today (sup living within 10 miles of NOA's headquarters), I placed in an order for my component cables too. ='D

Oh, and Twilight Princess is even more godly after being away from it for a week. :D

The Magic Box: Certain classic games may not make it to Virtual Console due to licensing issues, such as GoldenEye...

So, what's the fricking point of having Virtual Console? The best N64 game is not gonna be there? Thank God i still have the original game but I was kinda hoping to see the control improvements :( .

To Hell with Perfect Dark, I want my Goldeneye :( .

DjMeas Nov 30, 2006 10:14 PM

Let's not give up hope yet!~

Nintendo did say that when they feel that in any month they don't have a
major release title, they will release a really good VC game for download.

As for golden eye, yea i want it too~ We'll just have to wait and see ^_^

The review for Wii Play from IGN Australia is in:
http://wii.ign.com/articles/748/748607p1.html

Sounds like a serious shitload of fun, especially in multiplayer :D Even better, we're getting it at launch here in Europe, though I prolly won't buy it yet.

Got my Wii on Wednesday from Nintendo World NYC. Been playing with my suitemate who actually went to NYC with me at 4am to stand in line to get one. We were maybe #70 in line by the time we got there. Still... it ensured us a Wii since they get about 100 units in each day.

I think it's unfortunate that people are having trouble getting extra wiimotes and the like. Maybe Nintendo World is whording them all because they had so DAMN many. I've only played Wii Sports and Excite Truck so far, but I'm damn impressed by the system.

I was honestly hoping that the news and weather channels would be functional due to the new update and all, but come to find out it was for the parental controls, lame.

I am starting to invest in more Gamecube stuffs than Wii until some A++ titiles come out. I diddnt know that there were Resident Evil and Sonic boxsets for cheap cheap cheap.

I plan on doing the same, seeing how I never owned a Gamecube and missed out on a lot of great games. Killer 7, Resident Evil 4 and the Metroid Primes are at the top of my list ;)

order has been shipped.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwright.

Malmer Dec 2, 2006 06:29 AM

Hahaaaa, components are available in stores here from day one =D

Just went and paid in full:
Wii
Component Cable
Nunchuck unit
Wii Play (with wiimote)
Red Steel

Under a week left! Also, the store is open thursday at midnight.
I'm just starting to feel this is real, in an unreal kind of way.
Man, I've been anticipating this for good two years now, and now it's so close. Soooo clooooose!

I KNOW YEH?! Over in good ol' Aussie-ralia it's out in (counts fingers) 3 days! It felt like yesterday when "Iwata's Revolution (C)" sent shivers down my spine.

HOLY SHIT 3 DAYS?

yeh I know you American pplz have it already HUSH.

garthvadr3 Dec 2, 2006 10:59 AM

I didn't... just wondering if it looked any good.

I refuse to go to Circuit City and pay $55 for the cables I can get for almost half the price online.

Only there's no Nintendo of Europe online shop to conveniently buy it through here.
I could ofcause import it if I had some caraazy desire for waiting another month to play.

This will be the only time I buy games in Denmark though.
Just like I don't own a single native bought Cube or DS game anymore.

This is why:
$355: Wii
$65: Component Cable
$50: Nunchuck unit
$100: Wii Play
$80: Red Steel

Kilroy Dec 2, 2006 01:33 PM

You fail for buying Red Steel, though;)

Seriously, I really should follow in your steps. The whole package ends up being a tad expensive. Luckily I've saved up nearly $622 so I should have enough. Especially if I also trade in some games.

Zelda Twilight Princess = MIA?

Malmer Dec 2, 2006 03:29 PM

Don't worry, I won't miss out on Twilight Princess ;)
But I don't feel it's the best showcase for the wiimote, so I'll wait and import it in the new year instead.

Right now I just need some silly games to screw around with.
I so wished that Excite Trucks had made it for the launch here, and Elebits too for that matter.

It does better than you'd think, although I do agree with you about getting the "fun and simple" games. I just about threw a fit when I found out Wii Play wasn't coming stateside. I think they are holding it off 'til the new year so they have some games to release in winter/spring :D.

YMO Dec 2, 2006 04:32 PM

I've been reserved for 8 December 2006 on netherlands I have next week and I will buy the NGC Game named Tales of Symphonia NGC Accessoires Pack..

Virtual Console games for countries in PAL regions are now available, though the Wii itself will not be launched until next week. Interestingly, games are being released by country rather than region.

The TurboGrafx system never made it to Australia and New Zealand, and those countries will again not receive TurboGrafx games. Their initial Virtual Console selection is limited to three NES choices, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros., and Wario's Woods.

The European countries of Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain get those three NES games as well as three TurboGrafx games, Bomberman '93, Bonk's Adventure, and Super Star Soldier.

Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Norway, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, and Switzerland are a little luckier with an additional three games available. They can also purchase The Legend of Zelda for NES, and Dungeon Explorer and Victory Run for TurboGrafx.

More games and countries may be added before the Australian and European launches, which occur on December 7th and 8th, respectively.
Absolutely fucking pathetic. :(

FatsDomino Dec 3, 2006 07:31 AM

Jesus Christ, it's not like these games won't run on Austrailian Wiis or are in Japanese. Just put them on the virtual console already.

Elixir Dec 3, 2006 07:59 AM

If they're released by country, this means america won't see Terranigma.

I can't think of any other PAL specific SNES games at the moment.

Good idea! Buy a Wii and play GC games on it.
