So, basically, Ness was scheduled to be replaced for Melee, but development was either too far ahead or they were too far behind schedule to change it. One could argue that there was *another* Mother 3 character planned (Flint, Claus, etc.) but Lucas is the most common interpretation.

Ness can be as Luigi , partial clone. We need the bat sound effect back, because I enjoy annoying people with it.

Mother 3 was out in 2003, so let's think as if Lucas never existed before, so Ness was the iconic character of Mother.

Metroid's Norfair posted. The lava will rise, along with a lava wave, that comes with only one safe area, a capsule with timed hatches. It also flows on the sides, burning players.

The wave idea sounds a bit neat but its a recurring theme. Besides a metroid stage won't be a metroid stage without burning lava.

That hiding capsule part actually looks like it'll be pretty fun when you're playing with a bunch of friends. =\

Banned from tournaments.

The entire fucking game will be banned from tournaments.

Predicting tournaments will be Mario-on-Mario Battlefield-only affairs by 2009.

I think I stated this earlier in the topic, but I find the tournaments to be a joke. -_-

A lot of people do, that's why there's the whole running joke about things being "banned from tournaments".

Hopefully these two haven't been posted already, but these two videos have what seem like color swaps for Bowser (Shiny gold for shell and the spiked things on his arms. It doesn't apply for Giga Bowser, though he gets a blue shell instead of green.

This next one looks like a darker Metaknight color. Some folks say Dark Metaknight, but all I can see that he seems to have some dark aura thing around him and red eyes (I'd rather we get a better picture or alternate color update).

The new Fox illusion sound is kind of irritating.

Edit: Here's another video with some costumes. Peach's Daisy one is back, and it looks like Diddy has one too but they zoomed out and it ended. Fox was wearing something strange too, but it was just like the other one in that they pulled back and it went to another clip.
