Either when you pop it in and hold it, or press it after, it really doesn't matter.

(Snake voice) Damn!
I was seriously hoping that you were just running into the same wall that I was before. If I find anything else on the matter I'll be sure to post it. Till then, best of luck man. |
I don't know if you all knew this, but games don't play full screen via TV output On the PSP slim. My LCD monitor has a zoom feature, so I'll be able to force full screen viewing, but I wonder how crappy that'll be. I'm still getting a new one, but this is a slight kick in the ass. Movies play normally however.
|
The PSP on a TV is mediocre at best. Then when you zoom it. *chills* It's baaaad...
Except for the UMD movies, they're about DVD quality on a TV. |

Yes. GBA emulation is very good on the PSP.
|
Spoiler:
Anyways, I wonder if anything will surface from GDC, or would that be the wrong place for an announcement...? |
PSP2. Better fucking not be. So we've either got something the size of a regular phone, so the buttons are too small, the screen too tiny, and the d-pad completely useless. Or you've got a phone the size of a standard PSP, which is huge and unwieldy to talk on.
A quadruple plus. Would laugh my ass off again. If this is something different, like a phone with advanced gaming features, then it's a different story, but either way, terrible, TERRIBLE mock-up. |
Maybe a new Sony phone with superior gaming features at best. However it's definately not the PSP2.
|
Dear confused gaming industry, stop making everything glossy, people actually play these machines you sex up for PR shots, it only acts as a smudged portable mirror for my burning rage.

PSP Phone from Sony Ericsson » Unwired View
Not the PSP2, though supposedly compatible with PSP games. Here's my favourite part of it: Quote:
So it's phone sized and pathetic. Great call. |

You'd think Sony would be content for a while with Skype on PSP anyway. |
Does anyone know of any games that are to be out soon that I should be looking forward too? I feel like I need some new games for the PSP, but I just don't know what's to come out in the near future. Any "heavyweight" games that I've missed?
Anyways, about the PSP phone thingie, I think they've got one in the makings because of the Japanese market. The Japanese simply seem to love being able to play all these mobile games, so they've probably only expected the japanese market to be up for this gadget. |

IGN just gave it a 9.4. Comes out March 4th (two weeks from today). o yeah, and i guess: Patapon, WipEout, Wild Arms XF, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. Among ones I'm interested in, anyways. |
Woah, awesome, I didn't know a God of War game was coming for the PSP. Real awesome :D Patapon I've already played and I really just haven't played any of the Wild Arms games before so I don't know if I really should play that game first (what is it anyways, is it a remake or the newest game in the series or what is it). Haha, and I must have forgotten about FF:CC temporarily, of course I know about that one :) WipEout (is that what the new games called?) I don't know about, I might give it a try.
Anyone who knows of any more games to be out soon or at least in a few months? I have no idea of what games are coming for the PSP. |
I'm trying to install the patch but I get this:
pspbtjnf.bin not found (something along those lines) Anyone have any ideas? Also, for remotejoy, does it not work with Vista? I think I've been doing everything but I still see only a blank screen. |
Patch for what, exactly?
|
In other news, Sony's offering a new PSP bundle -- God of War: Chains of Olympus with sexy red PSP and Kratos' visage plastered on the back. If it weren't for that, I'd definitely get it, but I don't like having faces on my PSP so I'll stick with my silver PSP.
Also comes bundled with Superbad. Here's the IGN article. |

A phatty.

Hey, Ness and other people in this thread.
Thoughts on splitting it into an actual discussion thread and a "halp how do I installed XYZ" thread. |
Well Skills, I already have a tutorial, but if that could either be brought up from the computer area to here, or if you want to split it, that'd be cool I guess.
Seph unfortunetly, I haven't had a chance to mess with the newest version of IRShell. |
Anyone have any experience using the Datel Tool battery? Is it worth it to buy one of these instead of trying to find a Pandora compatible battery and alter it manually?
Also, I don't want to get screwed over with these fake batteries. Anybody know of a list of approved working batteries or a place that sells working batteries for relatively cheap? |
You can just buy and official battery and use the original PSP Slim battery to make a pandora. I just did it today and it worked perfectly.
