My local Circuit City claimed to have them in this weekend. From what I've seen and heard, CC is the best bet as of now to find them. Alternatively, you can try to get your hands on a composite female adapter for the Wii and some old Gamecube composite cables and bust out the electrical engineering skills! :D

Hahaha! They updated it. I complained to Nintendo about this and they said its for the 3rd shipment. So no more h8 for Nintendo.

So the US cables are the same? I thought that because of the ntsc/pal differences, the cables might be unique too?
Can anyone clear this up for me, maybe throw in a punch and laugh at me while at it.

God damn it, I ordered my cables on Wednesday morning and had them get shipped to my school. Now when they ship I won't even BE at school until late January!! GRR!

Has anybody heard of any stores that will have a Wii for black friday?

I was in a Circuit City yesterday that had 5-6 Wiimotes. Unfortunately, I was there to pick up a Classic Controller I'd ordered for in-store pickup the previous night, only to discover that they apparently never had any to begin with.

Yeah they're all the same cables, the PAL wii just fires a different signal down them.

I've got to buy two Wiis real soon. One for myself and another as a Christmas gift. When do you guys think would be the best time to nab two? =/

I refuse to try going tomorrow. I dont want to die underneath the hordes of fat women rushing to pay for that cheap item they dont need while giving themselves heart attacks.

I just know it's only going to get harder to find the closer it gets to the 25th too..

It could but on the other hand Nintendo plans to have like 4Million on the market or some crazy number like that by the end of the year. So unless Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy show up out of the blue before then, I can't see it being that hard to find a Wii within the next two to three weeks.

We don't have any Nintendo of EU to buy from internationally, so we're pretty much stuck on the few lazy shops.

I GOT A WII!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Gamestop opened at 7am. I set my alarm for 6:30 and didn't get up until 6:50. Put on pants & shoes & coat, stopped to grab new Pearl Jam CD from my collection for driving music (good driving music can cut any commute time by 15%) got in car, drove. Line was formed outside Gamestop, I was like NOOOO!!

Parked, got in line. Was like 15 people ahead of me. I'd heard GS's were getting 20 Wii's each. Store opened about 3 minutes later. Stood in line. Someone joked, "Oh, they don't have any Wii's" then someone else said "No, they have a bunch lol." Well, some of the people in line were families, so groups of 2-4 each. So actually I was about 6th in line perhaps. The guy got a Wii from under the counter for the first customer, which seems to prove that GS's and probably other stores had Wii's but refused to sell them until the morning of BF (rumor widely circulated around the net and confirmed by Best Buy employees at least). Then, there were two boxes of Wii's. I got the 2nd-to-last one. There looked to be 3-4 in a box; I think the store had about 8 Wii's total and I got one, for camping for 3 minutes. Not bad!

I also picked up Excite Truck with it, because "It's got BIG DAMN TRUCKS!" There are probably no Zelda's left in town nor will there be for some time, which is fine by me since I won't run out of RPG's I haven't played yet (but own) for quite some time. By now, the city has been swept clean of Wii's until the next shipment, that is for sure.

So, that's what I got for my troubles of camping... for 3 minutes. :p

Wow, two weeks till W-day? Seems like forever. I still don't know what games to buy, however. Which I find enormous irritating. I just knew that Red Steel was going to be so-so. Rayman... Well, I'd like a 'proper' game, not all this party-stuff. Which I guess also eliminates Wario.

Hastings didn't have any Wii accessories at all. I didn't check at the Gamestop where I purchased my system, because I was too busy just trying to get the system itself before they sold out. When I went to the other Gamestop in the mall, they had 3 Wiimotes left, and 2 classic controllers. There were no nunchucks left. If it weren't so crazy with shoppers around here I'd hit Walmart just to see how things are going.
