Now that I have a working modem again, I've been doing a lot of trading. IVs are wearing away at my sanity, so I figured I'd just clone the good stuff I have and trade for EV-trained dudes with good IVs.

Cloned my shiny Giratina once and traded it to a cloner for a shiny Rayquaza and two more clones. Then I took one of those clones and traded it for a shiny, EV-trained Porygon-Z and Metagross.

Then I cloned my nice shiny Furret (who's been my lead for a long time) and traded it for a shiny Salamence right now. Dude started guilt-tripping me for not cloning it for him. I said I'm not good at it and there's a chance I'd lose it in the attempt, so I'd rather not. I offered to tack on an item that he wanted, and he chose a Fire Stone. But, after he went through with it, he still seemed unhappy. At that point I even offered to trade back if he wasn't okay with it. But he declined and said he was just sad that he couldn't get an extra.

Well shit dude, this is your choice to trade. Stop making me feel bad if you're going to go through with it.

I want an IV-heavy female Steelix.

I wish I knew how this works because I don't know where to start.

First, you catch a bunch of Steelix on Iron Island. They're already high enough in level to give you a ballpark estimate as to where their IVs are.

If those IVs are still too low or you don't find it in the nature you want, you breed it and level the Onix to a decent level (20 or higher) and look at the IVs again. If they're good, there you go. Either continue leveling or reset and go back to before you started leveling and start doing the proper EV training.

Anyone know anything about this? Looks like the lab from G/S but with the latest games' graphics. It might just be a fake, but there's a good change that Gold and Silver will be remade, just like Red and Blue were.

Everything I heard about a G/S remake was a rumor, but I'm thinking this one is fake also.

An elaborate fake, I might add.

But who knows, I'd want a remake of it. As long as you can travel to Hoenn along with Kanto, I'm sold on it.

If it's a fake, they really went out of their way to make this. Though all I've heard of remakes were rumors too, which is why I asked what's the deal with that image.

But why Hoenn? The remake would probably be like FireRed/LeafGreen, basically the same game with some updated things (and maybe something like the Sevii islands).

Silver was my favorite, out of them all.

The only thing that makes me skeptical is the artwork-- when they remade Red and Blue, they had Sugimori redraw the artwork for the game. Maybe they decided not to because Gold/Silver's doesn't look as outdated as Red/Blue's artwork did, but I dunno.

Also for anybody into competitive battling, but not into EV/IV grinding, try Shoddy Battle. That's what most people are using for competitive battling right now. You just pick out a team, and you can choose the EVs/IVs.
