Hmm, maybe a new thread for chapter 2, then I can archive chapter 1 for future generations.
|
Goddamnit. All right, fine. But I'll have to go in and change all the links for the wiki article. Meh, that'll only take like... ten minutes. I say we do it. But really we should get Pang to weigh in here.
|
And yeah, we used to get Doogie over here when I was a kid. About the only episode I remember was when he shagged one of his coleagues or soemthing and that silly, zoomed in on the typing thing when he was writing his diary.
Maybe you could do it in the style of Blossom? Additional Spam: Well, I could just close it and not move it, it's not like it'd be in any danger of falling off the front page in here. Or we could keep the same thread and just rename it to something suitable like the Forest of Fear or City of Certain Cervix Cmearing. |
Yeah, I think we'll start a new thread whenever you're all done with the city and the next adventure proper starts (whatever that may turn out to be).

Okay, if it's Blossom, Bob has to be Six and Brigid is Joey. WHOA! Also, archive or leave it. Whichevas. |

Only with a wizard's hat... Additional Spam: Looking at the check boxes at the bottom of the character wiki pages, can you only do one item daily move per day in total or use each item's daily power once in any given day? DnD is harsh on letting you actually ever use your powers. :( Additional Spam: Also, do the Eagle Eye Goggles Bob's wearing add to his magic attack rolls or just his bow? |
The goggles only apply to ranged basic attacks, so yeah, only the bow (or a crossbow or sling or thrown table or whatever else you may happen to pick up).
And yeah, you only get one Item Daily Power per day. In related news, the official Character Builder software is in open beta. Ongoing Free Trial (scroll down to "Character Builder Demo") It only builds characters up to Level 3, but it's still a much easier way to put a PC together than digging through 3 books and a dozen issues of Dragon. Just wanted to put this out there for the handful of "I want to make a character but I am so confused PMs I've had. |
So DnD is essentially an exercise in guessing which fight will be the last big one for the day before you have a nap and get all your powers back? Are there some items with encounter and at wil powers too or is everything we find going to fall into the same pot of usage?
Obviously our individual cunning and resourcefulness is more important than the gear we're wearing but I think it's important to plan these things out properly... |

Whenever you hit a milestone and get an action point, you also get an additional use of daily item powers (and, just like the AP, they stack). Each of the individual powers is still daily but if you go long enough without resting you could conceivably manage to use them all. It is not quite as stingy as it may seem. |
Ah, I see, that's not so bad then. The only pen and paper rpgs I ever played to any extent prior to this were Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and Rifts which are both magic point efforts so I'm not really used to the whole limited uses by time concept.
Additional Spam: I think the internet's down at home at the moment although it might just be the router needs resetting so I might not be around much this weekend (For a change). Bob will just follow Gabe around being racist and unhelpful if the party moves off anywhere. Keep your eyes open for dressing up shops though, he needs a blue hat and some red and blue face paint, and possibly some new earrings. |
Requesting an updated character sheet, 'cause I have to admit I haven't kept up with it at all this time. v:)v
|
I quit updating the pdfs once I made the wiki. Did you forget about the wiki, Brady?
Never forget. |
You know, the gff wiki has links to your character's wiki.
THE MORE YOU KNOW |
I just bookmarked the character wiki like a normal person.
|
ok, put me down officially for the backup roster - i'll be an eladrin rogue
|
(hey Pang. The wikis haven't been updated to our level 3 stats, so is the gold on there accurate with the loot we took from that final battle?)
|
I did update them. I just forgot to actually increase the level notice at the top (again).
So, yes. |
(thanks)

mmmmm triple-headed flail
oh my my my~ |
Okay, couple of fair warnings here:
A: The only class that's naturally proficient with Plate Armor is the Paladin. You can wear it without proficiency, but it makes you clumsy as fuck. B: Halflings are Small, so they can't use two-handed weapons. Naturally, it is somewhat difficult to use a scythe one-handed. You could pick up a spear or a mace, though, which both have better damage output than the sickle. C: The sale / trade-in value of all your items is right there in the inventory portion of your wiki pages on the far right. Take some time to reconsider your purchase decisions while I put together the price lists for the apothecary / pawnshop / magic shop. :psyduck: |
Goddamnit. I can't afford my awesome platemail. Now I am sad panda. INTIMIDATE INTO PURCHASE.
>8( GRR FACE AT SHOP KEEP. |
You could always just buy a generic-type platemail. It's still more AC than the magic chainmail you've got.
then you could conceivably give your used chainmail to Brigid, as an act of charitable pity |
Well I was gonna. Now. Loses my poor, poor awesome daily power.
Ah screw it. Brigid can have the dwarf chain mail. ALTERING THREAD. |
Thanks for the fancy chain mail <3
How is a spear one handed? Bizarre. |
Go watch Troy.
