Yeah, IGN slipped up in a podcast about a month ago and said that the target date was March '08. So it's nice when dates match up.

Kimchi Nov 18, 2007 06:02 PM

Anyone know where I should put my CW cheats and its DB?

LS Nov 18, 2007 08:23 PM

Root of your memory card, and after that go into recovery mode and enable the plugins.

^-^ Nov 19, 2007 12:15 PM

root>>seplugins>>something else, I'll edit this post with the correct dir string once I get home.

the files do not sit on the root of the memory card.

Whoops, forgot to do it yesterday! Way too busy. I'll do it in a couple of hours, honest!

ms0:\seplugins\CWCheat\cheat.db and cheatpops.db go here.

PLAYSTATION STORE

It's about time.

EDIT:

Quick note: It looks like you'll need to be on a Windows machine to get demos from your PC to your PSP :/.

iR Shell 3.8: now with PSOne 2-Player Adhoc support - PlayStation Portable News - PSP Updates

The new IRshell supports PSOne 2-Player Adhoc! :tpg:

Sad thing is, I can't think of any multiplayer PS1 games that Sony hasn't rehashed remade for the PSP.

Slayer X Nov 22, 2007 07:38 PM

Tekken 3
Twisted Metal 3 (my personal fav of the series)
Fighting Force
Street Fighters & KoFs

Just to name a few. But I can't see this feature being used too often... as cool as it is.

Kimchi Nov 23, 2007 05:08 PM

Is it me or GTA Vice City lags?

I downloaded Liberty City and it didn't lag a bit. It was .ISO

I recently downloaded Vice City, it was lagging like !@#$. Maybe because it was .CSO?

Sepharite Nov 23, 2007 05:42 PM

Yup. The compressed ISO lags like a bitch. This is only coming from personal experience though, and it might have been my compressor. But you're better off with the ISO.

Kimchi Nov 23, 2007 05:53 PM

one other thing, how do I know if it is ISO or CSo I am torrenting?

Sepharite Nov 23, 2007 06:07 PM

When you're torrenting, it should give you the type of file you're downloading. If not, you can research the file size (of the ISO/CSO) and compare. Besides, I think GTA is the only game that has trouble with compression since all my other games are all CSO.

Kimchi Nov 23, 2007 06:58 PM

Ah.. I see why they compressed it. Its as big as DJ Max Portable 2. Whooping 1.6 gb!

Just curious... do you guys have more than 1 MS for games? [I might have to get another 4gb Xd]

Dyesan Nov 23, 2007 07:23 PM

Where do you folks find your psp-specific torrents?

Kimchi Nov 24, 2007 06:05 PM

isohunt
minova
thepiratebay
scrapetorrent

if the results I want doesn't show up I just google it.

^-^ Nov 25, 2007 07:25 PM

I grab my games from pspiso.com.

Kimchi Nov 26, 2007 03:18 PM

I never used that site. It never worked for me.

Uh… anyone know when Ceramic PSP Lite is coming to North America?

I don’t want Vader’s face back of my battery cover. Sony should release the damn core, I hate having black, I already refunded it ;) (haha even with scratches all over the screens, I got the full value. <3 EB Games during this kind of situation)

^-^ Nov 26, 2007 08:15 PM

Never worked for you, what are you talking about? It's down at the moment, yes, but all you have to do is login and go to the PSP games section, then use the search tool.

It's about the most safe way you're going to get psp iso's.

randumb Nov 26, 2007 10:25 PM

blackcats, but i doubt you have an account if you're asking

Alright. I tried to do this slimpsp hack bs. I'm all up to the part where it says something about a msipl.bin. I already got the "KD" folder with the stuff but the that bin file hadn't shown up. why?

EDIT: Nevermind.

=O =O =O What color PSP do you have?

chato Nov 28, 2007 08:41 PM

If you're talking about the slimpsp. it's black with 3.60. And I have the original PSP as well. Now where I'm stuck at is the part where it wants me to go to a command prompt and rename something but this bullshit confuses me :

Step 10. Open a Dos prompt (cmd.exe) and enter these commands, replace "C:Pandora's Batterymsinst" with the folder where your "msinst.exe" and "msipl.bin" are. Also replace X with the drive of your stick.

The annoying part of this is that I think my battery is now Pandora . Which means I can't go back to my old psp. *has the backups*. And I'm only able to access the memory stick through my slim. And that step is the only thing left to create that magic stick crap. Help please :V

Sepharite Nov 28, 2007 09:09 PM

Your PSP wouldn't be a Pandora unless you have a Magic Memory Stick first, if I'm not mistaken. So I don't you have anything to worry...

Here's a well organized tutorial ON VIDEO! =D to help you...

chato Nov 28, 2007 09:32 PM

Thanks for that but it's too late anyway. I had pressed X before triangle by accident. Which means I'll have to get a new battery from a gamestore ( a block away from home).

Sepharite Nov 28, 2007 09:49 PM

Could it be possible to get a backup of the eeprom.bin (the file you get when you hit triangle), cause I think it's all universal.

Just found something:

You can also restore a battery without having made a backup, by pressing SQUARE at step 6. This will generate a fake serial for your battery (0x12345678) which allows it to work normally, but there could be side-effects.
