The last game I picked up was halo 3 when it came out. Its my only Xbox 360 game and i might pick up Fallout 3 and Street Fighter 4 soon.

One would hardly call that a recent game purchase.

I recently got Ar Tonelico 2 a couple days before street date, which was nice. I also finally bought Atelier Iris 3, completing my GUST collection because I am a faggot.

I also re-bought Katamari Damacy and We <3 Katamari since I can't find my old copies anywhere. Only $30 for the two, which wasn't bad.

Last game I bought and with which I'm really happy about purchasing is Valkyria Chronicles. I think this game went under the radar for a lot of people, but it's a really refreshing and innovative strategy game. I was getting a bit tired of the countless FPS/war games coming out for these next gen systems and I'm glad this game came out when it did.

Just Star Ocean: Second Evolution.

Same old shit in a new coat of paint. This game will stay in my PSP for a long time (and will cut it short upon obtaining Resistance: Retribution then back again).

Recently went to the Mall with a $25 gift card to HMV expecting to buy some CDs. Unfortunately i seem to have all the CDs i really want that are out right now, and instead wound up buying Odin Sphere. Then i went to EB, and found they had one more copy of Persona 3 FES. It was 30 dollars after taxes so i figured i had to. I was in a spending mood that day. Haven't started either, but i've nothing but good stuff about both (i know lots of people don't like the Persona games, but even the haters' description of them makes me want it more.)

I'm curious if these actually help the PS2 not look like roasted butts on an HDTV because if so I might have to pick one up.

Slightly less like roasted butts, I guess. Maybe a singular roasted butt.

It's not like the low native res issues no longer exist.

I have 'em, and it really depends on your HDTV. Mine handles it marginaly better, but in general seems to hate it whenever anything isn't at the right aspect ratio. The component cables help marginally but they're no replacement for having a system designed for HD in the first place.

Could be my TV is just an asshole, though.

You just have to sit so far from your tv that you can't tell that even with component cables, the PS2 looks terrible.

I've been coming across some good deals at the flea market. I think I've done enough game spending over the holidays. I don't think I'll have much of an opportunity to get anything else while I'm working up here. I have a friend that I've been helping finish off his NES and SNES collection. So I've been buying countless games for him worth around 5 to 10 dollars a game. Just so that if he sees anything at the flea market I'm interested in. He'll buy it for me to reimburse for all the games I buy for him since the flea amrket tends to have a lot of great older games that I usually miss out on while I'm working in Alberta.

On my LCD TV, not so much. So slightly less like roasted butts. If it's a CRTV with HD Components, then you might see a difference. My friend uses his for his WEGA. Looks great on that.

I was gifted recently with Star Ocean: Second Evolution which was awesome. However, today I went up to the mall and got a couple things:

Super Mario Sunshine (GC) - Mostly because it was on sale for 10 bucks.

Dead Rising (360) - L4D has salivated my desire to slay zombies, so this was aquired as well.

12 13 Month LIVE Card (360) - Only got this because it was on sale for $30 at Best Buy ($32~ after Tax).

I also might get one or two games on Live Arcade / Wii Virtual console, but nothing has been decided yet.

I doubt I'll play them much right now but I really wanted to play them and I figure that's not a bad price at all for them, especially being unopened.

Picked up my copies of Left 4 Dead and Shaun White Snowboarding, both on really good priced deals on Play.com, havent touched L4D yet, too hooked on Shaun White, but meanwhile, I ordered a GBA M3 Simply cart for the Slot 2 about 2 weeks ago, still waiting on it to land on my doormat, when I get that my DS will be a fully functioning DS/GBA emulation station along with my M3 Simply Lite.

Did you already own BG1 and Tales of the Swordcoast or was there some other reason you didn't get the collection with all four?

I bought Street Fighter IV for the Xbox360 this weekend. I can see, for me this is already the best game of 2009. I love it.

I found Marvel vs Capcom 2 for 12.99 a while ago, although it was a little beat up, and was missing the booklet. Yesterday I traded it to a guy I know for FF7, in superb condition with the black label! MvC2 is worth a little more than FF7, but I've really felt incomplete without 7 in my collection.

When I was home a couple of days ago, went to the flea market again to try to nail some stuff down.

I have to admit I ended up getting a pretty good haul this time around at the flea market:

This game was done by Capcom and if you have not played it. I would definitely recommend it. He also got Wanderers from Ys III (Fucker).

I also found my favorite game for the Atari 2600. That game was Seaquest.

Picked up a copy of Planescape: Torment a few days ago. Felt silly when I told folks how great the game was, but haven't owned a copy in ages. Even forgot how much I enjoyed the writing in it. Now I've pretty much consigned myself to losing a couple days.

Unfortunately, came with some lame lump-in package called Soulbringer, that pretty much fails everywhere Torment succeeds. Ah well, considering the whole thing wasn't too spendy, and it wasn't used, guess I've got a new coaster.
