WTF? Jeez, I bail on WWE for a few months and suddenly Cena eats the Smackdown roster alive.

Winter Storm May 23, 2007 08:42 AM

Looks like I have forgotten alot of WWE history..

OO that's right. It was at the King of the Ring. You know, that was the best fued in my opinion. Back and forth those two had a war of words and Bret swore up and down that he would not fight Owen. Now in a realistic point of view, Bret held back in that match.

Everybody has tapped to the STFU with Chris Masters being the first.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 23, 2007 03:15 PM

Anyone ever not submit or escape the masterlock? Anyhow, a submission to his brother and a submission in WCW (even if it was to gay ass Luger) isn't bad at all.

To give you guys an idea of Cene's effect in my country: Every once in a while on various radio stations here his theme song is played. I mean, I know he performed in it and all but that doesn't really happen in the States... Right?

SuperSonic May 23, 2007 04:15 PM

As far as the Masterlock goes, Bobby Lashley has managed to be the only man to break it. Many have escaped it, but have had to use the ropes as assistance to that.

mortis May 23, 2007 11:26 PM

Well all, in a bit of sader news, it sounds like Jeff Jarrett's wife passed away. Sources aren't confirmed at the moment but there are several sources saying this has happened (for those who don't know, Jarrett's wife has been battling cancer for some time, and her health has been getting worse and worse from it).

Mr.Ramen May 24, 2007 11:18 PM

Steiner proved again why he's one of the best on the mic on tonight's Impact. This one wasn't just for humor, but how he completely ripped apart the Dudleys and their legacy.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 25, 2007 09:00 AM

Shit. Anyway I can get that on YouTube? And what exactly has changed with Steiner on the mic because, from the last I remember of him in WCW, he was a stumbling stuttering fool. Great wrestler though.

It's just badass. The only problem is Tenay's commentary while Steiner is talking.

Malahk Angel May 25, 2007 03:58 PM

Heh, Tenay needed to keep his mouth shut, but just be glad it wasn't West... that dude is the main reason I don't like watching TNA. His voice sounds like a dying opossum being throttled by an alternating centripetal wheel.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 25, 2007 04:02 PM

West? Who is that? Anyway, one reason I never watched the Sunday (or was it Saturday?) and sometimes Thunder was because of Lee Marshal. I couldn't stand that bastard and his road reports.

Saw half the Steiner video and it was hilarious. Classic. Gonna watch the rest later because I have company.

Slash May 25, 2007 05:06 PM

Don West...the annoying guy that sits next to the other annoying guy.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 25, 2007 06:35 PM

Shit. Not him. That was the guy that ran the Beanie Babies show. He'd just scream at people to hurry up and buy these fucking things and he'd sound so genuinely excited it was disgusting.

I have two Tenay autographed photographs. Not sure how to destroy them.

LMAO!! Owned. It's certainly true... before they broke up they beat a lot of people.

The best announcer in my opinion is.. Tony..Schavani(?). He had a level of enthusiasm that made every match seem so exciting. I think he works for a radio station now. And while he was involved in a couple of fueds(not caused by him) he was well respected. JR just ain't on the same plane as that guy. When Bobby Henan got fired(or really just left for treatment) and Stevie Ray took over, that was the next gen announcing team lol.

When Teney came.. ~_~.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 25, 2007 06:41 PM

Haha, I wish he'd continued going down that list. That was a pretty insulting thing for the Dudleys to've agreed to.

Winter Storm May 29, 2007 07:58 AM

^That shit with the council not trusting him didn't help matters at all.(I feel like ranting about that movie now)

Anyway, I have to ask this for those who get thier sources from places I can't be bothered with..

Are these wrestlers REALLY getting injured, or just "time off to handle personal business" ? Cause it's getting really wierd having all these wrestlers get hurt.

And a draft is coming... so much for revival of RAW's tag team division...

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 29, 2007 08:10 AM

Yeah, in all honesty, I really hate the way Lucas handled the Council. For example, Episode I, after Qui Gon goes to get Anakin to show to the council (and even before that) Mace seems pretty irritated, close to being pissed off, about the whole ordeal. That the Jedi way?

Another fucking draft? Haha, McMahon is turning into Lucas afterall. =O!

mortis May 29, 2007 08:18 AM

Just unify the world, tag, woman, and cruiserweight titles. Have them float around the three brands, making those titles actually worth something. Then, bring back the TV title to WWECW as a secondary title that does not move. This way, those who hold the aforementioned four straps really are the 'top' guys (or girls) becaues they have to handle challenges from all three brands (kinda like what happened in the early days of the brand extension). The secondary titles can be used to help build guys up to the world title.

SuperSonic May 29, 2007 10:35 AM

While you're at it, bring back the hardcore title so we can have some really entertaining matches. At least the Hardys are making an attempt to have a ladder match against TWGTT.

Another draft, it's about frigging time. Raw needs some talent right freakin now.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 29, 2007 02:48 PM

Yeah, that's the one good thing, a rebalancing of things. I guess going back to the old formula wouldn't work?

Winter Storm May 29, 2007 03:06 PM

The old formula is the only way. The old formula introduced a wide range of fueds. With the current setup you always end up with the same fued between the same two people every other week. It's restrictive.

That's just it. The draft takes away talent from one place and gives it to another, leaving that show with lame entertainment and lack of pushes.

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 29, 2007 03:08 PM

Well, in theory anyway, they both take and give from eachother right? Hopefully McMahon will think this shit through and make some good changes.

Kostaki May 29, 2007 03:33 PM

McMahon apparently calls himself the "Doctor of Hardcore" now and has changed his intro video for the first time ever since getting No Chance in Hell as a theme song to have "ECW World Champion" pasted all over the video.

He's definitely thinking really, really hard about things.

Winter Storm May 30, 2007 07:13 AM

MPV is a trip.
===============
Smackdown's Montel Vontavious Porter recently won the United States Championship, and with the draft just two weeks away, the brazen superstar has one thing on his mine - himself. "I am the US champion. It doesn't matter to me if I go to RAW or ECW, I will still be the highest paid athlete on the roster, and I will still put butts in the seats. I am half man, half amazing. People want to see Montel Vontavious Porter." MVP continued, "I will naturally be the first draftee to RAW or ECW if I am to leave Smackdown, but regardless I am happy here, " he added. "I am the the only thing that matters to me."

Such a Lust for Revenge! May 30, 2007 08:30 AM

Haha, MPV is awesome based on that. I'll have to keep an eye out for him.

And Kostaki, as usual, McMahon just wants to completely destroy all credibility for something he's defeated. Even if it was years ago.

mortis May 30, 2007 09:59 AM

Well, I mean, Vince did make Booker T champ....after having Booker become King Booker and basically changing his entire gimmick so it was one Vince thought of.

And then there was Rey Mysterio...who lost every match as champion.

Okay, so nevermind on Vince...
