I just hit 60 last night on my main, so my 60 count has gone from 0 to 1 :D

I also joined a PUG for AQ20 which ended up failling miserably, but I was invited to join the guild that was putting it on. Now we almost have enough people to where we won't need to go on LFG to fill empty slots.

It's a new guild, too, so it's not like they already have anything on farm status.

Good luck with that guild :). Building an endgame raiding guild can be one of the hardest things in the game. Especially if it's a guild that wants to more casually raid in endgame. One of the best feelings in the game is downing a boss for the first time.

The Blood Furnace portion of Hellfire Citadel is the most boring crap ever. The bosses were all dead before I realised we were fighting them.

So what do you think of people who cap honor for their servers and threaten people who are not part of the circle for getting more honor than them?

What had happened was, the person got 660k+ honor for last week, keep in mind it was also Double AV weekend too then as well, and because he got MORE honor than the current honor cap people, he stopped one of them from hitting HWL. They in-turn got pissed off, and threatened him, me and the guild to not get more than 500k honor in a week. If I failed to stop him and if he failed to stop PVPing, he would have been reported for botting, I would have been reported for condoning it and allowing it to happen (while knowing he was a bot) and the guild would be blacklisted from every guild on the server.

I laugh again, lol.

That's pretty much retarded, imo. If the person can naturally (as in, no bots, farmers, etc) get a ton of honor, then more power to them.

But, we all know everyone bots honor cause the system is completely stupid and broken, and I can't wait till Burning Crusade.

New honor system goes in effect in the next patch, which I can't wait for to happen.

Didnt they have something like that going on on laughingskull? A warlord group that would choose who became HWL next. If someone got too much honor they'd find their account hacked the next day. Total bullshit.

Second, Immp, how would they know you have too much honor eh? The honor tab has been screwing up for me since forever. It doesn't even wokr when you inspect them.

This was way back in the summer when I heard about this. I think the threat of being hacked was after you ranked up and they didnt get HWL...so they were like "You better watch yourself!" I had a friend in the HWL group though...he never said anything to me about that.

And seriously....someone playing the beta, please tell me those flags on the pvp arena players are only temp. It looks way too goofy.

Well, I've always been curious towards WoW, so I got that $2 2-week trial just to try the game out. Not like I could afford the game even if I get addicted. =/

I assume that during my 14 day tour I'll be too weak to warrant playing with any of you, but in case I do decide to play more someday in the future, any advice on what server to play? PvP is a given, and I'm thinking of playing Horde at the moment.

Trust me if you're going for just the two week trial and stick to PVE. On PVP the second you run into a contested area (which is anything past Westfall/Barrens, depending on your faction), you come face to face with a bunch of 60s running around killing you for no reason other than to piss you off.

As for faction, to be honest it doesn't really matter what faction you play until you get to the later levels (it only REALLY starts to matter around 45-50-ish). Just pick what's more appealing to you.

What difference does it make, though? Were I not starting on a 2 week trial, I don't think there'd be any question as to which I should start on. And say someday I do decide to come back to it, I'd probably rather not start over.

Choose PvP and you'll never go back to PvE. You're in a war, and there's no reason not to be able to kill your sworn enemies in the open.

It may be an annoyance once in a while, but you will miss it. BTW, I'm Horde on Illidan if you want to get in touch.

I also have low-level alts and can give you some financial backing if you choose to stay. (in a guild that does MC up to Ragnaros, etc)

I have to agree. PVE is far too tame and easy. Getting 60 doesn't even seem like an accomplishment. I started on a PVP server, and then made a character on a PVE server to pass time when I was burnt out on Laughing Skull, and I have to say all my true fun has been on PVP.

It's annoying to a certain degree when you're leveling and the opposing faction (Horde, in my case) just so happens to jump out at Lakeshire and waste my time for a while, but once you're at higher levels it's more of an equal playing ground and is almost a welcome challenge. Not to mention, when you encounter the opposing faction and lose they generally have other places to be so you're rarely camped (of course, this is subject to change, obviously)

So yeah, go PVP. PVE is boring.

I tried starting on PvP and it's just too damn annoying. Trust me, if you have a full time job going on, you might really want to consider PvE. There's nothing more annoying than to log in to chill and pass some time enjoying WoW, when BAM some level 60 hunter and his lame ass cat jump out of nowhere and gank you.........and gank you again............and again..........and again........and OH WAIT! You've run out of time for the night. Gee, THAT was fun! </sarcasm> Leave PvP to the BGs, enjoy PvE the way it was meant to be. On a Normal server.

Agreed. Also keep in mind that he's doing a 2-week trial of the game, not purchasing a subscription. You say that "it'll be more even when he's 60..." well, surprisingly enough, he won't have TIME to get to 60, and if he does, he'll be so massively outgeared he'll be cannon fodder to anybody above 50. =\

Trust me when I say roll PVE.

1. Queues suck ass. Currently waiting 40+ minutes to get into T-Horn

2. Todays time in AV made me can't wait for the expansion to come out. I can't stand going up against fully Naxx-geared people in AV. Can't tell you how many rogues and warriors I saw today dual-wielding Thunderfury and Naxx daggers/swords while in full T3. That shit just isn't fun.

Expansion got the release date of Jan 16th. (confirmed by Blue as "the date")

As well as a press releasing stating that. Suggested price of $39.99 while the Collector's edition is $69.99. The original game will be reduced to $19.99.
And of course WoW's subscription count has reached 7.5 million players. Good god.

And again, why exactly should I play my 14 days on PvE when, if someday I do buy a subscription, I'd much rather play on PvP? And when, if I don't ever buy a subscription, it doesn't make a difference either way?
