Cool can't wait to get Smash Bros I've never played the first one before

The Plane Is A Tiger Dec 26, 2009 09:44 PM

You're better off just buying a copy of Melee, really. The first Smash Bros. was great in its time, but Melee took everything it did and made it better without removing anything that I remember other than stages.

FatsDomino Dec 26, 2009 10:05 PM

It had the most powerful Kirby though. Oh he was so hax it wasn't even funny. Actually yeah it was funny. It was hilarious.

The Plane Is A Tiger Dec 26, 2009 10:15 PM

Yeah, they nerfed the crap out of Ness after the first one too. He got some of his power back in Brawl, but he was nowhere near as good in Melee.

Omnislash124 Dec 27, 2009 11:12 AM

You can't really nerf someone if you're putting him in for the first time. Ness just started off weaker and was powered up in Melee.

Either way, I'm not that big of a fan of the original SSB since I never owned an N64 and my memories were just me getting pounded into the ground by people who did when I played. :(

The Plane Is A Tiger Dec 27, 2009 11:24 AM

You've got it backwards. Like I said, Ness started off powerful and they made his attacks much weaker in Melee.

Caper the Fox Dec 28, 2009 11:21 AM

Well i guess theirs always those other titles tha came out in this month then to purchase =)

FatsDomino Dec 28, 2009 11:27 AM

Are you sure you should be guessing about such a thing?

wvlfpvp Dec 28, 2009 02:13 PM

Wait, so was Cave Story this year a lie?

FatsDomino Dec 28, 2009 02:20 PM

If you want updates then check their blog for progress. Things are looking nice but I honestly expect that the wait could be anywhere from half a year to a year longer before it's released.

The Plane Is A Tiger Dec 28, 2009 02:21 PM

Seems that way. Castlevania is something of a consolation, though.

Chaotic Dec 28, 2009 03:35 PM

Castlevania and Pilotwings? Oh snap.

Releases for 01/11/10

Virtual Console
Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye (Genesis) - 800 points

WiiWare
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - 1,000 points
Chronos Twins DX - 1,000 points
ShadowPlay - 800 points

The Plane Is A Tiger Jan 11, 2010 12:56 PM

I'm going to assume they just remade the first Phoenix Wright for WiiWare, and we're not actually getting anything amazing. Chronos Twins looks interesting, but I see the DS release back in 2007 didn't get stellar reviews.

nuttyturnip Jan 11, 2010 01:03 PM

Yes, it's just a port of the first Phoenix Wright.

chato Jan 13, 2010 07:15 AM

Unfortunately, it doesn't include the 5th case. You get it as DLC in may =/.

The Plane Is A Tiger Jan 13, 2010 08:47 AM

So it's not just a port, but an incomplete port. Oh Nintendo, how you like to taunt us.

wvlfpvp Jan 13, 2010 02:24 PM

YEah, but the DLC is only going to be a buck, so it's still cheaper than tracking down a DS copy for me.
