I dunno. Have you been scouring out the hidden chests on the world map, too?

I've been manhandling everything so far, so it's hard for me to think that I'm not a bit stronger than I should be.

I just got the game, played a few hours.. seems pretty good ;0 step up from 4! glad for that

Elixir Sep 7, 2007 02:40 AM

Hey guys, an undub is now available if anyone cares - and people should care, because dubbing over Nana Mizuki is a crime. And the American VAs aren't all that great.

No. Hard Pass. Sep 7, 2007 05:14 AM

Oh thank god I can't stand Becky's voice any longer.

Finally got the Monowheel, which gladly replaces manually running to and from every long stretch of road between cities and dungeons.

The story is still pretty messy so far, with there being more the ever-shifting reference to what exactly this Johnny Appleseed is. The revelation better make sense because I can't keep track of all the switching descriptor pronouns for it.

rpgcrazied Sep 8, 2007 04:53 PM

Guess im nearing the end maybe? 25hours and..

Spoiler:
just beat nightburn, then a cave fell on him.. i think hes dead? lol

Ashton Sep 8, 2007 05:06 PM

Speaking of which

Spoiler:
I require pics of Nightburn, he is awesome. Anyone know his English VA? It's the only decent one there.

rpgcrazied Sep 8, 2007 05:13 PM

not on the credits?

Forsety Sep 8, 2007 05:21 PM

You're not near the end, you're maybe a bit past half, though it's hard to gauge cause I'm not sure how many side quests you are bothering to do. Either way, that's no where near the end. The game is considerably longer than 4 was to say the least.

rpgcrazied Sep 8, 2007 05:29 PM

oh.. well i want to do it all, specially get the cameo outfits for 2nd playthru :P

mainly jets!

Ashton Sep 8, 2007 08:18 PM

Ugh i just unlocked the black market

These prices are recockulous. This with the fact that the real leveling trick was taken out means i can't really buy things in any form of a timely fashion. Christ.

rpgcrazied Sep 8, 2007 09:02 PM

im gonna use carols levels lol, cuz i hate her :P

Forsety Sep 8, 2007 10:38 PM

It's not that hard, you can level people like carol, and whoever else you rarely use to 40~45 (in the optional dungeons with a lucky card/monopoly card you can do this all in a single battle for one character) and use their levels for level 20 apples and work with those to get the items you want, not to mention easily max everyone out when you are done. It's a little time consuming, but it shouldn't take more than a few hours.

rpgcrazied Sep 9, 2007 12:28 AM

man i cant wait to fight

Spoiler:
Those four sentinels, I sure do hate getting one shoted by them.. lol

Getting those levels is actually easier now that you can steal levels from three people down to L1 without hurting the people who actually fight.

rpgcrazied Sep 9, 2007 09:24 PM

god..

Spoiler:
Persephone time.. and she heals! im only 47, i guess i should go train somewhere.. shes kicking my ass

I did beat the sol niger, so dunno why she is besting me. That gatling attack, kills you in one hit

Ashton Sep 10, 2007 12:34 AM

Spoiler:
I didn't do the towers unil i was well into my 60's, and I left them in my 70's.

I'm now at the end with everyone at 100 with sheriff stars and a few violators.

rpgcrazied Sep 10, 2007 01:07 AM

where did you train?

Ashton Sep 10, 2007 02:08 AM

Ok, looking back, and checking your level, this is the best way to go about leveling quickly.

Spoiler:
First off you'll need the following items.
Hen Badges
1 Growth Egg
Force Carrot
Speed Skates
Two Dog Leashes
Optional
Punching Glove
King's Crown

And Asgard. I'll talk about these items here as well.

First off, make Hen Badges and a Growth Egg. Put the Hen badges on Dean and anyone else you want, and the Growth egg on him as well.

Next, you'll need speed skates. If you can make them, that's the best.

Finally, the hard part.

Warp that first dungeon place(very first, the one that dean went to with his shovel and had tutorials and such), get on asgard and hover over the water to the nearby Aztec temple-like place.

Leave and then warp to Wayward Path(S) in Northwest Filgaia. Look to the southwest, and on the mountain range on the right is an area Asgard can Falcon Punch through. Go through and north is Inferno. (By the way, south is TF System Tower F).

Go to inferno, Leave and Save. Come back.

This is the fun part. You'll have to run from every fight, in and out of here.

F1: A chest with 2 duplicators, you'll need them, take N crystal.
F2: Take SE crystal. (directly to the east as you enter)
F3:Turn directly east, jump and use your anchor hook, take the crystal
F4: Take SW crystal.(Directly to the west)
F2: Take W crystal.
F6: Stomp dive the blue switch in NW corner to change position of big bridge,
then get across the bridge to S side, open chest for two Holy Berries, take
W crystal.
F7: Take SW crystal.
F6: When you get back, the bridge's position has reset, now you can reach E crystal.
F2: Step on blue floor switch to cause the bridge to start rotating. Hop on
rotating bridge and use AH to reach N side, open chest in NE corner for
5 Mega Berries, take N crystal
F8: There's a save point in SW corner, stand on AH floor plate and use AH to
hook on white orb above you. While you're traveling, drop down onto rotating
bridge and make it to W crystal.
F11: Stand on AH floor plate and use AH to hook on white orb above you, then drop off on the other side, take NE crystal.
F13: Use Duplo on Duplo chest for what we've came here for, the Full Carrot. Take the S crystal.
F11: Head back across using the AH, take E crystal.
F8: Save point. Take S crystal
F2: Go SW up the stairs to reach the S crystal to F1 and leave.

Now, The full carrot makes it that if you get the first turn in a fight, you get a full force bar. With a full force bar, you can summon Equites. With the speed skates, you always get the first turn. The summon gets stronger when you're with your allies, and the dog leashes make sure that your other two characters are always paired up. The sword medium makes sure you are able to move to them whenever. Dean at level 100 does 20k damage per enemy. The most EXP i've gotten was in Coyctus and was (88k x 2) X 6 (Monopoly Gourd which i'll get to in a moment). The Kings crown aids in leveling in coyctus because one enemy in there takes half damage from physical attacks, and you can finish them off.

You only need to be level 70-72 to beat up the towers. After which, get to the black market (Hmm, what was it now, it was something > Girl in that city near the desert > peaches to Jet > Fang to guy in Laila Baile for the black pass). You can whore out your other three characters for itams. I reccomend you first get the 20+ level carrots to get dean to 100(Really he should be 80 by the time you're out of there and you'd only need one), then start getting sherrif stars (all the A badges), the school outfits, Violators (Basically just get TIny flowers, Gunstar Signs and Chick Badges, those are the hardest of the lot to get, and you'll only need 3), and various badges that are hard to get.

Just a checklist
First 3 characters to level 100
6 Sherrif Stars
3 Violators
1 of each costume

After you get everything, get 6 Level apples (faster than getting 3), ever those three to 60 and level them up to 100.

That's pretty much what I did, took a few hours of work.

Phew.

rpgcrazied Sep 10, 2007 11:38 PM

Thanks for that..

sheesh

Spoiler:
i managed to kill Kartikeya, first time..took like 30min!but i cant do it soloing with greg.

Heavy Crush does take alot off, but he doesnt have that much MP and it takes 94mp a cast. I wish you could save after the first one ;/

I swear, im gonna level to like 100 and just destory these last bosses. Im only like 57 right now.

Ashton Sep 11, 2007 03:25 AM

Spoiler:
Make the badge that makes mp consumption half. It's A rank and i don't feel like seeing what it is.

Also give him a laurel crown, mist cloak and a red pepper. You'll restore like 1k hp per round and dodge half of his physical attacks.

Final Fantasy Phoneteen Sep 11, 2007 10:28 AM

Elder Record. It's very easy to make, and I've had one since Tim first appeared.
