Plus I like the box art for the Animeigo set. I'm not sure what the prices are though, and I think that there's 3 boxes in total.

True, I guess if you find a new box, TAKE IT!
|
i remember that i read that they lost the macross license, and all their macross products are now out of print, so eventually you wont find it anyomre (At least brand new and with the orginal retail price)
BTW i think that the animeigo macross DVDs were more expensive than the adv releases. |

hey dudes, here is something curious.
I was watching my Macross II DVD and in the last 40 minutes i noted something. When Hibiki is reporting to the people the truth about the Marduk, there is a shot of people watching the report on the street, and one of those civilians is Blade/Slade from TEKNOMAN here are some comparison pics: this is from the macross II DVD http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/2235/image1ko9.jpg this is from the show http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7892/tekaman2yb9.jpg And this is from the DVD BOX released by Media Blasters http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/3452/qwedt4.jpg |
Probably an Easteregg. I'm too lazy to do any anime cross referencing at the moment but will watch Mac II when I have time again. LOL.
|
I don't think i could ever spot that lol. At some point, when I finally finish going through all of Tekkaman Blade tv series, I will let you guys know if i spot any Macross characters.

....
ok...
respect to DVD of Macross of Animeigo... it is certain that they already lost the license... it is certain that edition (animeigo edition) of Macross TV is very dificult to obtain... but... Today .... that edition is now on sale on Robotech.com... in other presentation... Harmony Gold ... that has the license of Macross in USA and is the company that it practically has to give to the approval for all product macross that it is sold in the USA. after Animeigo finished selling its DVDs of Macross... Harmony Gold on sale sent in exclusive right in robotech.com this boxset... (and as Harmony Gold remained with the Master of Animeigo...) http://www.robotech.com/images/conte..._93_2_7377.jpg this edition is practically the same that the one of Animeigo... http://www.robotech.com/store/viewproduct.php?id=93 Regards... |
wow, you sure know a lot hikaru!!!
hehehe but how can it be possible? Harmony Gold give permition to ADV to release Macross, why are they releasing the same product? |

Harmony Gold coat that boxset... after Animeigo finished selling its edition... and long before that ADV on sale sent to their edition of Macross TV... the Boxset is sold in exclusive right in Robotech.com... and... I dont believe that it has left many copies available (to robotech.com) on the other hand... the price of the Boxset is without a doubt very good. :cow: |
i see
you are right like a hundred for all the box and episodes ADV is charging like 20-25 per volume its like 140-175(add ten more is you want the box) |

lets hope that they licencing it soon! changing the subject anyone know who is gabriela robin?? the singer for the songs from macross plus??? |
Quote:
info by ANN.com A vocalist affiliated with composer Yoko Kanno who is known for singing in made-up languages in lyrics that she wrote. But the fact that no one seemed to have seen her before have made people speculate that she is actually Kanno herself under a pseudonym. Gabriela Robin in Macross Pluss Performance the song "Saint-U".... is good... :) works in Anime Industry Cowboy Bebop (TV) : Theme Song Performance (Ep. 9 - "Cats on Mars") Escaflowne: The Movie : Lyrics ("SORA") Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (movie) : Lyrics (Grace-Jinroh-Main Theme-Omega) Macross Plus (OAV) : Lyrics (Sharon Apple songs), Theme Song Performance ("Santi-U") Macross Plus Movie Edition : Lyrics (Sharon Apple songs) Sousei no Aquarion (TV) : Theme Song Lyrics (ED), Theme Song Performance (ep 25 ED - Celiane) Turn A Gundam (TV) : Theme Song Performance (Moon) :cow: |
i see, that explains a lot.
i a pseudonym of kanno? wow |
New product coming soon, the movie (Do You Remember Love?) version of the SDF-1 Macross will be available this December. It's to 1/5000 scale, or roughly 24cm in length and can transform into both configurations:
http://www.noda-ya.com/goods/020/large/01878.jpg Transformed: http://www.noda-ya.com/goods/020/large/01878b.jpg Might decide to get it, if I can find some space to display it..... |
wow, its looks so cool!
But i prefer the Daedalus and the Prometeus, rather than the ARMD 1-2. I know that in the movie version it appears with ARMDS |
Well, scratch that. I was thinking of getting it but after seeing the price I don't think it's worth it. If you're interested, the retail price should be around Y15'540.00, that's around HK$1'010.00 or US$130.00?
Heh, heh, that's almost as expensive as the new YF-19 coming from Yamato this November. What, is it gold-plated or something?! Why is it so expensive?! Sheesh... |
i guess that for the makers, collector items means big $$$$$
|
..........
yeah...
I saw the figure days ago... is really great..... marvel... :cow: |
really, are you planning on buy one??
