Please never use the word logic in a post again if you expect us not to burst out laughing given its source.

I know for a fact that I can run faster than you, you fat fuck and as such, it is entirely logical that faced with a horde of zombies I'd team up with you, safe in the knowledge that if it came to running away, they'd catch you first and be so busy eating your lardy self that I could make a sharp exit.

Regardless, RE5 is gonna have Co op no matter what. I really don't see any reason why people have to be so upset. It's not like you HAVE to co op with someone.

I mean you could complain about the AI partner, but frankly Ashley never really gave me much trouble except for that one bloody water room, and this AI partner can actually hold a weapon this time. So far I don't see that big of a reason to bitch and moan.

And again, if AI sucks, get a friend to help out. Its not that hard with LIVE and all. And unless that Capcom rep flubbed his line, this game also feature single unit co op so you can invite your friends over to play.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 24, 2008 02:03 PM

Dunno man, isn't inviting people over and playing with people you actually know a Nintendo thing and therefore for kids

Kairi Li Jul 24, 2008 10:45 PM

So what you're saying is that the harcore gamer don't have friends or what? I mean jeez Gears of War has co op and no one whinges about that. People play together on LIVE or they do it offline split screen, like my sister and his boyfriend. They co oped on Call of Duty 4 as well. When I told them RE5 is gonna have single unit co op, they plan to get that as well.

And before the "thats a shooter" argument comes in, I feel RE4 is becoming more like a 3rd person shooter with horror elements everytime I replay it. The only difference is you have to watch your ammo count on the first run through. When you accumulate ammo on replay or get the god weapons, well, its pretty much not that scary anymore and you're just shooting through just about everything.

This feels like the paranoia people had when RE4 decided to change the entire format. I replayed RE4 more than any RE game in the series, and I have played all the main series games.

Why are you so retarded you can't understand sarcasm?

Stop posting and go read books until you're able to understand the simple mechanisms of this language we've all agreed on.

Alternatively, just stop posting.

The problem with people is that they don't realise that no one can pick up tones in voices through text. Miscommuncation happens on the net all the time even on voice chat due to lag or other glitches, its even harder to communicate with text sometimes and not have miscommuncation.

But whatever. Untill the game comes out, I choose to be optimistic about it, and I look forward to playing Co Op with people I know. I was optimistic about RE4 and it paid off well.

Well, that's not what I was saying, but

I mean

I won't argue with it

Yeah, but see most of us can contextualize. It's this freakish thing we do through reading and comprehending at the same time.

When something stated is ridiculous, and coming from a source that is rarely shown to be ridiculous, it's probably... you know, deliberately ridiculous.

For next time. Just sayin.

English? Not my first language, and people shouldn't assume English is everyone's first language and have the samel level of comprehension skill as everyone. Next time just go (sarcasm) at the end of so EVERYONE in the world who knows basic English can pick up the tone. I took the time to learn a 2nd language, having someone type a bracket with a word in doesn't take that long.

And I dunno Pangalin well, again you are assuming everyone has the same knowledge on how each member acts.

And I still don't understand why people seem to think co oping with friends is lame or something. What is so wrong with playing with your friends? If Ashley can be controlled by a real person instead of an AI that can only follow Leon or stand still, I bet other people having trouble would enjoy having that option. And again, Co Op is optional and not required. It annoys me when people bitch out on something completely optional. The series has gone in a different new direction and its fun to play. If it wasn't for you, just don't play it then. And at least bitch AFTER you played RE5.

As someone with a few extra languages learned, I have to do something I would otherwise never do Kairi. Ever. This will probably never happen again.

I have to pay you a compliment. Your mastery of English is fucking impressive if it's a second language. Better than my French and substantially better than my Japanese.

HOWEVER, I refuse to see every post Pang makes ever with brackets at the end. Just demeans them.

Kairi Li Jul 25, 2008 01:24 AM

Alright, but Pang will have to accept the consequence that not everyone on the forum will be able to pick up his tone.

Just sayin.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 25, 2008 01:26 AM

I accept this consequence gladly and now we are friends :)

Kairi Li Jul 25, 2008 01:48 AM

Yeah, I think most people recognize the universal symbol of a smiling face. :P

Anyways we should get back on topic.

New trailers

Gametrailers.com - Resident Evil 5: Reviews, Trailers, and Interviews

Two new trailers.

One of the best trailers I've seen so far. The cutscenes look fantastic and voice acting is decent, the new gameplay footage looks stunning, especially the boss fights. The music which I know is recorded by a full orchestra in the US sounds amazing. Its gonna sound so cinematic when we get to play it, and I am defintly getting the soundtrack. Also liked that Chris referenced Leon's report on Ganados.

Spoiler:
And Wesker is awesome. The boss fight with him is gonna be awesome, and his new VA sounds good too. Though he did seem to have copied some moves from the Matrix, and the wardrobe...

On spoiler notes however, the last shot made my heart stop. Image under spoiler tag.

Spoiler:

No way would Capcom kill her off... Would they? She's one of my fav characters, and the first character I've played in the series... (RE3 was my first RE game.)

Also this is how split screen should look.

Wow, now I'm really excited for this game. The soundtrack sounds pretty good, the piece they were using in the first trailer sounds oddly familiar to one of the themes from Onimusha. I hope that second, cam, trailer pops up on the J PSN next week.

Spoiler:
That was completely unexpected, Jill was the one character I was waiting to play again as in a RE sequel and now they kill her off, they had better explain this (well, they no doubt will). Hmmm, maybe the woman in tube at the end of the E3 '07 trailer is actually Jill... Perhaps an experiment of Wesker's to toy with Chris. There's also this line from Wesker that's really caught my attention in light of the tombstone, "but now that your partner has arrived, I'll leave you two to catch up." There's also that mysterious bird-masked lady.

RYU Oct 11, 2008 07:42 PM

Spoiler:
when Chris fight with Wesker,Wesker shooting other side not Chris!!! and when Chris and Sheva waiting to open test tube,I think Sherry inside

Here's how to play the 360 RE5 demo that Capcom has region locked from Japan.

Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire

- download the five rar parts
- extract them with free program called Winrar
- this will get you one folder named "content"
- burn this folder to a cd, burn it as a data CD with Nero works fine.
- insert cd into 360, it will show up as "mixed media"
- navigate to "my xbox", "demos"
- click & play!

I played it online with friends and it works great. Demo includes Co-Op offline and online, and single player. It has two levels. One is about surviving and holding your ground, the other level involves more co-op and killing Chainsaw dude. Basically what we heard from demo reports.

I also borrowed a review copy of RE: Degeneration. Animation and graphics aren't as good as RE5, but the script was typical RE, so I was happy with it . Enjoyable if you are a RE fan.

Hantei Dec 6, 2008 08:24 PM

Very cool, thanks for the share Kairi! Just a question, do we have to burn the content on a disc or can we just upload it to a memory stick and access it from there?

Kairi Li Dec 6, 2008 08:25 PM

I have not tried it using a memory stick, you can give it a shot if you want. Post the results here if you find out anything. I just burned it on a CD and it runs fine.

Shenlon Dec 6, 2008 08:34 PM

I thought the demo was out for the ps3 as well but I guess not. No region locks on demos there as far as I know so I'm hoping they release it the coming week so I can play some co op with some buds. Heard some love and hate towards the demo so far but that was in the gametrailers forums and just about everyone there have proven to be idiots.

Chaotic Dec 6, 2008 09:05 PM

I was reading elsewhere that the 360 version became region locked... So for the time, this is the only way you can get it for that system. I'm not sure for the PS3 however.

Yep, that's what happened, I tried downloading it using a friend's JP gametag. It stopped at 98% no matter what I did. So use the method from my older post.

WolfDemon Dec 7, 2008 01:56 AM

The demo won't work on a thumb drive. The only way to access one from what I can tell is through the video/music/pictures folders, and it won't recognize it as a demo. CDs are the only way.
