Aw shucks, 1.7 gb for DJ Max. Oh well. Thanks =P

Sepharite Nov 10, 2007 08:38 PM

There's a ripped version that only has certain songs. I think it comes to less than a gb. Search PSPISO.com, I'm sure you'll find it.

PSPRipkits.com :: Index

There is a rip kit for DJ Max to fit on a 1GB MS I due believe. But I decided against it since it said that some songs/videos won't load. Since that's one of the reasons to get the game. :/

Question

Does the new firmware/custom firmware remove the crappy Final battle crashing errors in Xenogears?

Kimchi Nov 10, 2007 09:21 PM

Thanks guys, but its okay. I got plenty space to work with my 4gb :eagletear:

Can anyone confirm (not mere speculation) under what firmware version FF8 works without crashing.

It doesn't seem to be a firmware compatibility issue anymore, as it is a rejection of the gameID (if that makes any sense) under the popstation loader.

Most people have solved the issue by changing the gameID of the eboot file from the original FFVIII game ID to SLPS02180 (which is Dino Crisis' gameID).

Others reported that using SLPS02180 as the gameID on 3.40 tends to be the ultimate fix.

More info here and here.

O.O That's the answer I wanted 2 pages back! But thanks.

Any idea how the gameID prevents the game from freezing?

Honestly, I don't know. I haven't tried out FFVIII, but I now VII and IX work perfectly. That was back when I was on 3.03OE-C

I think I made pandora’s battery, I am not sure yet. I used phat PSP battery I just bought… and its not charged at all. Should I charge it first or just try using it with AC-wall plugged in. [basically, try it while its charging]

And once I turn it on, how should it look like?

Just one question. I finished soldering part, now what am I supposted to do?

It shows my PSP is on [due to green light] but is blank screen. [no screen LED]. Did I !#@# it up?

RYU Nov 12, 2007 06:13 PM

All fw version not working for FFVIII without crashing when make draw

I never did it this way (just got a CFW PSP and ran the programs) but the battery had to be 75% charged or else it wouldn't work. :( So you'll have to charge it.

And the reason why the PSP doesn't turn on is because of it's in service mode right now. You'll need the files on the memstick that require it to run the unbricking portion. Or else it's just going to sit there. You should be able to turn on the PSP normally by removing the battery and turning it on while the AC adapter is plugged in.

Huh?

Slayer X Nov 12, 2007 10:51 PM

Want to know how to do Pandora battery. I reccomend finding a copy of the instructions and a "how to" YouTube video and follow along before doing it yourself for minimum error.

Kimchi Nov 13, 2007 06:51 AM

So I didn't needed to solder it -_-

One more question. I am using 14749_TOTALNewbieasyInstallerPandorasmenu

Which is supposted to be phat free for PSP.

They give me 2 options...

1. 3.6 pandora
2. unbrick and 3.7 cfw

And why did I have to freaking solder my batttery -_- I feel dumb now.
