The only Square-enix character that would actually fit into the game would be Sora. I'm not sure if Chrono would fit, and any Final Fantasy Character would be killed while waiting for an ATB guage. :)

Every time I hear "Sora" I have a sinking feeling in my gut that the game is going to turn out like... that monstrosity, becoming an unfun, unplayable yaoi fangirl's wet dream. Pit even looks like he was redesigned by Tetsuya Nomura, for christ's sake. He's the spitting image of Sora, and the fact that Sakurai's new company is called "Sora Ltd." doesn't sit well with me either...

The Keyblade must be some form of anal rape the fangirls like to inflict on unsuspecting yaoi couples...

Can we please talk about characters from a developer that isn't so... niche? Square-Enix contributing anything to this game just isn't going to happen, and besides, I hate all their stupid "games".

SE loves Nintendo right now. Plus, combining FF characters and Nintendo characters isn't exactly unknown to them. They did it in Mario Hoops, so there's a pretty "high" possibility of it happening.

Unfortunately their characters largely suck.

Y'know, I think they should have a slot for a your own personal Mii character. There's no sight of any new games that'll feature your Miis.

square characters that would make sense in SSBB:

chocobo, robo, fighter, anyone who doesn't really use magic and is somewhat well-known

The only Square character that makes sense at all or has a chance for that matter is Geno from Super Mario RPG. Any other suggestions are ludicrous.

Thats assuming Geno is owned by Square. Last I checked, it's still unknown.

What? The lol what stupid 3rd party characters do we want bit? Yeah, that's all they ever really talk about. It was like that before the game was even first talked about at E3 2005 so you really shouldn't be all that surprised.

Vampiro, Snake has been on Nintendo consoles before. FF7 on the other hand never was.

After coming off an awesome game (no matter what Gamespot thinks), Sonic really needs to be in there now. If they don't put Sonic in this game then they're really missing out. I remember back in the 16-bit days when people wanted to see Mario vs. Sonic. Well, all we've got are flash animations to deal with that but Brawl would be the perfect place to make it known on home consoles. A good deal of posts back, it was stated that Sonic was the most wanted character in Brawl.

Sora in Brawl could either help or hurt. I dunno...only reason I mentioned him was because of Chain of Memories for the GBA. I never played any of the Final Fantasy titles on Nintendo (1-6) so...yeah. Geno wouldn't be a bad addition either, however, but as far as Square-Enix characters go Crono should have first dibs on Brawl.

Oh crap...I just realized that Chain of Memories had characters like Cloud in there. Cloud in Brawl...man, I actually don't want that to happen.

Good god, I hope they don't add in any Square Enix characters. The only ones I see as possible candidates are Geno and Mog, but even that's stretching it too far.

That would make no sense at all. But it doesn't matter because if a Mii were in the game it would obviously just use its movements from Wii Sports and Wii Play as attacks, no matter if it was one you made or not.

Hell yeah man that game was fucking awesome!!! I love its abysmal, game-destroying glitches and shitty faux-JRPG plot about saving a magic princess and fighting god. Sega obviously realized that beta testing is for faggots and the result is an outstanding, legendary game right up there with Legend of Zelda!!! I mean, going through walls and floors... NO EXPERIENCE CAN BEAT THAT AT ALL!!! This game isn't completely fucking broken and unfinished, no sir!!! What?! What do you mean I'm a fanboy in denial about how shitlousy this game is?!? SCREW YOU, HATER!!!

Sonic is dead to me. I'm sure he is to many others as well, and rightfully so; I am deeply against his being in this game. I mean, Nintendo should have a standard of quality when trying to select characters to put in this game. All the characters in this game come from great, timeless franchises that at their worst, are still marginally decent. Sonic however, appeals to a very niche audience and is marred by an immense number of shit titles staining his brand. It's pathetic, his titles struggle to keep their score above a 3 out of 10, whereas Mario and Zelda titles get, what, 8s at their worst?

Picture this game like a fancy ballroom party with Nintendo as the bouncer. All the high-class superstars from Nintendo's quality game franchises are lovingly ushered in...then this washed-up, psychotic maladroit hedgehog shows up. He reeks of his own excrement and is covered in rum and pubes. And because he's followed by a gigantic torch-wielding lynch mob of his fursuit-clad fans, they should let him in? Think about that. It's not really fair. Why should the other star characters have to sit next to this utter and complete loser? He hasn't had a decent fucking game for the better part of a decade and you should really open your goddamn eyes to that.

The more I think about the less I want Sonic to be in this game. Dear God.

Console Sonic is dead, but the DS game was fantastic and actually the Wii Sonic might turn out to be OK. Which would be the first in seven years.
