Never played the Star Wars games but I've heard they're friggin difficult.

The Super Star Wars games were all pretty evil, yeah. Plus the first one was probably the worst one, aside from the level where you hunt down Jawas in your landspeeder. Empire and Return of the Jedi were both at least kind of fun.

Games were stupid hard. For no real reason. But definitely Super Star Wars was a complete and utter bitch. At least Empire and Return had passcodes to skip shitty levels.

That's all I needed to see. It's about damn time they released this game again. Frankly, I was rather upset by this not being put on Sonic's UGC. Ah, well, Nintendo 1UP's the retro store with this release, so it's been rectified.

Is Contra Rebirth a straight port of Contra to the Wii, or did they add some new stuff? anyone know?

Nay nay it's a brand new game with 5 stages and some unlockables such as harder difficulty and more characters. I've heard that the 5 stages are lengthy so you won't be completing it quickly and there's a 2 player mode.

I can't get it right now but I doubt I will be disappointed. It looks similar to Contra 3, my favourite in the series.

I find stuff like this and some of their releases on X-Box Live Arcade amusing after they released Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection so recently. Virtual Console is a little more understandable since they may not have a 360 but they recently pumped out like 6 games that were in the collection on X-Box Live.
