Obviously the 2 scenes of the one in question and Snake waking up could of been spliced together from 2 different points in the game. Though with all the effects and such going on in that scene, did anyone else notice it looked to be running a smooth 60fps? Thats kind of been up in the air given the beta runs at 30, although jumps to 60fps during M.M at most times, so I'm hoping this reaffirms that single player runs at 60fps for the most part of the game. :D |

Guy said that they didn't get a set amount from Sony, thus can't offer pre-orders. It'll basically be a mad scramble for them when they release. Definetly picking one up. |

Well the first review for MGS4 is supposed to crop up next Friday on May 16th courtesy of Official Playstation Magazine. OPM actually has a nice MGS4 issue right now thats dedicated solely to MGS4 and the past games to act as a refresher for those who haven't played the games.
There was also a big spoiler posted over the weekend of photo taken during the Euro press junket when they got to play and complete the game in Konami Europe, Paris. Man, that is so disappointing that there's no main theme for MGS4. Just such a shame to deny the concluding game to the MGS series its series' main theme. I guess we should have expected as much when the main theme never once made it into the various trailers. The removal of the theme from MPO should have been a hint as well (which did appear in the GC trailer, but never in the game or soundtrack). I'll be constantly thinking of when the theme should have been used come Sneak Out.
Oh well, still can't wait till the soundtracks release. Heh, it'll be hard to resist listening to it before the game's release. I'm anxious to hear the new vocal songs (apparently there's two), which I'm assuming were written by Rika Muranaka. |
Okay so consider me lost. Did they use the theme in a trailer and whoever has the rights to the song said no because they weren't initially credited or didn't get their permission?
If it was something that petty, Kojima probably could've had it taken care of right then and there. If not, what's the story? |
I'm not really an MGS fan at all so maybe the answer is obvious, but what does that video have to do with cutting the theme? It just seems to be a typical promo preview and discussion of the music's origins.

Seems more like damage control for a track that was considered memorable for VGM prior to being exposed for plagiarism.

Many of us have heard and read about the incident. I personally was hoping that Konami/KP would come forward about it, rather than just go quiet about it and let the theme disappear without a reason (even though we know why).
