Actually, that seems to be a Kid Icarus stage they're on. There's a statue of Palutena in the background, they're in the clouds, and are surrounded by greek structures...

Been dying for some SSBM news and the trailer was pretty cool. Some of the stages look really nice. BTW, how'd people find out November 3rd was the date? Didn't see it on the trailer so just wondering. Still, if it is Nov 3rd thats a very long time away. Kinda thought this would be out maybe around spring or summer or something...ah well

Nov. 3rd is TODAY, as in, that's when they were going to show the TRAILER. It's not the release date for Smash Bros. Brawl.

This shows off some of the attacks and stages. Snake pulls out a nikita, Wario is awkwardly animated, Fox's stage is in high orbit above a planet and starts to freefall, Yoshi's island actually looks like Yoshi's island, Mario Circuit is a stage...

I'm not sure why Fox gets that "special guest" treatment afterwards, though. Maybe it's because they didn't mention any new or returning characters and wanted to let people know of at least one.

Well, it was nice to see some of the gameplay and all but I wish they had revealed more characters beyond Fox. Really digging the new stages though. Very polished. Yoshi's Island is <3.

Oh well, this is just a "in-game" trailer more than the past trailer, but i like it a lot, the game is still looking very nice!

Still, dont get dissapointed just because they show Fox as the only new character, is obviously that this isnt the last Smash Brawl trailer ever, at least that Nintendo releases SSBB with just 10 characters, lolz

I noticed that one stage floating high above the mountains is shown at different times of day. Maybe it's set to the Wii's internal clock? That'd be a dated feature, but still nice.

Also Fox's stage has me intrigued. It seems to come out of warp at one point, and then orbits above Corneria for a moment before freefalling towards it. I wonder what element they're going to add to the stages this time...

That was a pretty cool trailer. The new stages look pretty cool like the Shadow Moses stage and the Mario Kart stage. I was hoping to see a brand new (as in never before seen character) but it was just a reworked, revamped space vulpine. Oh well, Fox is still cool in my book. :kitsune:

Ah, well, i cant deny that i feel that the platforms of the stages are really small...

It'd be interesting if fox's stage flew some of the many battles in the n64/snes game. Meteor or junk field with shit bouncing off the stage as it flies through. Of couse you'd have to have a giant space battle around it too. Looks like thats one of the things that take place. Really hope they gave returning levels though because I'm gonna miss that nice wiiiide great fox stage.

I dunno, the trailer didn't do much for me. Aside from Kid Icarus, most of the trailer seemed pretty bland, and it felt a bit too much like Melee. Hopefully I'm wrong though, since I do have high hopes for this game.

As a side note, Snake seems interesting,and Samus seems to play a bit like Sheik. Oh, and I noticed they used the DS version of Fox for the game. Although he did look pretty crappy on the DS, the SSBB team managed to make him look decent, although I would still have preferred one of his previous forms.

Does anyone else get the impression that they haven't bothered to make any new characters other than Fox since the first trailer? It's not like there was any doubt that Fox was going to be playable, you'd think they'd reveal something new to keep us anticipating. I really like Fox's redesign, hopefully the other characters will get similar treatments. I don't like the look of the stages shown, just a plaforms with a few floating platforms, although the crumbling floors are pretty cool.

What I'm interested in is what relevance Snake's crawl will have to actual gameplay.. I don't see it being very useful in a real match. But overall, that trailer was pretty nice. I also like the new version of the SSBB theme they played in it.. I really didn't like the orchestrated/choir'd one they played in the E3 trailer.

They only showed a scant few stages. According to my knowledge, the platform in the halberd stage occasionally flies off and lands back on it...

I can tell i'm going to enjoy using PIT. He looks like he's to be Falco's replacement. I'm more into hit and run tactcis than head on brawling.

Saw the trailer, and I'm loving some of the stages. Some seem very dynamic, especially Fox's stage, though I have no idea what they were fighting on.

Wario pretty much won me over, however. That choppy dash headbutt was <3

Mm, I'm kinda disappointed with Wario. Yes, it's humorous the things he does in that video, but if they're just going to make him into a joke character like that Dan Hibiki guy, then they're undermining how awesome he is as a protagonist. I mean, he's able to transform his body into many things, like springs, vampire bats, snowmen... he's even able to fucking immolate himself and be unscathed, for christ's sake. Add to that the fact that he has super-herculean strength, and has the gall to greedily steal all the things he wants in life, like jewelery and gold...

...I mean, just seeing him prance around like a ninny and fart on people after knowing all that just makes me sad. It's pitiful that they're not using his potential as a character at all. :(

I watched the trailer and I'm fairly impressed. I can't wait to play it.

However, I need some kind of confirmation that Peach is going to be in this. 'He Who Smokes Bitches' (that's me, btw) can't very well smoke any bitches if there's no Peach to smoke bitches with.

And I'd have to disagree about Dan. If you took the time to know how to use him, and learn how to use him effectively, then he's pretty damn good. Otherwise, yeah, he sucks.

Isn't that the same with everybody? If you don't know how to use him/her/it, of course he/she/it's going to suck. If you did, then it would be very different.

It's like me saying Pichu sucks ass in SSBM. But I'm sure there are people who would prove me wrong.

I for one would be dissapointed to see any character removed or replaced. This game should be in no way a downgrade and having less characters seems like a downgrade to me.
