Man, I haven't posted here in a really long while. Probably because when I buy something most of the time it ends up going straight into the backlog. Not the case with Battlefield: Bad Company (Gold Edition). I tried the demo and got addicted to it, prompting me to buy it at full price (something I hardly ever do, though to be fair it came with a free $10 gift card).
So far I'm loving it, though I haven't much time to play it due to school. I'm only on the second level, but already the game is amazing. It's just fun blowing shit up. And I love the multiplayer as well, though I haven't got to try all the maps yet (I've only tried maybe half of them). |
Finally got Lost Odyssey. I like it. Probably won't be picking up any other games this month. Just lots of music.
|
Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. I like the game when I tried it on my friend's XBOX. Picked up the PS2 version for about 8 bux.

I tried making a smiley. :cmb: Crazy bloody sales lately, we have this retail chain called Dick Smith, but their logo has Dick Smith's head between, so it's commonly called Dickhead Smith. http://www.dse.com.au/isroot/dse/images/dsleftlogo.gif Learning is fun! Anyway they're clearing games out like their pants are on fire or something. $5 for Canis Canem Edit, $10 for Test Drive (downloaded this on PC ages ago, but my PC's rubbish for gaming), $12 for Wipeout Pulse (haven't played a Wipeout game in aggeeesss), $15 for The Simpsons. ffhufhuf Shadow of Memories and Zoo Puzzle were from GAME with their 40% off all pre-owned PS2 titles. Zoo Puzzle was just a random impulse thing because I looked at the back of the box and realized it's actually Zoo Keeper. I fucking love Zoo Keeper on DS, this one has a lot more modes and better music, but using a dpad is pretty dodgy. That thing on the top left is Simple Series vol: Whatever: The Whatever Whatever, $6 new. Complete shit. Rune Factory wasn't on sale or anything, but it is American, which meant it was less than half the price of buying the game here~ This is the first Harvest Moon game I've enjoyed since the original. ;_; |
Guitar Hero Aerosmith bundle. Love the Les Paul controller...SOOO much better than the lame Rock Band Fender and feels better than my trusty SG. Oh, and the game is pretty good, considering I only know maybe 3 Aerosmith songs. Notecharts seem better this time around (not as many 3-note chords thrown in just for the hell of it).

Got Persona 3 FES at normal price from Gamestop. Hate them but couldn't find it elsewhere. At least they didn't try to pull the "gutted game, but its new!" shit with me this time. Toys R Us clearance got me Jeanne d'Arc, Parappa the Rapper, and Every Extend Extra for $8 each. Patapon was list price at $20. I also got 16 batteries for free almost cause I had to buy something else to use my $10 off $50 coupon. Was gonna use it on Mario Kart Wii but they didn't have it. I still haven't found Digital Devil Saga though and I'm empty inside because of it. :( |
I bought Odin Sphere, brand new for like $16. Valkyrie Profile 2 used, Burnout Paradise and Condemned used on the 360 using a 25% coupon that I had for Gamestop. So a pretty good haul that day.

My life is a little brighter now.
http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/1473/snv30058bj9.jpg Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga: used, but complete, $39.99 The King of Fighters XI: used, but complete, $12.99 'Eyyyyy!! http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/2828/snv30069lh1.jpg Had to go to the Nintneod Store for this because it's sold out at every retailer in the known New World. Next up: Digital Devil Saga 2, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Xenosaga II and III. |
Well since it was my bday July 4th [which none of you fuckers gave me a bday thread ], I went and got myself two presents.
Rainbow Six: Vegas for the ps3. I just played some of it now, and I must say it's really fun. I love this whole team based thing they got going on. It's easy to shoot, and feels very cool. I also got myself Burnout: Paradise. It's a fun game...though, the free roaming thing is a turn off for me at the moment, because im used to Burnout 3, and just doing those races and shit like that. I'm sure one of you here has it, so we'll have to race. I need a better car though of course. EDIT: and just cuz I wanna get this out in the open....I just went through this entire thread, and re-read everyone's 'recent' purhcases. Man...some of you people here are spoiled little bitches. |
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories. Even though leveling up into the thousands may take over like 500+ game hours. It's still worth playing. As you can experience with different armaments/weapons etc... Gaining powerful skills that do well over 500k.

I reccently made a few game purchases over the weekend. The games I picked up are:
1.) Trauma Center: Under The Knife 2 (DS) - Finally a sequel to the original game which I immensely enjoyed. 2.) Mega Man Powered Up (PSP) - Kind of amazed I found this game in factory sealed condition. Just two more games added to my backlog of many more games. |

Just got Battlefield: Bad Company for the Playstation 3. Great game so far. Witty, funny and graphically, i'm impressed with it. Rockgamer and I played online a couple of matches tonight, and it was a blast. You peeps need to get it, so we all can fight :).

It's Been a While since my last update 5/14/2008. Okay lets get started:
Purchases: Excite Truck (Wii) ================ Bought this for ($10) at Kmart. Clearanced item. Wanted this when I first got my wii a long time ago. Still sealed haven't played it yet. Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition (PS3) ================================== Bought this after preordering (84.99 payed it slowly) this before it was even announced around April 1, 2008. Loved this game. Played it nonstop pretty much. 23hrs to finish it (Left it on paused like 3hrs over 1st playthrough. Awesome game but story kind of pissed me off. Not going to ruin anything. If you have a PS3, get this. Came with LE Artbook & MGS4 Official PS3 Keychain thingy LOL. Metal Gear Solid: The Essesntail Collection (PS1/PS2) ====================================== Huge fan of MGS. Had to pick this up (29.99) because I don't own the original MGS for PS1 (played it though). That was the only reason that I bought this. Own MGS2:Subsistence (PS2), MGS3:Subsistence (PS2), & MGS:The Twin Snakes (GC). Probably I'll keep this sealed. Metal Gear Solid 4: Limited Edition Guide (Guide) ======================================= Bought this (24.99) when the game came out with the $5.00 off coupon that came in the artbook. Again, huge fan. Still sealed and I think it's OOP now. Tetris DS (DS) ======================================= Always wanted to get this but since it's OOP now. I wanted to get it ASAP so I bought it for (29.99) on Ebay about a month ago. Love this game! Tetris never gets old. Metroid Prime Hunters (DS) ======================================= Same issue with Tetris DS. Wanted this so bought it online for (17.99 Shipping Not included) on Ebay. Still sitting there..haven't played it yet. Silent Hill: The Experience (PSP) =================================== Got this for free (0.00) at my local Gamestop during the gameday sales. They put it on the 4.99 PSP movies. Asked for the price and they said just to take it. Yay! Still no PSP since my last update and thus this remains sealed. :-D The Simpsons Game (PS3) ================================ Bought this at Target for (14.98) Clearance. Been kind of curious about a simpsons game so there I bought it. Still sealed. Devil May Cry 3:Special Edition (PS2) ================================ Got it at Target for (4.98). It went salvage so it was priced at the last clearance price. I bought the original DMC3 when it came out for 49.99. Stupid Capcom. Still sealed. Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World (GBA) ============================================ Bought this at Circuit City for (16.98) Clearanced out. Had to pick this up because it's a great game and since its OOP now it'll only get harder to find now days. This that's all from the last update. Seems like a lot (Stupid MGS4 LOL :p JK). So far June was kind of slow for me and by the looks of it, I'll probably only pick up Final Fantasy IV DS when it comes out. Wish List for next update: ========================= Final Fantasy: IV DS - $39.99 Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Ring of Fates - $39.99 |
Assassin's Creed was my last purchase for the PS3. Way to limited with what you can do but the game world is really amazing. A sequel will prob. be better but still worth the $22 dollars I spent on the game :-)
|
Got my copy of Tales of Symphonia -Knight of Ratatosk- on July 1st. I think I'm probably about 40-50% of the way through the game thus far.
|
Picked up Thief: Deadly Shadows yesterday. Now I actually have to go pick up an XBOX controller that actually has working rumble.
|
More XBOX games. Whoo.
Picked up Panzer Dragoon: Orta and Jet Set Radio Future. I already down JSRF, but that was in the dual pack. Managed to find a copy of just that game in almost perfect condition. The dude working there tried to get me to buy the dual game with Sega GT 2002, but I told him I was aware of it's existence and would rather just get the solo copy anyway. Panzer Dragoon: Orta... I've played it before and it's hard as hell. ;_; At least I got it for only 6 dollars. CD was in less than stellar condition, but as long as I could play it, that's all that matters. |
Got me two (used) copies of Condemned 2 and Resistance - Fall of Man.
Resistance is great. I wonder why it was so badly recieved. But then again, I'm a real sucker for all things pulp and this weird war II setting definetly is pushing all the right buttons for me. Regarding JSRF: Is that playable on 360? Loved JSR on the DC back in the day... |
Well when I went to buy Brawl recently, I also picked up an older title. Went into The Gamesmen or whatever they're called nowadays and noticed they still dealt in N64 games. Been *years* since I've seen an actual store still selling games as old as that, so I glanced through them and noticed a few goodies such as Majora's Mask, DK64 and Bomberman 64. I'd never owned the first two but I'd rented Bomberman 64 back in the day and absolutely loved it to death, though I had to return it before I finished it. Ended up going back later and buying it - think it was $20 - so that was some money well spent to relive such a good ol' game. :p

Rogue Galaxy $19 at Futureshop. It was the only ps2 game there that wasn't shovelware, and I heard decent things. Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube. Dark Cloud because Dark Cloud is awesome. Eternal Sonata $20 used at Blockbuster. I bought it while I waited for their cd buffer to finish repairing my Rockband that my 360 wreaked. Final Fantasy VIII, and IX because I have never played them before. Zelda DX, and a pre modded ps2 to replace my old one which short circuited |
I can't believe you bought Dark Cloud and FF VIII at the same time.
I trust your balls fell off at the sheer horror. Now if it was Dark Cloud II, we could talk... |
I downloaded Dark Cloud 2, and bought the first just because it was cheap an I wanted to see what improvements were made.
|
O. O sir. I'm so sorry. You are in for a colossal let down.
Dark Cloud to Dark Cloud II is one of the single greatest improvements from one game to another. DC II is fantastic. The first one is easily one of the worst games I've ever played. |
