Yeah, a location and Pokey/Porky being in the game is such a HUGE spoiler. Oh and something about there being chimeras and shit. Really, if that ruins the game for you then you lose, don't bother playing anything again. I haven't played Mother 3 yet and this certainly doesn't bother me.

The_Griffin Oct 15, 2007 03:09 AM

lol, okay so maybe internet sarcasm is harder to detect than I thought.

Dark Nation Oct 15, 2007 03:22 AM

SPOILERAN GAEMS

In all seriousness though, this stage should be fun to play, its huge, there's an Ultimate Chimera (Whatever that is), and we MIGHT get Mother 3 over here in the US if we're lucky. IMO We need more City Stages like this.

Infernal Monkey Oct 15, 2007 05:06 AM

New update.

holy mother of God!

I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!

"You know what they call the Nintendo Wii in France?"
"Nope."
"A Nintendo Royale with Cheese."
"...That doesn't make any sense."
"Shut the fuck up, Garfield."

Krelian Oct 15, 2007 06:00 AM

Oh my God what the fuck.

Well I do hope Mother 3 is coming out in Earth language soon!

Monkey King Oct 15, 2007 10:28 AM

At this point, my last desperate hope is that Nintendo is holding back for a giant Mother collection with all three games to be released on the DS or something. It's about the only way I could see it coming out here at this rate.

Krelian Oct 15, 2007 10:37 AM

I'm sure they'd give it a funky name. Earthbound 2 wouldn't exactly catch on seeing as most of the western world is all like EARTHBOUND? WHAT'S THAT, IT'S CERTAINLY NOT HALO. Mother 3 wouldn't work either.

Just name it Mother*groan*er. If they can get away with that on a radio surely a game cover can do the same~

Lollin at Mario slugging Peach for trying to kiss Link.

And oh my god would Tetris block be the best character or what. Your smashes are all changing shape.

Hell I wouldn't mind a Tetris level, constantly building itself and disappearing would be a hell of a hard level to play in.

Yea. Especially if the level decides to get a grand combo, and all the block disappear. :gonk:

Today's Update: The Home Run Contest is back. This time with shield barriers so Yoshi could finally Down+A to his heart's content without the damn sandbag falling off the stage.

Whoo. Now there's co-op, online competition, and multiplayer. :)

Metal Sphere Oct 16, 2007 03:37 PM

Damn, I wonder what else has an online mode. Online target practice?

FatsDomino Oct 16, 2007 03:57 PM

Co-op Event Mode would be pretty sweet. It could take away some of the challenge if they didn't up it accordingly since you have someone helping you. Still, it could be pretty sweet. =)))

Dark Nation Oct 16, 2007 04:40 PM

Smashing the Sandbag was a fun time-waster and I expect this version to be no different. Wifi on that mode is a nice bonus =D

Lizardcommando Oct 16, 2007 06:26 PM

Coop mode and an online competition mode in that Smash the Sand Bag mini-game? Huh, now that's pretty interesting. I never did like the one in SSBM. These new additions definitely spice things up.

Slash Oct 16, 2007 06:46 PM

Yes...the delay for Smash Bros is proving to be a good thing now.

Online play is going to be amazingly awesome though.

It would be kinda cool to have like...online target smash competitions and, if they bring it back, an online race to the finish for distance competitions.

SuperSonic Oct 17, 2007 11:20 PM

Yesterday's update was Meowth who is now a random Pokeball character.

The funny thing is that at the bottom, Sakurai comments:

Maybe if you check the Japanese version of Smash Bros. Dojo you can find out...

Now, I'm not 100% certain this is true, but supposedly in the Japanese Page, he says something to the effect of "I wonder what they call it overseas..."
Can anyone who reads Japanese confirm this?

On the subject of Meowth itself, Needs more Team Rocket

chato Oct 18, 2007 03:53 AM

Though I was hoping he'd be a playable character. An assist trophy isn't bad either!

Who can forget that good ol start button uppercut attack!

SuperSonic Oct 18, 2007 10:28 AM

Well I was hoping for the 8 bit version but this version isn't that bad either. Looks like they kept every detail about him. I'll bet a lot of people are wanting a new Punch-Out! now. :D

Too busy having more focus on SSBB at the moment. :p
