PRoblem is...WHO would Cena lost it to? They should have had Taker VS Cena...then there would at least be someone who could take the belt...

Slash Mar 20, 2007 01:32 AM

Cenas going to lose the strap to Michaels, Taker is going to lose to Batista and everyone knows McMahon is going to Lose to Trump

Winter Storm Mar 20, 2007 07:30 AM

I hope so. Shawn is one of the few wrestlers that actually wears the title like it means a lot to them. Cena carries the thing around like it's a paper weight. I've always hated that. Batista, Lashley both wear thier titles like it is important to them, and I like that.(yea I know, it's no big deal but if you work so hard for something you should treat it with respect).

Bald McMahon = my ass will be laughing.

Spoiler:
ROTF, as if breaking the Masterlock was hard to do anymore now that Masters is less than 30% of mass he once had.

I am so got damn tired of hearing JBL's voice. Why doesn't he just go away or something..=.=

dagget Mar 20, 2007 10:25 AM

I dunno, I think Taker should remain undefeated at Wrestlemania. It'll give him something to be known for as well as a sign of respect for sticking with WWF and not jumping to WCW when he could have. Kane was given the oppertunity to take the undefeated streak from him and he respectfully refused it.

Edge will lose his first Wrestlemania this year, probably to Jeff Hardy, I also think they're trying to turn Edge face again, and to be honest, it's easier to do since Lita's gone. (even though Edge was the one fucking around with her on Matt, I'm sure she had more to do with it)

I really wish TNA would get a few big names to stabilize and establish it as a "worthy competitor" (in WWE's eyes they aren't, but I know that they have the potential to open Vince's eyes wide and make him go "WTF")

I feel the brand split is coming closer and closer to an end. Since all PPVs now are going to be "split brand" PPVs. The brand split was a horrible idea anyway.

Slash Mar 20, 2007 12:54 PM

I don't think Edge's game of playing possum will help him turn face. If they wanted to turn him face they would have had him screw Orton over and not Flair.

SuperSonic Mar 20, 2007 03:51 PM

I just can't shake the feeling in my mind that Trump is going to lose at Wrestlemania...it would be unexpected. And then Trump pulls off his wig and features a bald cap over his head.

Anyways, Michaels has been long overdue for a title reign so he'll take the belt over Cena. I'll be damned if Michaels doesn't win the belt from Cena. Same goes for Undertaker vs. Batista. Not even Hulk Hogan or Macho Man should be the ones to cost Undertaker his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania. We're getting new champions, dammit.

Money in the Bank...don't care who wins. I just love ladder matches in general. It would've been much better if Shelton were in it, because he was amazing last year.

If Michaels were to win the title from Cena, I'll bet he'll lose it at the next ppv. :(

It's not really that unexpected to me. I expect Trump to lose because of the fact that people have been making fun of his hair for years. This seems like an excuse for him to get haircut without is seeming like he only cut his hair because of the insults getting to him. Whenever there's a hair vs hair match, it's always because some needs a haircut, but they feel they cant just do it out of nowhere without questions.

The last one I remember was Kurt Angle. He had the receding hairline, and it kept receding more and more, so they had the hair vs hair match as an excuse to cut his hair bald. Of course, Trump isn't even affiliated with Wrestling and Kurt Angle is, so that is the only thing that would make me bet against Trump losing. But I don't think Vince needs a haircut, and Trump definitely does, so I would be surprised if Trump won.

Winter Storm Mar 20, 2007 07:41 PM

I don't see whats wrong with Trumps hair other than it looking like he's wearing a tupae.

It's ridiculous how the one who held the IC title for almost year went to being shove on midcarder shows like Heat.

Sting would have been that way with WCW til he showed up in TNA >_>.

Ridiculous indeed. Shelton Benjamin in my honest opinion is one of the best on the roster. He turned in solid performance after solid performance with some very entertaining moves throughout his career. Back when he defeated Triple H like three times and won the IC title for his first time, I was excited. The problem is, according to the WWE eye, he doesn't have the charisma/mic skills. Still, I don't see why he shouldn't be in the MITB match.

Winter Storm Mar 21, 2007 06:02 PM

I can't deny that he lacked charisma. All his cheers when he was a face were so low volume, almost like a "oh great look it's Shelton...yay woo whoo >_>".

Slash Mar 21, 2007 06:15 PM

I remember when he was starting out on Velocity he had some great end match promos and stuff...but then it kinda fell off the edge of the earth when Team Angle appeared

Winter Storm Mar 22, 2007 01:54 PM

I know this is kinda mean but my best memory of him was when he got the Sweet Chin Music from hell. That shit had to hurt his jaw for a long time cause the velocity and elevation he had from jumping from that top rope and into Shawns foot was pretty intense.. But after the match Shawn was in awe that such young talent had gave him a run for his money.

Slash Mar 22, 2007 03:10 PM

The only reason I remember him from velocity is because after every match he won they did a backstage thing with him and he always said "It's all about the Benjamins" But I think if he and Hass were given the mic when they were part of Team Angle instead of Heyman taking it it would have been alot better. And even though the WGTT is entertaining...I liked the whole Shelton and Mama's boy thing, that was pretty funny

Was there anyone else disappointed when Chris Benoit lost to John Shieta other than myself?

And I don't know what the WWE hopes to accomplish at the moment with Donald vs Vince. At one point, many people believe that Donald will win because Trump losing his hair is of epic proportions (Vince must've paid a SHITLOAD of cash just to make it happen). However other than that, Vince loses his hair, fans happy, predictable drama and attempt to make Bobby Lashley half success half failure.

Also I think its a way to promote Bobby Lashley's popularity and if it is, the scriptwriters are pulling a lot of the stops to do it but it doesn't seem to be going too well. Bobby is lacking the energy (or the show of it) and charisma imo which John Shieta has to attract so many fans (and stupid [no offence] kids). Bobby Lashley is a real man while John Shieta is just a rebellious thug which so many kids love. I also wonder if its because Bobby's black that's also affecting his popularity.

Winter Storm Mar 23, 2007 05:24 PM

Aretha Franklin is going to WM23. I swear if something happens to her(ok I wont do anything but still).

And I wasn't dissappointed, nor surprized. I think..Benoit is being slowly made into a jobber. As for Lashley, technically he was robbed of the US title(Theodore) and putting him in ECW gave him a chance to remove all of his limits. Basically we're seeing him in full, so if there is something wrong with him, I'd say it's definitly how he's being used script wise. Putting him against Umaga - a high calibur wrestler with a good w/l record is a huge step towards getting him known out there. I don't like the "cause he's black card" too much but it could be factor fan wise maybe.

You just can't hope to make a new Ron Simmons or a Pre WCW-WWE invasion Booker over night.

mortis Mar 23, 2007 07:30 PM

Benoit losing clean was OK for build up to Cena/Micheals' world title match. Him losing by tap out was not because we all already know he will lose to MVP, so why not at least have him go in with some momentum.

Then again, when I think about it now, Benoit really hasn't lost TOO much since he came back in October. He has had a pretty solid US title reign.

SuperSonic Mar 24, 2007 12:12 AM

Benoit just isn't the type of guy I see who would tap out, very much like the Undertaker. Yeah, it would've been nice if Benoit would've beaten Cena...but why are they doing a rematch between the Wrestlemania main eventers again? Prediction:

1. Undertaker will turn on Batista this time around.
2. HBK/Cena will turn on his partner.

The only way Lashley is going to get more popular is if he beats someone more well known and respected than Umaga. Look at Batista and Triple H, that's why I started liking Batista...until he got traded over to Smackdown.

Winter Storm Mar 24, 2007 07:49 AM

You stopped liking Batista because he got traded to smackdown? :o

Fixed with great justice.

Alright, I'll correct that. I didn't like him AS MUCH when he got traded to Smackdown, mainly because I don't watch Smackdown. I keep forgetting about it...much like TNA Impact! :( Raw is the only one I seem to watch weekly.

I believe they changed it to STFU now. Jim Ross even shouted out STFU when Cena used it. Not to mention, its listed as the STFU on wwe.com

Winter Storm Mar 24, 2007 05:09 PM

I know it's called the STFU. That's not my point. The point is he is beating people with a lame basic submission hold that usually all wrestlers manage to get out of. And it is a shameful to me that Benoit..a master of submission..taps to this. . .hold. :/

mortis Mar 25, 2007 06:59 AM

Well, in the States they get out of it. In other locations, it is a pretty huge finisher...

Erisu Kimu Mar 25, 2007 07:50 PM

I don't like how Cena does the STF ahem U. It looks retarded. It's kind of equivalent to how The Rock did his sharpshooter. He looked like he was taking a crap. I'm tired of the WWE putting over Cena like he's unstoppable and that victory over Benoit was lame. Benoit himself should be in the World Championship hunt, not mid-card jumble. He doesn't need the U.S title. He's already won enough mid-card titles.

Anyway, Bobby Lashley is pretty solid even if he's not that over. I like his Championship background. Currently in ECW, he's the closest thing to old-school Taz, which is another reason why I like him.

I know what you mean but god the name is retarded. FU and STFU... immature kids love this kind of shit where as viewers like us frown at it. Its been turned into some phrase where kids can go FU! and STFU! without shame and restraint.

Winter Storm Mar 27, 2007 02:42 PM

While the board was down..I been dying to post this:

LAUGH MY ASS OFF. HBK finally knocked the living shit out of Cena. The video of him doing it wasn't working though :(. I bet..I bet he did it the same way he did Hogan. Classic partner turns around and walks right into it.

And Joey Mercury was released(saw that coming).

Sentimental value I guess(US title comes from WCW).
