Pretty much! He has the speed of Sonic and the jumping of some sort of astronaut covered in cream cheese.

*types out a string of expletives*

Just a few days ago I was telling my sister that if Secret of Mana ever came out for the VC, I'd be buying it to play with her, never knowing at the time that it'd actually come out. OMG, now I just have to get this game. Sadly, I can't get it right at the moment 'cause of my upcoming trip. I won't be able to get it until next year unless a generous person wants to gift me it.

I played this game on the SNES but never had the chance to play it with anyone :(

No. Hard Pass. Oct 19, 2008 10:23 PM

Please fuck off and never come back ever again. How are you going to beg for hand outs on an internet message board? What are you, Bobo?

Isn't it like, a tenner? Where's your trip to, Guantanemo Bay?

Goddamn, if you're that stuck, acquire it from somewhere else. Ye gods above.

Releases for 10/20/08:

Virtual Console
GRADIUS II GOFER NO YABOU (TG16) - 900 points
Digital Champ Battle Boxing (TG16) - 700 points

WiiWare
Tetris Party - 1200 points
The Incredible Maze - 500 points

nuttyturnip Oct 20, 2008 11:29 AM

$12 for Tetris, a game we all have several versions of by now, is hard to swallow. Sure, it's got balance board and wii-mote support, but it's still very easy to find a match on Tetris DS. Why drop $12 more?

I'm somewhat curious about Incredible Maze, because it's only $5 and includes balance board support. Then again, I wasn't that great at the ball-maze minigame in Wii Fit.

Krelian Oct 20, 2008 11:30 AM

Tetris Party is apparently pretty solid. Might check it out.

I mean, fuck, I hear there's a balance board mode. All three Wii Fit owners competent enough to get their Wii online will love this!

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 20, 2008 11:47 AM

It's quite clever how they sell you all these extra peripherals just so you'll buy any old crap that supports it in future to justify buying the thing in the first place.

The Plane Is A Tiger Oct 20, 2008 11:47 AM

Hey guys, I promised Nutty that if Tetris Party ever came out on WiiWare I would buy it, but I don't want to spend any money now. It'll be 2011 before I get around to buying this great title unless someone would like to gift it to me.

Spoiler:
Nothing great this week, so I'll drop some of my remaining points on Shining Force 2 after all. Tetris Party would be tempting if I had a balance board and it wasn't $12, but unfortunately both of those are true. Bowie has defeated Tetris once again.

Peddle your lies somewhere else, filthy mendicant.

Home Sweet Home is some sort of interior design simulator. Who pays $10 for this garbage?

The Plane Is A Tiger Nov 3, 2008 02:54 PM

The same people who paid $10 for Pokemon Ranch.

Some day Mew will be mine. :(

Anyone who doesn't already own MM3 on NES or the Anniversary Collection and doesn't buy this is dead to me. It's as simple as that.

nuttyturnip Nov 10, 2008 12:46 PM

I believe Japan got the original Ogre Battle this week; hopefully that will make its way over here.

Fun fact: Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam is a byproduct of Keebler Elf porn films.

Lukage Nov 10, 2008 04:24 PM

MM3 was....acceptable. I still prefer 4.

Good thing I nabbed a Points card from Circuit City yesterday, woo hoo.

SpaceOddity Nov 14, 2008 02:37 PM

Has anyone heard if LucasArts plans to let Nintendo release some of their titles? I've actually emailed them about it and haven't gotten a response. It'd be great to have some of their old Star Wars and Indiana Jones stuff released, like the Super Star Wars series and heck, Shadows of the Empire for N64. People may say those games suck, but I have a certain fondness for them. heh.

The Plane Is A Tiger Nov 14, 2008 02:40 PM

Speaking of Shadows of the Empire, when are you planning to start up the thread for VC Secret Santa, Nutty? It should be about that time, or are you still waiting to do the test run with Skills to see if Canada fails?

nuttyturnip Nov 14, 2008 02:44 PM

I looked at the thread from last year, and I started something like December 11, but that was because I had to wait for Nintendo to release the gifting feature. I'm planning to start it up shortly after Thanksgiving, once everyone starts thinking about the holidays, and I'll leave sign-ups open for a few weeks.

Similar to horseshoes, Bags is a deceptively simple yet extremely competitive game where players try to toss beanbags into a hole in a slightly raised platform or "box" for points. Whether at a tailgate party or a summer barbecue, the game has become a social focal point, and the unmistakable thud of bags hitting the box is now a universal party soundtrack.

At long last you can finally play Cornhole with your Wii.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Nov 17, 2008 12:22 PM

For that amount of money, could you not just buy a bow with a hole in and some beanbags? You'd probably have change left over for a couple of beers too.
