As for me, picked up Crisis Core the other day. Certainly an odd little title so far. Unless I can find something interesting to pick up, think that's it for me for splurging. lol Oh also forgot to mention I got a copy of Inindo FINALLY. Always loved that SNES game |
I remember playing that game at my cousin's house. Interesting puzzle game. I still need to get that game now that you mention it.
|
Purchased Dead Rising and Lost odyssey by trading off my wii sports and ghost squad and RE:UC on the game rental chain here in the philippines.
Planning to grab Oblivion for the 360 by the end of the month, Preordered GTA4 on yesasia hecka cheaper than play-asia. |
Picked up RE 4 for $4.85 and I'm having a fun time with it so far. I always go for head shots 'cause it's fun seeing their heads blow apart XD
|
Pre-ordered GTA4 the other day, ordering it from GAME gets you free 500 MS points, essentially you get £5 off. Also managed to get hold of Armored Core 4 on 360 for £8 on eBay. It should arrive in a day or so.
|
I pre-oredered GTA4 as well as MGS4. Two games i'm eagerly awaiting for.
GTA4 might be the only new game in the gta series which i may actually play from start to finish ever since GTA3. Also got my hands on call of duty 4, having a blast on single player. Not so great in multi but practice makes perfect right? (and hitting the mute button once in a while also helps) I was also going to get assassins creed but I heard it wasn't so great, I may still get it anyways if i see it cheap enough somewhere |
Picked up Brawl and Apollo Justice the other day, both great games for different reasons, although I expect Brawl to have more lasting appeal...
|
I just got the Metal Gear Solid Collection
Spoiler:
I decided to start on MGS1 and work my way to MGS3. Even though its not chronological, fuck it who cares. This is my first time playing this game series, and so far its pretty awesome. I like sneaking up on guards and breaking their necks...hehehe. |
So I finally caved in and got the MGS: Essentials Collection also. :tpg:
Still, it's 30 bux well spent. |
Just purchased the Special Edition of Prey for Xbox 360 (used of course, excellent condition though), set me back 25 Dollars. I had played the demo of this game for PC ages ago, and I really enjoyed it, and seeing as the reviews had been positive when this game was released, 25 dollars was no problem (and for the Special Edition, because I can't live without my free downloadable album, and pewter figures :)).

Newest haul was Wipeout Fusion and Okage: The Shadow King. I'm such a bargain bin whore.
|
Recently picked up Advance Wars Days of Ruin. So far it's ok, doesn't feel like Dual Strike, in that it's much faster. I'll adjust eventually though.
Also picked up the Metal Gear Solid collection. It's lined up to be my summer project when i'm done school. My buddy bought it, and that inspired me to finally give Metal Gear Solid a try. |
So I haven't spurted out video game spluges in a while, so I'll just mention everything since the eve of SMASH WAIT.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates ~ I don't even know what's going on with this game since I didn't read up on it or anything. I didn't like FFCC on GameCube that much, other than a few mildly entertaining multiplayer hours; but I don't know if this one is at all like its GC title. But hey, it's got FF in the title. >_> Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection ~ The plan of attack is to go through these before picking up the MGS4+PS3 bundle later this year. Mana-Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis ~ I have no idea when I'll get around to playing it, but I got the pretty premium box figure in front of my XBL camera in the meantime. Wii Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training ~ At some point, BRAWL will be taken out of my Wii and I'll try this, but people always wanna get SMASH'd. ;_; The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return ~ Again, at some point I'll use my Wii Zapper on this, but the SMASH-ing hasn't ended yet. I've been pretty reluctant to take BRAWL out of my Wii. It's now been in there for over a month. N+ ~ Fun but maddeningly frustrating. :RAWR: Triggerheart Exelica and Ikaruga ~ Shoot'em up <3. And pre-orders: Grand Theft Auto IV (Special Edition) ~ I'm brushin' up on my Russian. I ordered it online, so I'll be getting it a few days after release. Mario Kart Wii ~ Also pre-ordered it online, but I might cancel if some midnight launch festivities come to fruition. |

As for my recent purchases, I haven't got any since my last post. I would have won Silent Hill 2 and 3 last night if I hadn't been outbid by a frickin' dollar. |

Just picked up The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Returns at Circuit City for $20. It's at that price this week. Pick it up while you people can if you haven't. :333:

Further proof that bargain bins are gold mines.
Picked up a Commandos game. I can't remember it's subtitle, and i haven't played it yet. Picked up Master of Orion 3. It looks great so far. I can't wait till i have enough time to really plough through it. The best purchase of the day (possibly the year) would be Indigo Prophecy. Very good game so far. Elements of survival horror, amazing drama based cinematic gameplay, great voice acting and writing, and oh my goodness the controls are fricked awesome. I'm definitely happy i bought this one. Only thing that bothers me is that it's the edited version of a game that's much edgier in it's plot line. Apperantly the original had uncensored sex scenes, one of which is fully interactive lol. Other things were edited, but this was the most notable. North America is also the only territory to get these mods. Oh well, the rest of the game is still amazing. I recommend this game to just about anyone. |
I guess i'm the only one buying games these days
Went back to that same bargain bin, picked up the following: Paradise Dreamfall The Warfare Collection: Battlefield 1942 Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome Battlefield Vietnam: Redux Medal of Honour: Pacific Assault Medal of Honour: Allied Assault All of them five bucks, yes, even that collection of five games there. Haven't actually played any of them yet, but you can bet i'll be talking about them in my journal soon at least. |

I recently bought Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the PC last Friday and it runs surprisingly well on my laptop. I'm not running it at the max graphics settings and all that stuff, but it's fun and that's all that matters for me.

I almost bought a big purple novelty dildo once. You know. For laughs. An-
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...nkebabs003.jpg I bought a new Wii Remote. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y13...nkebabs004.jpg HURF GURF Harvey Birdman (PSP) - Yeah, it's right out of the Mega CD era of gameplay, but dammit it's like five new episodes of the show! In my pants! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ack_vulcan.jpg Parodius Portable (PSP) - Because Parodius is awesome! I like that stretching the games to fill the screen doesn't look like a public toilet for once, that's Konami magic right there! Shin's Mega Tavern: Persona 3 (PS2) - Haha we finally got it a month before America gets that special FUZZ edition or whatever. It's pretty good, I guess. I think I'd enjoy it more without the boring random generated mess of a tower though. Just make the whole thing about going to the toilet and sleeping in class. The PAL publisher obviously didn't playtest it though, forced 50Hz completely fucks up the FMV's. :cmb: Dream Pinball 3D (Wii) - Importing this set me back just under $30 including shipping, the local release in June will be $100. Gonna be pretty sad when the Freeloader eventually gets blocked! Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (Wii) - I like 'dem pinball games. Funhouse, PIN*BOT and Taxi tables are love. KLAX (Mega Drive) - IT EVEN HAS A SHEET OF STICKERS IN THE MANUAL. (Also GTA IV pre-order~) |
Although it's not technically a purchase, I borrowed Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on 360 from a mate the other day (And he won't get it back till he pays me back the £130 he owes me). It's a pretty awesome game, a big improvement on the last one I played which was Black Arrow.
I finished the single player campaign over the weekend, having a second player in the form of Kaze sped things up as you can respawn each other so don't have to worry about sneaking around so much although I have to say, running headlong into the enemy with a light machinegun isn't really in the spirit of the thing, I kinda prefer playing it tactically. That said, we then played a bunch of terrorist hunts and you have to be way more careful on those, especially on realistic difficulty. We finished a few of those and will hopefully finish off the rest during the week. I've heard that the game is more of an expansion pack for the first than a new game but having not played the first at all, I really enjoy this and I welcome the direction the Rainbow games are taking over the colourful outlines and airstrikes of the newer Ghost Recon games. Sadly, the AI of your team mates is still pretty atrocious and that getting one of them killed means game over is a little frustrating. I can't wait until Ubisoft can get computer controlled friendlies to actually hide behind cover when they're getting shot at... Great fun game though, I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the older ones. Oh yeah, I also downloaded the new Halo 3 maps but Kyndig and Sailor Daravon didn't want to play with me. :( They're alright I guess, nothing spectacular and no amount of patching will ever get rid of the annoying whiny kids or the fact that everyone vetoes every game that's loaded and then complains about the replacement. Seriously, what the fuck do you idiots want to play? Also, no matter how poorly people grasp tactical play in objective games like Frontlines or Battlefield, it's nothing compared to how fucking shit most of the Halo community is when it comes to doing anything other than running around on your own trying to kill people. GTA IV next week and I believe Kaos are releasing a patch for Frontlines allowing voice chat between squad leaders and toning down the spawn-point-raping sentry guns a bit so I might get back to playing that. |
Since I have to import every single game here, I usually make a list with several games to a friend from the states and he send them to me in one package in order to reduce shipping cost. So, I usually get my games every 2 months or so.
I bought a 360 a few months ago and and the games arrived two week ago. I spent like $230 in all those games. Lost Odyssey was like $60, DMC4 $55, and the rest between $10 and $35. All new sealed (except for Mario Strikers). Spoiler:
I also recently got a T-elos figure and a Xenosaga III soundtrack. The figure was pretty expensive ($100 shipping included). Spoiler:
And finally, probably my most precious gamimg purchase to date. It arrived with the 360 games in the same package. A picture can't discribe how beautiful this is ($75 New)... Spoiler:
BTW, thanks DarkMageOzzie for the tip where to get the Poison figure. I finally got that one too =) |
