When you go to put batteries inside your digital camera, remember...

when Scary Bob needs to power his sunrods in the face of an overwhelming undead horde, he uses

P.S.

So... now there's a skeleton focused on one guy, lacking a weapon, and right infront of him is a Paladin, a Hamfist, and an emo mage.

Poor blighter. They're gonna tease the shit out of him in hell.

P.P.S.

All right, I'm off to bed. You nyuckas take it easy.

Would I be right in assuming that if you start firing spells or arrows into melee combat there's a chance you'll hit the wrong person?

Well, some spells have a range of hit, and as for arrows... well, you could do what Murray the Talking Skull here did and crit. miss.

Bradylama Jul 2, 2008 07:33 AM

Right now Argumentus can take a step towards the bottom of the grid, will I be able to attack diagonally, or does it not work that way?

Also, I'm usually on AIM so if I'm not paying attention you guys can go ahead and yell at me but not in the next 5 hours or so because I got a class in an hour.

Brady, what's your AIM? That'll actually be helpful.

You guys can hit me on AIM at MotsPerdu or on MSN at kevinsmithite@hotmail.com

Question. How much water is in our skins? And is the adventurer's pack my possession, or did it mysteriously appear on my back?

And combat question. Since I have quick draw, and drawing it free, how would it affect my turn if I decided to switch weapons?

The unmovable stubborn Jul 2, 2008 06:57 PM

Waterskins hold about 1/2 gallon of water, about a day's worth.

Quick draw lets you DRAW a weapon as a free action, but putting a weapon away is still a minor action. So switching mid-battle would be a minor action unless you just drop whatever you're already holding (picking it back up would be a minor)

People play non halfling rogues? My bad. Apologies, bigger man.

Little Brenty Brent Brent Jul 2, 2008 08:49 PM

Too gay? Seriously? Have you seen the other characters?

Animechanic Jul 2, 2008 10:36 PM

Allrighty, this is far too amusing to stay out of. Please add me to the reserve list. I guess I'll go with a Dragonborn Warlord, and since I suck at names I'll just call him Reptis Sandscale.

I figure the potential for furry jokes and to leave flaming vomit slicks when too inebriated makes the racial selection worth it.

I'm guessing it'll be a while before he makes it to the top of the list, so I'll worry about details later.

We should get a betting pool going over who dies first. (Pang can't take place.)

I'd put my money down on Argumentus. Death by breaking wall with face.

Bradylama Jul 2, 2008 11:42 PM

If the wall breaks his face still wins.

Also my contact info is in my profile.

Also I'd say Scary Bob might be first to get the shaft since his verbosity could make Argumentus confused with rage.

Animechanic Jul 3, 2008 12:22 AM

I'd put my money on Argumentus as well since he seems to be everyone's door-opening pawn of choice.

That being said, I can tell you who my first person to heal with Paladin's Judgment or Laying Hands is going to be: The bruiser who fights on the front lines with me.

Little Brenty Brent Brent Jul 3, 2008 12:31 AM

I have faith that the mouth-breather will eventually come to realize he's being sent in to set off traps, and I can't imagine his limited cognitive capacity affording him much in the way of reason towards diffusing the fireworks that will surely follow.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 3, 2008 12:37 AM

The fun thing is that Argumentus' Intelligence score isn't actually any lower than Gabriel's. His slow speech and bumbling maneuvers may hide a sinister cunning.

Gabriel isn't very bright. He just likes fighting things and generally being a pompous Paladin dick.

Hey Pang, I'd like in as a backup character or whatever.

Do you know of any resources I could use to further research classes and abilities without having to interupt you or anyone else? I'm rusty with much of this.

Animechanic Jul 3, 2008 12:58 AM

I've been looking at this: Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition » Players Pre-4th Edition Handbook

I have no idea if it's complete or accurate though.

Is your FTP on? I can upload the 4th edition books.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 3, 2008 01:16 AM

Pretty much all the fansites are worthless; they got their information from pre-release data and haven't updated it since the books came out. And the official sites won't tell you anything because they want you to buy the books instead.

I'll upload the Player's Handbook to Saxypunch; it didn't really occur to me that people would want to wrestle with the damned thing.

You don't really have to wrestle with the 4th edition. It's so streamlined compared to the other editions.
