Hey! It's either me of BigCN. Ya can't have both! Besides, for some reason I play better in casual play than in tournament play. Maybe it's the pressure!

Chaotic Apr 12, 2008 11:12 PM

Maybe! But don't let that pressure get to you!

Buizel Apr 12, 2008 11:22 PM

Wolf, you don't have to drop out because of my situation. I'll just drop out then and I'll tell my brother to buy his own damn Wii Points in the future. lol

Freelance Apr 12, 2008 11:26 PM

But I was going to drop out anyway and was waiting for the right time to do so! Besides, you're a better player than me so you deserve to stay in the tournament!

AWRRRROOOOOO!!

Keep in mind guys that Slicky's on the outs right now too. As he posted in the other thread, his internet is down for an unspecified amount of time and if the tournament starts before it gets back he said he'd step out.

Slicky and I were planning on partnering, but if he's not in I'll need a new partner as well. Of course, there's always a chance that his internet will return by the time we start and there won't be an issue.

But, I just thought I'd bring attention to this again as people seem to be discussing dropping out as a necessity.

Final Fantasy Phoneteen Apr 13, 2008 09:18 AM

I still need a partner. I thought I'd never find one after my embarrassing showing against ihopz, but I've been playing... adequately against a few people here (Chaotic, Wolf, IC). Nothing great, but I think it's enough to find me a partner.

Identity Crisis May 17, 2008 08:56 PM

Hey there, dead thread~

Are sign-ups still open for the 2v2 tournament? The 1v1 is taking longer than I expected, and I'm back to my not crappy home internet connection. If it's still possible, I'd like to register myself and Twikite as a team.

Chaotic May 26, 2008 03:11 AM

So, I'm just wondering... Is there still any interest in this tournament? The 1v1 tournament took long enough. :gonk:

Kairyu May 26, 2008 03:17 AM

What, of course I'm still interested. And since summer has started over here I will have even more open spots to play those vidya games =D

Though I do wonder if my teammate is still up for it.

Final Fantasy Phoneteen May 26, 2008 10:21 AM

I'm sure a lot of people dropped out, so maybe we could do a slimmed-down tournament. That would go much faster, too.

FatsDomino May 26, 2008 10:37 AM

lol how did people's matches go anyway? I haven't played Brawl online in a while because lag made it practically impossible to get a decent fight going that anyone could be satisfied with.

Chaotic May 26, 2008 10:45 AM

Mine, for the most part, ran pretty smoothly. Aside from the half a second lag that online play produces, there wasn't much after that.

The Plane Is A Tiger May 26, 2008 12:31 PM

That's how most of my matches went too. I don't remember having any actual lag during the tournament aside from that mildly annoying delay. As for the 2v2 tournament, I'm eagerly awaiting getting crushed by IC.

SuperSonic May 27, 2008 08:09 PM

I'm still up for this, I just never really looked for a partner.

As for the lag, it all depends on the people I'm playing with. I think I lagged with a few of you, Icy most recently but I think that got fixed after a short while.

Identity Crisis May 27, 2008 09:18 PM

I'm still game for this; otherwise, I wouldn't have joined so abruptly. If any teams want to do some sparring, let me know, and my partner and I can organize some team battles online. Unfortunately, the lack of communication on the WiFi is a bit irksome, so we'll need to settle on team colors beforehand to avoid confusion.

Also, Chaotic, Twikite doesn't have his own Wii, but he only lives a couple of blocks away from my house. We'll be using my Wii for the tournament.

nazpyro May 27, 2008 09:26 PM

I'm still game for the 2v2 as well. I haven't played it online in a while, I've still been getting some BRAWL time in, though the sessions weren't nearly as challenging as you foos online.

Miles May 27, 2008 09:47 PM

Yes, I'm down.

Chaotic May 27, 2008 09:51 PM

Alrighty, so interest is still high for this.

Still forming teams, any one colored in red still doesn't have a teammate. Given that no one else wants to randomly join, everyone should be able to pick a teammate out of that list. Last two get stuck together.

Also, don't forget to send me team names!

Kairyu May 27, 2008 10:05 PM

Just so you know Basil told me that he and Sprout are more than likely flaking out of this tournament. Too busy with other stuff at the moment was his reason.

Ah damn, we need names now? Might as well just call my team, team pokémans :3:

Chaotic May 27, 2008 10:19 PM

Only if Miles would agree to it. :3:

Send it to me in a PM, I like keeping people surprised about the names.

Miles May 28, 2008 01:29 AM

I'm fine with that, or Team Landmaster. :3:

Kairyu and I played multiple matches today and ours were probably 98% lag free. For some reason he's the only person I can play with without experiencing any lag. Of course having dedicated connections give us a huge advantage over those on college collections. Luckily most people are home now for the summer so I hope that helps out on these 2 vs 2 fights.

Chaotic May 28, 2008 02:21 AM

As far as team names go, Miles and Kai still have to decide on one together and then send me the final name.

Tritoch and nutty still need to send me a name also.

Why am I still on the list? I said that I wanted to drop out one page ago.

...or I said it on another post. lol
Well since there's an even amount of participant guess I'll say and team up with anybody who wants me or team up with the last person (aka you come to me!). If there's an odd participant (when someone drop out) then just drop me out too.

Chaotic May 28, 2008 02:35 AM

My bad. :tpg:

Miles May 28, 2008 09:13 AM

Better watch out for that Kairyu. There was one match where the only three times I died were because of him killing me. Killing his teammate. ;____; And then another time he was burning me to death. I could have reflected it back onto him but then he, my teammate, would take damage. His excuse was he was having FOX for dinner. Get out!
