Why do you all still. Fucking. Care.

Is this woman a Yank joke nobody else bloody gets or are 18-25s a great big Woman's Day demographic waiting to happen?

Dizzy, who is she?

She looks perfect for Diana aka Wonder Woman.

Misogynyst Gynecologist Apr 2, 2006 12:48 PM

Thats Lucy Lawless, fool

solid_snake Apr 2, 2006 01:06 PM

Yes, she is. I don't think they will choose her though. The main problem about Lucy is her age, she is 38. Even though she is in great shape (in case you haven't seen Battlestar Galactica), they probably want to make secuels, and a Wonder Woman over 40 wouldn't be very good (maybe in a Kingdom Come movie).
But Michael Keaton was 38 when he did the first Batman, so maybe...

Holy shit - Lucy Lawless is the perfect Wonder Woman. Wow. She's got the build, and we know that she can act like Wonder Woman thanks to Xena. If a WW movie ever happens, they've got to take Xena - Warrior Princess to be the Amazonian Princess.

I agree, and while she isn't from the Amazon, it would be a good tagline:

"The Warrior Princess is now the Goddess Princess" (Or whatever word to designate her, as Theymciran Princess doesn't sound catchy).

The only way I can see Lindsay Lohan as Wonder Woman would get the role is if she returned to her Mean Girls body, and was cast as WW in her teen years, as the opening background story (I think we saw a verion of this in the old school Super Friends show of all places), even then, they would probably cast someone else if they had brains (Which given the casting choices in some of these movies lately, I doubt so).

I don't think Lucy Lawless is feminine enough. She has a very butch air about her that Wonder Woman definitely does not have. Plus, she's just too damn old.

Also, wtf is up with that cheek sucking face she's making in those pictures?

Amy-Chan Apr 5, 2006 12:10 PM

Wonder Women really needs to have some spunk to her, but still be feminine. I don't know exactly who should play her, but I know Linsay Lohan is not a good match. Maybe someone like Kate Winslet or , someone with a respectable reputation.

Halle Berry is way too over done. Kate Winslet is British though...

I'll give my comment time to garner the proper reaction...hopefully someone will see the multiple facets of humor.

Alice Apr 5, 2006 12:24 PM

I don't get it.

Dopefish Apr 5, 2006 12:28 PM

I said someone.

Aardark, he said SOMEONE. And someone does not include me or you. Now get the hell out of here.

I'm sorry I failed to clear your high standards on this effort. :(

that's what i thought.

I think he was trying to say that I didn't see the humor in him saying Halle Berry-which I did.

Dopefish Apr 5, 2006 01:41 PM

Then at least I didn't fail to strike the funny bone overall!

Anyway, this was an unmitigated disaster. Back to wondering if Lindsay Lohan is "respectable" enough to be Wonder Woman.

Misogynyst Gynecologist Apr 5, 2006 09:55 PM

Neither are you, Crunchy

So whats your fucking point

Don't worry mate ;) I think you're suggestion initiated the correct response in me :p I tried to picture Halle Berry as Wonderwoman, and the image was so ridiculous that it made the new Catwoman outfit seem totally feasible in comparison :p

Maybe a Halle Berry Wonderwoman movie could involve Snakes on an Invisible Plane (with guest appearance by Samuel L. Jackson) ^o^
