Also knkwzrd, that's probably the best sig pic I've seen in a while. :)

Thanks. I can get Electric Warrior up today.

EDIT: Sorry, scratch that. I just remembered my copy of Electric Warrior is fucked up, too. Posting some earlier T.Rex instead. It's a bit folkier but still great.

Seconded! Fantastic album - everybody should hear it at least once.

Awesome.

Just heads up to anyone who planned to upload any Phil Ochs as i'm near the end of uploading his entire discography for the Exposure club.

Paco Mar 31, 2006 03:44 AM

Alright... I have updated the index. It was fucking exhausting and I may have fucked up a link or two; so if you find a broken or erroneous link, please let me know.

Also, I uploaded Café Tacuba's Unplugged album along that whole mix. I hope you guys enjoy that joint as much as I do.

Mucknuggle Apr 1, 2006 12:36 AM

We're getting an album in this year's GFF Soundtrack - it's a best of album. I've PM'd Capo for the details.

Paco Apr 1, 2006 12:26 PM

Fuck yeah! That's so awesome. I think it would be good to start figuring out what's gonna go on that album now, because we have uploaded so much music that it would be kind of hard to have just ONE disc. We'll definitely need a 2 or 3 disc compilation.

Mucknuggle Apr 1, 2006 12:30 PM

Capo has requested that we stick to one disc . . .

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Apr 1, 2006 12:37 PM

More like recommended. If you really need that extra disc, I don't see the problem.

Yamamanama, I just want to personally thank you for uploading Escape from Dragon House. It is so crazy and strange and I am completely in love with it.

Anyway, I've already uploaded one of the electro-hiphop albums I love so much and I'm going to be uploading more (along some other stuff I like). Hopefully you guys will enjoy it.

I agree completely. I was going to upload this myself this week.

Got some electric Miles Davis coming instead.

knkwzrd Apr 1, 2006 04:50 PM

Sadly, no. I haven't been able to get myself a copy yet.

Paco Apr 2, 2006 04:30 AM

Oh my god knkwzrd! The entire Bitches Brew Sessions is <3!

I used to have that too, but then my computer crashed in 2002 and I lost all my music. The Miles Davis stuff I had was what hurt me the most. THANK YOU!

knkwzrd Apr 2, 2006 09:45 AM

No problem. I'll be posting some more of his complete sessions in the future.

GFF Music Exposure Club FTP

I've got some GREAT news for you guys. Alucard has donated approx. to us approx. 25 gigs of space on his FTP! That's right, we have an Official GFF Music Exposure Club FTP! It would be great if you guys could upload your albums to his FTP in addition to providing the usual RapidShare or MegaUpload link. Why keep up with the links you ask? Well, that's because Alucard's FTP is only up while he is at university - so it will be going down for the summer. Anyhow, this is great news. Here's the details:

Please be sure to follow his FTP rules which can be found in his thread by clicking HERE.

IP: akumajoalucard.ath.cx
Port: 2300

--Uploading--
Login: GFF Username
Password: sendit

Upload to the following directory: G Drive/-=GFF Exposure=-/

--Downloading--
Login: GFF Username
Password: gfflives

Also, if it's not too much work, please try to have the files tagged properly (so that it will save Alucard the time it takes to re-tag them himself). Naming should preferably be "Track # - Title", and the files placed in a folder "Artist - Album Title". Thanks Alucard! <3

I just uploaded Denali's The Instinct, and Bella Lea's Limited Release Demo.

I don't actually have Denali's self titled debut, so if anyone can find that I'd really appreciate it if you could upload it for me so the thread has both of their albums. also, Bella Lea changed it's name to Ambulette due to copyright reasons and I know they've put out an EP called The Lottery under their new name that has a few new songs on it. if anyone can find that and upload it as well, I'd be so very happy <3

Also, that Brian Eno is the single most minimalist thing I've ever heard outside of some of the Noise that's been put up, but it's nice for going-to-bed music or backgrounds for writing and things like that. It's so very sparse, making continuous use of simple, quiet themes in a strange, pleasantly sterile way. Thanks for that upload.

Album of the Month is still good to go. I fully intend on running it. We've been back from the crash for about a month now, so it would be great to do it. Unfortunately I have finals coming up soon, so I won't be able to do it this time. If anybody else is interested in organizing it, send me a PM and I'll let you know how I was planning on doing it.

Your quite welcome for the Brian Eno. I'll upload more of his stuff as I find it. In the mean time, check out the Boards of Canada disc. It's similarly weird.

Fuck - and I was JUST about to grab that Nigeria disc. Oh well.

Iwata Apr 3, 2006 12:44 AM

Nevermind, i decided all links will stay in the exposure club, but all new uploads will be in my posted in my journal a week before they get posted to the club.

Xpander Apr 3, 2006 07:26 AM

Cheers to Alucard for providing his FTP space. I'm currently uploading my contributed albums:

Bass 305 - The Best of
Celtic Cross - Hicksville
The Future Sound of London - ISDN
L.S.G. - Into Deep

Mucknuggle Apr 3, 2006 08:21 AM

You guys are going to love me - I found some more Nujabes! I'll upload it later today after it's finished downloading and I've given it a listen (you know, so that I can write a review - not that I'm any good at that).

Paco Apr 4, 2006 01:12 AM

Nice find with those Nujabes singles. Both of those songs can be found on his album Metaphorical Music, which came out before he got involved with the Samurai Champloo project. I have that one too and I want to upload both of them so bad, but I kind of want to leave that up to Plug 4 since they were his uploads in the first place.

Where IS Plug, anyway?

Mucknuggle Apr 4, 2006 07:10 AM

I've been wondering that as well. I'd hunt him down in Montreal if I knew where he lives. I'll be uploading the Nujabes mixtape today - Ristorante. It's uhh.... unique. Some parts of it are much better than others, but overall, it's a good listen.

el jacko Apr 4, 2006 08:50 PM

Wow, Nujabes is really good! I've only heard one of the singles so far but I'll be checking out more.

Just out of curiosity, is anyone interested in the albums I've posted up so far? If they are I can put them on the FTP or upload similar artists/albums.
