EDIT: Oh, and "the Emperor Palpatine guy" is most definitely one of the three mages of Dipan. Most probably Walther. He was depicted in an earlier scan with the other two, presumably Dallas and Gyne.

I get the feeling there are even more characters this time around. The difference being that most of the "extra" einherjar are being designed by someone else. (I think Kou & You designed all characters for the original game, right?) Either way I still think they look nice.

As for the Einherjar, I've heard rumors that there would be around 40 or so characters, but I haven't heard any such confirmation of such things. There do seem to be a lot more, however. Doesn't seem like a bad guess, with images like This One floating around. There're 18 Einherjar right there.

You're right about the art, though. Kou and You Yoshinari did the original game's art, and what seems to be the art for the "main" characters in Silmeria. I've heard that Shunya Yamashita has done the art for the other Einherjar. Shunya Yamashita's site can be found at http://www015.upp.so-net.ne.jp/shunya/

Its looking good so far XD not too high below 30... so its a 'anticipated' game for me for sure :)

Someone on another forum who got that issue of Famitsu said that basically, they said the graphics were good, gameplay good but reviewers thought that there weren't enought tutorials, steep lurning curve and it was difficult.

So it fixed a lot of problems I have with RPGs, nice.

If that's the SoloPS2 one, then it's actually been out since yesterday. However, they've got some weird ass waiting system, so most people have to wait 48 hours before downloading.

You only have to wait if you don't upload enough, you know ^^.

Or if you have no download history, like myself.

If you are logged into the forum it shouldn't take that long before the tracker recognizes you. I started my download yesterday and I'm enjoying the game today. So far... AWESOME.

If Arngrim and Lezard is making a comeback.. and the premise is several hundred years ago, will it be their (Arngrim and Lezard's) forefathers?

Reincarnation plays a large role in Valkyrie Profile, and we know that the Arngrim in Silmeria is a past life of his. It's not so clear with Lezard, though I'm sure someone who has the game already can explain it.

Man, I remember back in the day when people would actually WAIT for the game to just come out in the United States. If you're planning on purchasing the English version, why ARE you downloading the game?

Because back in the day when people would wait for the US release, the internet crawled at five bytes an hour.

No one's going to put any effort into a translation-- the game'll be out in the US in 90 days or so.
